Yes, the Illuvians have been watching your race for a very long time. They where amonst the first races to reach the stars, amonst the first to find other intelligent life- but they never made their presence known. Their way demanded secrecy, occasionally giving you a window into the way to space, not always fully as it had to be your discovery, but guiding you. Unconsciously, granted.

But hey. Now you have the ability to touch the stars, and the Illuvians are about to make their prescense known to you. They know your language, your biology, everything. And they need you, because out there there is something even older and bigger then they are...

And that threat must be dealt with.[/i]

In this RP you will play as one of two things-

[b]Nations-[/b] Nations are coalitions of planets. As a nation, you have total political, social and military control. You start out small, perhaps with only a few planets, but as you go on your nation will grow. The goal of the Nation is to either ally with all other nations or conquer them.

[b]PoIs-[/b] Persons of Interest. A Person of Interest can be within any nation, although if you choose to have a PoI outside of your nation he can't be massively powerful. Persons of Interest can be soldiers, merchants, pirates, laypeople, or pretty much anyone- they also have the option to have superpowers. Yes, superpowers. As a result of the limited interaction of the Illuvians, some people have been given through them amazing powers. Flying, strength, all sorts of stuff. The goal of PoIs can be chosen. Superpowers, and indeed, PoIs, are optional.

Name: Illuvian Intergalactic Organization (I2O)

Species: Illuvians- the Illuvians are tall, lanky bipeds, gray-skinned with long legs and arms that reach down to their knees, and fingers that just barely touch the ground. They stand quite straight, and have slits for eyes, ears and nose, but they have no mouths. Their "language" involves thrumming noises from their lungs that exits via their nasal slits, from which no phlem is flung since their immune systems have evolved to the point that they no longer need it to capture germs. Illuvians absorb all of their nutrients from their skin, and their "meals" consist of long baths in sugars and minerals. They can live for about 250 years on average, although they can reach thousands of years old.

History: Millions of years ago, the Illuvians where once a warlike race, divided on their homeworld into several nations. The two largest nations, [i]Mm Hoigah[/i] and [i]Mm Wandre,[/i] where caught in a massive race to develop WMDs. The race came to a head when the two nations clashed in conventional combat, in which millions of civillians and troops where massacred. In order to avoid an atrocity like that ever happening again, the two sides compromised to develop a united space program that would allow them to find new planets amounst the stars.

They needed these planets- Nn Shaka was quickly running out of resources, and demands where higher then ever. The program grew over thousands of years, and the Illuvians spread quite far. They discovered many races on their way to sentience, but chose not to let them know of the Illuvian race until they reached space. Erstwhile, [i]Mm Hoigah [/i]and [i]Mm Wandre [/i]had joined together in order to make a more unified constitutional republican nation under the banner of I2O.

As nations began to reach space, I2O used their years of researching the other races of the universe in order to send out a SETI beacon in the language of that species, explaining the millenia that they had been watched and giving them coordinates to [i]Nn Shaka [/i]for a very important meeting...

Homeworld:[i] Nn Shaka,[/i] which translates to [i]the Sea.[/i] The planet is about 85% water, thus it's name. Most of the fresh water has evaporated due to the exploitation millions of years ago, but the planet has been a status of restoration for generations.

Name: The Confederate Planets of Inaris

Species: Huari, Ofla

History: The Confederate Planets or Inaris is made up of two races and their home worlds, both orbiting a red dwarf named Inaris. Needless to say Inaris is a rare star, with two life supporting planets it is a wonder of the universe. These two races, the Huari of the planet Sontaris, and the Ofla of the planet Jafil both evolved independently, although there are signs of common ancestry that could be linked to a single comet seeding both worlds with life. These two races are both of aquatic decent, barring many similarities to cephalopods. However the Huari are much more squid like, they bare large beaks like squid but have more of a mushroom body than a spear. This mushroom body contains jets that propel the Huari through the water, they were basically the sharks of Sontaris. They are around 5 feet long and 2 feet wide, they have 20 tentacles and a 6 inch beak. The Huari grew on their world quite normally, evolving and changed until they formed sapience. The Huari fought many wars under the seas of Sontaris, and as such they became a very militaristic race, but they would not fight if it was not necessary. The Huari eventually developed massive cities, used to protect themselves from the dangers outside in the ocean. The Huari soon started looking out into space once they managed to build structures from the sea floor up to the surface. They became immensely interested in space and soon began attempting to reach it, but as hard as they tried things stood in their way. Eventually they found an element in the crust of Sontaris that allowed them to reach space, and from there is was not very long until they found the Ofla.
The Ofla are much like the Huari, but they look much more like huge octopus in appearance. The Ofla are 4 feet wide and long, with 5 tentacles. their heads on these tentacles are a square foot and quite triangular. This is odd for such a soft bodied creature, but the brain the Ofle possess in that head is also impressive. The Ofla have a massive memory capacity, living nearly 1000 years it is definitely needed, in comparison the Huari live a mere 200 and have no need for such an adaptation. The Ofla filled a predator role much like the Huari, but they were much more reclusive, not a top predator by any means. The Ofla gained sapience just after the Huari, and they began a mirror path of advances, about 40 years behind the Huari. The Ofla eventually had cities very similar, and intreats very similar, but for the Ofla there was no way to escape their world and escape to space. There was no element to power a machine that could take them there. This always left the Ofla like the Huari in all ways other than having machines to travel faster. Eventually the Ofla were discovered by the Huari and a treaty was accepted by both sides. As they progressed trade occurred and the Ofla constructed vessels much like the Huari, and eventually it was ruled they were so similar that they bonded into one nation.
Now Ofla and Huari live together on both worlds, the Ofla usually handle diplomacy and other areas as their long lives are good for this. but the Huari have become the military side of the Confederation, having shorter lives and more children it was clear that they suited this role better.

Homeworld: Sontrais, a massive ocean world. Jafil, a world with more ocean than land, but dense life on both sides.

Name: The New Conglomerate.

Species: Veroni
A humanoid species, two arms and two legs, they bare slight resemblance to humans, albeit a bit taller. Mammalian, physically strong(ish), good intellegence. What more can a species ask for? Oh yah, war. They are very prone to war, but they do not pursue it. It pursues them.

History: They have been fighting for as long as their history records, and very often the wars were so fierce that their technology was destroyed several times. One day they'd have bolt action rifles, the next they would be using bows. After around twenty years of an uneasy peace, two factions, The Grand Conglomerate and The Republic of Ashtar went to war for twelve years. Twelve. Bloody. Years.

Over 98 million deaths occurred in the war from the overuse of the Veroni's newest weapon. The nuclear bomb. Eventually, the war was one by the Grand Conglomerate with the invention of the Gauss Rifle. No enemy on the field of battle could fight against the new weapon that a single bullet would do as much damage as a .50cal anti-vehicular round. The Grand Conglomerate, looking back on the bloodshed, greatly reformed the people and government in order to stop wars.

They succeeded, and formed the New Conglomerate. For over five-hundred years, peace has been all the Veroni people know. The military no longer is the Juggernaut it used to be, and advances in science and medicine have been extraordinary. Life expectancy and the population rose to new heights. By the year 2348, there were over Ten Billion people.

This also caused problems; as one could guess. Overpopulation/crowding was a massive issue on the New Conglomerate's agenda. There was only one answer. Space Colonization. For Seventy-Two years, massive funding has been put into space colonization, and by the year 2527, Their solar system(Only four planets, including their homeworld) was colonized.

This marks the true golden age of the New Conglomerate. This. Is. Now.

Homeworld: A lush earth like planet, a bit warmer though, the Homeworld of the Veroni people is known as Eclipse. It is large then earth and warmer, but only by small amounts. It's plant life, of course, is also different. Massive forests are rarer then on earth, because of more industrialization and need for timber. Pollution is nearly non-existent as well. Thanks to the Veroni people using Hydrogen and Helium-3 as their main fuel source.

Janus has the ability to, via a form of telepathy, know what any given organism desires most. Additionally, he has near boundless power to appear and provide said organism with choices. Nerve wracking choices, choices that cannot be walked away from. Choices that question their integrity and how much they are willing to sacrifice.

Janus, at best, is a mirror. He does not exist without others and others' desires; he is at his strongest when someone is hell-bent on something; his weakest when apathy abounds. He skips through history books and wars yet to come, offering choices, choices, choices. He has near omniscience and near omnipotence when it comes to crafting the choices to those he presents them to.

Bio:

Janus has merely existed for as long as he can recall. He remembers no father or mother, no childhood or youth. He began torturing people the moment he came into being; and hasn't stopped. Whether he's done more good or ill is arguable; which is what he loves most. Janus is a trickster, a fox, a sly son of a b*tch, but he is fair. Take a choice or walk away. It matters not to him, he merely loves the psychological factors of it.

He appears most when people are weakest or in need of something the most. Your arm for a bottle of water in the Sahara? Or perhaps something more complicated. Inner or outer beauty to the ugly child. A victory in battle for a general, but at what cost? He carries a copy of the Monkey's Paw and the Devil and Daniel Webster with him everywhere, reading through them every chance he gets.

Name: The Union of Seraphi.

Species: Serachi. A humanoid race of beings with four arms and two legs. They are rather thin and do not look that muscular but are pretty strong. But they're real strength is their intelligence. They always try to figure things out, which could be problematic.

History: They have been rather peaceful for most of their existence. Until when they were rather modern, a faction known as the Grand Confederacy of Seraphi Came about and took over most of the earth... As a united confederacy there was some infighting but it was quelled easily, and they succeeded in taking over 70% of Seraphi I. Eventually all of the smaller states united and formed the The Federation of Oceania and fought back all fronts, now then this conflict? It went on for 34 fluxing years, the losses on both sides were horrible, however more so for the Confederacy. Now then, on the 37th, day of the 37th year, both sides were tired of fighting and in last ditch effort launched a barrage of nuclear missiles at each other's major cities and military bases.

Both sides were driven underground too weak to fight... Especially after 23 billion deaths. Eventually after a few hundred years the planet recovered and both sides returned to the surface, still traumatized and shattered from the war, they put down their weapons and united. Eventually they created a few space ships and in the next few hundred years they developed pretty advanced technology. Now they renamed themselves the Union of Seraphi and now choose not to fight each other, but they still have plenty of weapons in case they need to fight someone else. They eventually colonized 2 other planets and are living peacefully.

Homeworld: Seraphi I, a large rather bio-diverse planet with frozen tundras at the poles and 9 continents and various deserts, jungles, plains, mountains etc.

Name: The Starways Congress

Species: Run by the Morfics, but allows one representative for every species discovered and accepted into the interstellar level.

History: The Morfics are a hiveminded species, so the only wars that ever happened were between queens of hives. These wars, because the soldiers were completely under the control of the queens, both mentally and bodily, went to war and threw themselves into battle without the slightest thought of preserving their life. The wars were bloody and unforgiving, and inevitably left with the life of the opposing queen being taken. Eventually, one hive succeeded in taking dominance over the rest of the planet, and an order to prevent future wars was established: When a female child was born, she would be trained to be a queen. However, authority and connection with the rest of the species would not take affect until either the current queen allowed so or if the current queen's mind was destroyed through natural death or murder. This was to ensure the would-be queen would not have military control to stage a coup. If another female child is conceived, the child is killed at birth.

Once the order was ratified, the workers, now under the control of one mind, began the rapid development of technologies. With a whole species working towards complete understanding of one subject, research does not take long. And because they feed like a normal part of the cycle of life, food is never a problem, so long as the population stays controlled. Eventually, interstellar travel was achieved, and the goal was established: create a complete universal government, with every species contributing towards others' development. Eager to share and get knowledge from the other races of the galaxy, the Starways congress was founded, with the queen as the leader and founder. In truth, the only authority the queen possess at Starways meetings is to end a meeting. Other than that, no authority is present besides the right to vote on and present ideas. This was enacted to encourage species participation.

However, outside the walls of the Congress chambers, Morfic fleets seek to enforce the laws decided by the Congress, with any violators either executed or having their species subject to genocide, depending on the amount of violators. War is tolerated, as it is a basic natural struggle for supremacy. The Congress will become active and assist in certain wars, if the threat is great enough or goes against one of the Congress' many laws.

The life of a queen is extremely long. While a normal drone has a lifespan of about twenty years, a queen has one of about three hundred. Faster-than-light travel was developed, and contrary to many theories proposed in the 'golden age' of Morfic history, time travel did not occur, however relative and subjective effects did. Thanks to hivemind communication, which is an extremely uncommon trait in species, as they found out, a faster-than-light communication method was not needed. However, it is still subject to relativity. If a Morfic is traveling faster-than-light, and sends a message to the Morfic homeworld and currently only possessed planet, the message may not arrive for many years, while it will appear within minutes or even seconds of the sending. The Starways Congress will soon many species, both advanced and barbaric.

The Celestilorenarath are a relatively young race being about as old as humans. They developed and evolved much like we did only with some other changes. See while humans can only use about 10% of their brains, this race can use 25% and it makes a big difference. This extra 15% allows them to become incorporeal. Becoming incorporeal takes a lot of energy and inhibits them in some ways. For example they cannot interact with anything solid. If they tried to pick something up it would simply pass through their hand. Being incorporeal can be helpful though. When in this state, Celestilorenarath can't be harmed by kinetic weapons but energy weapons still work. It also allows them to pass through walls or any solid/gas matter. They can't pass through liquid though until they become solid again. Lastly, they can't use any other powers in this form.

The extra brain power also allows them to learn faster than humans. Hence why they have become so advanced over a short time. Being able to share information telepathically also has allowed the whole race to connect and learn from their brightest scientists. This telepathic ability has also been a key to their religion for many claim to have heard the spirits speak in their mind. Over time the race learned minor telekinesis, but it can only be used on small, light objects.

The planet of Celest is small so the race has remained in the millions as far as population goes. Celest has a bit denser air than Earth so storms are more common. The vegetation is mainly yellow and blue colored and tends to be more vine-like. Soil is almost always a tan to peach color and, the water remains blue. The Celestilorenarath's technology is based mostly on energy shields. So much infact that homes and buildings are built using shield-domes. There are solid metal constructions however on the planet and all vehicles are made of metal. The most weapons of this race tend to use particles and rays with some kinetic here and there.

A council of 12 runs the whole empire. Six can be found in their fleet while the other six remain on the homeworld. If change is wanted then the idea must gain support from a least a third of the population before the council takes it into consideration.

As far as religion goes the Celestilorenarath believe in great ancestor spirits that watch over them (much like Native Americans). They are not Zealots however.

Name: The Commonwealth of Mohogian Colonies

Species: Mohogs. This race has a long snout that droops down in front of their mouth and big black eyes. Their skin is orange burst with hints of yellow here and there. Their legs have knees that bend backwards and their shins are outlined with a row of horns. The Mohogian language is closest to that of the Russians, using various symbols to represent 33 vowels and consonants. An average Mohogs can live to the age of 175, but if given proper medical assistance and a healthy environment, they can live up to 5oo years old.

History: The Mohogs used to be peaceful herbivores that followed their religion of Prangakism until tribes began to form on their home planet of Panberedon. As the first Mohogian tribesmen held the first set of spears, the Mohogs new that they would have to cease continuing on as peaceful and begin to eliminate all of the non-believers (or every non-Mohogian tribe). Once the Mohogian civilization began to form and cites popped up across the face of their home planet, certain groups of Mohogs began to lose faith in their religion and began to rebel.

A long war would ensue the planet and the Mohogian people. The war was ended when a fanatical dictator by the name of Quelesnar rose to power and destroyed the rebel forces at the battle for New Mohogs City. Personally leading his force of 20,000 troops and a division of 100 heavily armed M-18 Stinger Tanks, General Quelesnar pushed the rebel forces out of the city, fighting it out urban block-by-block warfare style. He lost 1,000 troops and had thousands more wounded, but he ultimately ended up pushing the rebels out of the city and killed off the remnants of their forces.

Soon after the elimination of the rebels, Quelesnar began the Mohogian space program (or MSP for short). This program was designed originally to set up satellites and put them in orbit around the planet so that communications between governors would be easier, but Quelesnar saw some potential in the program after the first ten satellites were launched into orbit. He had the scraps from the returning launch capsuls welded together and intensely upgraded to create the first space ship. Then after the beginning of the MSP program, Quelesnar watched the first rocket launch into space and then monitored its course to their planet's moon Erit. The MSP proved very useful during the first mission to Erit when Mohogs astronauts found a group of spice geysers on the northern pole of Erit and sent back information about its contents. Hoping to profit from it, Quelesnar sent out more spacecraft with special colonization equipment to set up a colony close to the spice geysers.

After many failed attempts to colonize their moon, Quelesnar sent out a whole new breed of spacecraft called the Rogue. This spacecraft was made specifically to run on a special engine that generated a gravitational pull that could be directed in any way to get the ship anywhere at any speed up to 5,000 kph. Due to the new technology, the creation of the Rogue was extremely expensive and put the Mohogian civilization into a depression, the Rogue setting up the colony at the same time. Once Quelesnar began to receive the first shipments of spice from Erit, he sent the Rogue out to their other terrestrial planet Oyniak to try and locate more spice geysers. The Rogue sent back a short video of the planet Nomac entering the sun and footage of a the gas giant Xenor. Then the Rogue sent back reports on the planet Oyniak. These reports, later titled as the "Father's Secrets" reports, held precious information about the levels of expensive minerals and a spice caves deep underneath the planet's icy exterior.

Pleased to hear this, Quelesnar had the Rogue set up a colony and called back the Rogue and received his first shipment of spice and expensive minerals from Oyniak. He then created more spacecrafts like the first generation and kept the Rogue in a secret bunker. With these newly produced spacecraft, Quelesnar set them out to explore the wonders of their Maximodius Solar System.

Homeworld: Paberedon. This lush planet is covered by 65% water, 30% land, and 5% Mohogian made structures. The planet goes through four seasons annually and is home to the Mohogian people as well as other animal and plant life.

Name: Grand Federation of the Rinckle Emipre.

History: The Rinckle are probably the most violent species known to the Illuvians. For the millions of years of their existence, the Rinckle have always found themselves trying to get the biggest stick around, and beating the crap out of anyone who opposed them. Even before they earned intelligence, they’ve been stockpiling the ability to fight. At no point has it been recorded that they would-- or even could-- retreat from battle.

The Rinckle’s instinct of fight or fight eventually became a matter of honour, with those that would ever decide to retreat shunned by the rest. As a result, they often went to war for no apparent reason just to prove themselves as powerful warriors. And yet, despite this, this wasn’t the darkest point in Rinckle history. It came only one thousand years later, when they realized fighting was fun. Wars were no longer fought for honour, they became a matter of keeping people from being bored. Technological advancements only enhanced wars, and the idea of having restrictions would only dampen the fun. This meant that wars would be incredibly bloody and wouldn’t end because people [i]liked[/i] this.

At some point, one of the wiser Rinckle said it was wrong for them to fight—and his home city was promptly nuked. However, his words must have remained, for the people of Cicoet united under one banner so that the wars would end. They focused their projects on moving their race away from the bloodlust in their past. They soon set up a space program, and hoped to redeem themselves to whomever decided they were blood-thirsty fighters, and nothing more.
Homeworld: The home planet of Cicoet is rather unique compared to other planets. Sure, the planet’s a giant savannah, with small and sparse forests, but that’s not the really unique part of it. What makes it unique is the fact that most of it is [i]blood,[/i] giving it a unique red colour. It is unlikely that this was caused by lots of deaths just somehow making it red; because of the fact Cicoet doesn’t have enough blood to shed in order to achieve it. Or so the Rinckle want to believe…

We should make sure that powers are balanced, somehow. I really hate joining an RP with a situational but well thought out character, just to have someone join after me with "lolz i canz obliteratez things with my mind".

It gets annoying, because when there's a clear "top dog" everyone starts vying to be the best; myself included. It's infuriating to be up against a character that simply can't be beaten.

Colossus had a character one time who could only be killed if someone wasn't intentionally trying to. His character cut off his own head and it grew back. We'd have empire-building on one hand, but we'd also have super individuals. Maybe they're the result of government testing, maybe, like Superman, different conditions on different planets give the their abilities. Maybe they don't have abilities at all- they're politicians? Tacticians? War heroes (prolly not for me, I've been down the road of making them too yammin' important)?

[b]Species:[/b] Huari, Ofla
[b]History:[/b] The Confederate Planets or Inaris is made up of two races and their home worlds, both orbiting a red dwarf named Inaris. Needless to say Inaris is a rare star, with two life supporting planets it is a wonder of the universe. These two races, the Huari of the planet Sontaris, and the Ofla of the planet Jafil both evolved independently, although there are signs of common ancestry that could be linked to a single comet seeding both worlds with life. These two races are both of aquatic decent, barring many similarities to cephalopods. However the Huari are much more squid like, they bare large beaks like squid but have more of a mushroom body than a spear. This mushroom body contains jets that propel the Huari through the water, they were basically the sharks of Sontaris. They are around 5 feet long and 2 feet wide, they have 20 tentacles and a 6 inch beak. The Huari grew on their world quite normally, evolving and changed until they formed sapience. The Huari fought many wars under the seas of Sontaris, and as such they became a very militaristic race, but they would not fight if it was not necessary. The Huari eventually developed massive cities, used to protect themselves from the dangers outside in the ocean. The Huari soon started looking out into space once they managed to build structures from the sea floor up to the surface. They became immensely interested in space and soon began attempting to reach it, but as hard as they tried things stood in their way. Eventually they found an element in the crust of Sontaris that allowed them to reach space, and from there is was not very long until they found the Ofla.
The Ofla are much like the Huari, but they look much more like huge octopus in appearance. The Ofla are 4 feet wide and long, with 5 tentacles. their heads on these tentacles are a square foot and quite triangular. This is odd for such a soft bodied creature, but the brain the Ofle possess in that head is also impressive. The Ofla have a massive memory capacity, living nearly 1000 years it is definitely needed, in comparison the Huari live a mere 200 and have no need for such an adaptation. The Ofla filled a predator role much like the Huari, but they were much more reclusive, not a top predator by any means. The Ofla gained sapience just after the Huari, and they began a mirror path of advances, about 40 years behind the Huari. The Ofla eventually had cities very similar, and intreats very similar, but for the Ofla there was no way to escape their world and escape to space. There was no element to power a machine that could take them there. This always left the Ofla like the Huari in all ways other than having machines to travel faster. Eventually the Ofla were discovered by the Huari and a treaty was accepted by both sides. As they progressed trade occurred and the Ofla constructed vessels much like the Huari, and eventually it was ruled they were so similar that they bonded into one nation.
Now Ofla and Huari live together on both worlds, the Ofla usually handle diplomacy and other areas as their long lives are good for this. but the Huari have become the military side of the Confederation, having shorter lives and more children it was clear that they suited this role better.

A humanoid species, two arms and two legs, they bare slight resemblance to humans, albeit a bit taller. Mammalian, physically strong(ish), good intellegence. What more can a species ask for? Oh yah, war. They are very prone to war, but they do not pursue it. It pursues them.

[b]History:[/b] They have been fighting for as long as their history records, and very often the wars were so fierce that their technology was destroyed several times. One day they'd have bolt action rifles, the next they would be using bows. After around twenty years of an uneasy peace, two factions, The Grand Conglomerate and The Republic of Ashtar went to war for twelve years. Twelve. Bloody. Years.

Over 98 million deaths occurred in the war from the overuse of the Veroni's newest weapon. The nuclear bomb. Eventually, the war was one by the Grand Conglomerate with the invention of the Gauss Rifle. No enemy on the field of battle could fight against the new weapon that a single bullet would do as much damage as a .50cal anti-vehicular round. The Grand Conglomerate, looking back on the bloodshed, greatly reformed the people and government in order to stop wars.

They succeeded, and formed the New Conglomerate. For over five-hundred years, peace has been all the Veroni people know. The military no longer is the Juggernaut it used to be, and advances in science and medicine have been extraordinary. Life expectancy and the population rose to new heights. By the year 2348, there were over Ten Billion people.

This also caused problems; as one could guess. Overpopulation/crowding was a massive issue on the New Conglomerate's agenda. There was only one answer. Space Colonization. For Seventy-Two years, massive funding has been put into space colonization, and by the year 2527, Their solar system(Only four planets, including their homeworld) was colonized.

This marks the true golden age of the New Conglomerate. This. Is. Now.

[b]Homeworld:[/b] A lush earth like planet, a bit warmer though, the Homeworld of the Veroni people is known as Eclipse. It is large then earth and warmer, but only by small amounts. It's plant life, of course, is also different. Massive forests are rarer then on earth, because of more industrialization and need for timber. Pollution is nearly non-existent as well. Thanks to the Veroni people using Hydrogen and Helium-3 as their main fuel source.

Rakaens: Furry, rough looking creatures, about as tall as a man when standing. They have roughly humanoid figures and their whole bodies are covered in a pitch black fur, with dark blue and purple patches and patterns on many of them. They have wickedly sharp claws, curved and built for ripping into things. They're unbelievably fast and agile. Most of the elite of the band are these.

Kaerons: The muscle. Large, brutish species, with leathery tough skin and a thick skull. They're stereotypically not all that intelligent, but their huge, bulging muscles and brute strength easily make up for it. Have a hunched over posture, and their knuckles have bone plating on them.

Robots: Not technically a species, but a part of the group nonetheless. These vary in size and shape, and generally aren't capable of original thought

Enreans: The majority of the pirate band are these. They're not all that strong, not all that fast, but are balanced between it all. What they lack in strength they make up for in cunning and brainpower, and they dont have a shortage of it. Small, frail creatures, with sharp teeth and cunning little eyes.

Other: Fairly self explanatory

History: The leader of them, Chek Darkshirn, was the one who started the band originally. It had been named 'Dark Terror' at the time, and he pulled the most cunning and wicked he could find from every planet and ship he could. Not essentially the cruelest, but those who were willing to stride on the other side of the law for their own profit. However, a large empire took notice of them, and tried to crush them under it's foot.
War was waged between the pirates, at the time a group of 1000, and the planet, who had inferior technology and a less then sizable fleet. While the pirates never managed to destroy the civilization, they did obliterate several ports and just about destroyed their economy. Every trade ship was pillaged and every satellite shot down, until it's allies stepped in.

The Dark Terror was annihilated, and Chek was forced to reform it from the remains, piecing together what was left of his crew and patching up a ship. He renamed them the 'Crimson Claw' in remembrance of lives lost, and sent them off into space on their new ship, 'The Dark Terror'. Now they're nothing more then a small group of pirates, their reputation shattered, but their technology and their cunning not. Chek is no longer the leader, being sent down a rank due to the disaster they've come to known as 'That Incident'

Homeworld: Since they're parts of already space faring races, they come from all over. Currently, the main ship is located... Wherever Turtle thinks it should be!

History: They have been rather peaceful for most of their existence. Until when they were rather modern, a faction known as the Grand Confederacy of Seraphi Came about and took over most of the earth... As a united confederacy there was some infighting but it was quelled easily, and they succeeded in taking over 70% of Seraphi I. Eventually all of the smaller states united and formed the The Federation of Oceania and fought back all fronts, now then this conflict? It went on for 34 fluxing years, the losses on both sides were horrible, however more so for the Confederacy. Now then, on the 37th, day of the 37th year, both sides were tired of fighting and in last ditch effort launched a barrage of nuclear missiles at each other's major cities and military bases.

Both sides were driven underground too weak to fight... Especially after 23 billion deaths. Eventually after a few hundred years the planet recovered and both sides returned to the surface, still traumatized and shattered from the war, they put down their weapons and united. Eventually they created a few space ships and in the next few hundred years they developed pretty advanced technology. Now they renamed themselves the Union of Seraphi and now choose not to fight each other, but they still have plenty of weapons in case they need to fight someone else. They eventually colonized 2 other planets and are living peacefully.

Homeworld: Seraphi I, a large rather bio-diverse planet with frozen tundras at the poles and 9 continents and various deserts, jungles, plains, mountains etc.

Name: Illuvian Intergalactic Organization (I2O)

Species: Illuvians- the Illuvians are tall, lanky bipeds, gray-skinned with long legs and arms that reach down to their knees, and fingers that just barely touch the ground. They stand quite straight, and have slits for eyes, ears and nose, but they have no mouths. Their "language" involves thrumming noises from their lungs that exits via their nasal slits, from which no phlem is flung since their immune systems have evolved to the point that they no longer need it to capture germs. Illuvians absorb all of their nutrients from their skin, and their "meals" consist of long baths in sugars and minerals. They can live for about 250 years on average, although they can reach thousands of years old.

History: Millions of years ago, the Illuvians where once a warlike race, divided on their homeworld into several nations. The two largest nations, [i]Mm Hoigah[/i] and [i]Mm Wandre,[/i] where caught in a massive race to develop WMDs. The race came to a head when the two nations clashed in conventional combat, in which millions of civillians and troops where massacred. In order to avoid an atrocity like that ever happening again, the two sides compromised to develop a united space program that would allow them to find new planets amounst the stars.

They needed these planets- Nn Shaka was quickly running out of resources, and demands where higher then ever. The program grew over thousands of years, and the Illuvians spread quite far. They discovered many races on their way to sentience, but chose not to let them know of the Illuvian race until they reached space. Erstwhile, [i]Mm Hoigah [/i]and [i]Mm Wandre [/i]had joined together in order to make a more unified constitutional republican nation under the banner of I2O.

As nations began to reach space, I2O used their years of researching the other races of the universe in order to send out a SETI beacon in the language of that species, explaining the millenia that they had been watched and giving them coordinates to [i]Nn Shaka [/i]for a very important meeting...

Homeworld:[i] Nn Shaka,[/i] which translates to [i]the Sea.[/i] The planet is about 85% water, thus it's name. Most of the fresh water has evaporated due to the exploitation millions of years ago, but the planet has been a status of restoration for generations.

History: The Morfics are a hiveminded species, so the only wars that ever happened were between queens of hives. These wars, because the soldiers were completely under the control of the queens, both mentally and bodily, went to war and threw themselves into battle without the slightest thought of preserving their life. The wars were bloody and unforgiving, and inevitably left with the life of the opposing queen being taken. Eventually, one hive succeeded in taking dominance over the rest of the planet, and an order to prevent future wars was established: When a female child was born, she would be trained to be a queen. However, authority and connection with the rest of the species would not take affect until either the current queen allowed so or if the current queen's mind was destroyed through natural death or murder. This was to ensure the would-be queen would not have military control to stage a coup. If another female child is conceived, the child is killed at birth. Once the order was ratified, the workers, now under the control of one mind, began the rapid development of technologies. With a whole species working towards complete understanding of one subject, research does not take long. And because they feed like a normal part of the cycle of life, food is never a problem, so long as the population stays controlled. Eventually, interstellar travel was achieved, and the goal was established: create a complete universal government, with every species contributing towards others' development. Eager to share and get knowledge from the other races of the galaxy, the Starways congress was founded, with the queen as the leader and founder. In truth, the only authority the queen possess at Starways meetings is to end a meeting. Other than that, no authority is present besides the right to vote on and present ideas. This was enacted to encourage species participation. However, outside the walls of the Congress chambers, Morfic fleets seek to enforce the laws decided by the Congress, with any violators either executed or having their species subject to genocide, depending on the amount of violators. War is tolerated, as it is a basic natural struggle for supremacy. The Congress will become active and assist in certain wars, if the threat is great enough or goes against one of the Congress' many laws. The life of a queen is extremely long. While a normal drone has a lifespan of about twenty years, a queen has one of about three hundred. Faster-than-light travel was developed, and contrary to many theories proposed in the 'golden age' of Morfic history, time travel did not occur, however relative and subjective effects did. Thanks to hivemind communication, which is an extremely uncommon trait in species, as they found out, a faster-than-light communication method was not needed. However, it is still subject to relativity. If a Morfic is traveling faster-than-light, and sends a message to the Morfic homeworld and currently only possessed planet, the message may not arrive for many years, while it will appear within minutes or even seconds of the sending. The Starways Congress will soon many species, both advanced and barbaric.

Species: Mohogs. This race has a long snout that droops down in front of their mouth and big black eyes. Their skin is orange burst with hints of yellow here and there. Their legs have knees that bend backwards and their shins are outlined with a row of horns. The Mohogian language is closest to that of the Russians, using various symbols to represent 33 vowels and consonants. An average Mohogs can live to the age of 175, but if given proper medical assistance and a healthy environment, they can live up to 5oo years old.

History: The Mohogs used to be peaceful herbivores that followed their religion of Prangakism until tribes began to form on their home planet of Panberedon. As the first Mohogian tribesmen held the first set of spears, the Mohogs new that they would have to cease continuing on as peaceful and begin to eliminate all of the non-believers (or every non-Mohogian tribe). Once the Mohogian civilization began to form and cites popped up across the face of their home planet, certain groups of Mohogs began to lose faith in their religion and began to rebel.

A long war would ensue the planet and the Mohogian people. The war was ended when a fanatical dictator by the name of Quelesnar rose to power and destroyed the rebel forces at the battle for New Mohogs City. Personally leading his force of 20,000 troops and a division of 100 heavily armed M-18 Stinger Tanks, General Quelesnar pushed the rebel forces out of the city, fighting it out urban block-by-block warfare style. He lost 1,000 troops and had thousands more wounded, but he ultimately ended up pushing the rebels out of the city and killed off the remnants of their forces.

Soon after the elimination of the rebels, Quelesnar began the Mohogian space program (or MSP for short). This program was designed originally to set up satellites and put them in orbit around the planet so that communications between governors would be easier, but Quelesnar saw some potential in the program after the first ten satellites were launched into orbit. He had the scraps from the returning launch capsuls welded together and intensely upgraded to create the first space ship. Then after the beginning of the MSP program, Quelesnar watched the first rocket launch into space and then monitored its course to their planet's moon Erit. The MSP proved very useful during the first mission to Erit when Mohogs astronauts found a group of spice geysers on the northern pole of Erit and sent back information about its contents. Hoping to profit from it, Quelesnar sent out more spacecraft with special colonization equipment to set up a colony close to the spice geysers.

After many failed attempts to colonize their moon, Quelesnar sent out a whole new breed of spacecraft called the Rogue. This spacecraft was made specifically to run on a special engine that generated a gravitational pull that could be directed in any way to get the ship anywhere at any speed up to 5,000 kph. Due to the new technology, the creation of the Rogue was extremely expensive and put the Mohogian civilization into a depression, the Rogue setting up the colony at the same time. Once Quelesnar began to receive the first shipments of spice from Erit, he sent the Rogue out to their other terrestrial planet Oyniak to try and locate more spice geysers. The Rogue sent back a short video of the planet Nomac entering the sun and footage of a the gas giant Xenor. Then the Rogue sent back reports on the planet Oyniak. These reports, later titled as the "Father's Secrets" reports, held precious information about the levels of expensive minerals and a spice caves deep underneath the planet's icy exterior.

Pleased to hear this, Quelesnar had the Rogue set up a colony and called back the Rogue and received his first shipment of spice and expensive minerals from Oyniak. He then created more spacecrafts like the first generation and kept the Rogue in a secret bunker. With these newly produced spacecraft, Quelesnar set them out to explore the wonders of their Maximodius Solar System.

Homeworld: Paberedon. This lush planet is covered by 65% water, 30% land, and 5% Mohogian made structures. The planet goes through four seasons annually and is home to the Mohogian people as well as other animal and plant life.

The Celestilorenarath are a relatively young race being about as old as humans. They developed and evolved much like we did only with some other changes. See while humans can only use about 10% of their brains, this race can use 25% and it makes a big difference. This extra 15% allows them to become incorporeal. Becoming incorporeal takes a lot of energy and inhibits them in some ways. For example they cannot interact with anything solid. If they tried to pick something up it would simply pass through their hand. Being incorporeal can be helpful though. When in this state, Celestilorenarath can't be harmed by kinetic weapons but energy weapons still work. It also allows them to pass through walls or any solid/gas matter. They can't pass through liquid though until they become solid again. Lastly, they can't use any other powers in this form.

The extra brain power also allows them to learn faster than humans. Hence why they have become so advanced over a short time. Being able to share information telepathically also has allowed the whole race to connect and learn from their brightest scientists. This telepathic ability has also been a key to their religion for many claim to have heard the spirits speak in their mind. Over time the race learned minor telekinesis, but it can only be used on small, light objects.

The planet of Celest is small so the race has remained in the millions as far as population goes. Celest has a bit denser air than Earth so storms are more common. The vegetation is mainly yellow and blue colored and tends to be more vine-like. Soil is almost always a tan to peach color and, the water remains blue. The Celestilorenarath's technology is based mostly on energy shields. So much infact that homes and buildings are built using shield-domes. There are solid metal constructions however on the planet and all vehicles are made of metal. The most weapons of this race tend to use particles and rays with some kinetic here and there.

A council of 12 runs the whole empire. Six can be found in their fleet while the other six remain on the homeworld. If change is wanted then the idea must gain support from a least a third of the population before the council takes it into consideration.

As far as religion goes the Celestilorenarath believe in great ancestor spirits that watch over them (much like Native Americans). They are not Zealots however.

History: The Rinckle are probably the most violent species known to the Illuvians. For the millions of years of their existence, the Rinckle have always found themselves trying to get the biggest stick around, and beating the crap out of anyone who opposed them. Even before they earned intelligence, they’ve been stockpiling the ability to fight. At no point has it been recorded that they would-- or even could-- retreat from battle.

The Rinckle’s instinct of fight or fight eventually became a matter of honour, with those that would ever decide to retreat shunned by the rest. As a result, they often went to war for no apparent reason just to prove themselves as powerful warriors. And yet, despite this, this wasn’t the darkest point in Rinckle history. It came only one thousand years later, when they realized fighting was fun. Wars were no longer fought for honour, they became a matter of keeping people from being bored. Technological advancements only enhanced wars, and the idea of having restrictions would only dampen the fun. This meant that wars would be incredibly bloody and wouldn’t end because people [i]liked[/i] this.

At some point, one of the wiser Rinckle said it was wrong for them to fight—and his home city was promptly nuked. However, his words must have remained, for the people of Cicoet united under one banner so that the wars would end. They focused their projects on moving their race away from the bloodlust in their past. They soon set up a space program, and hoped to redeem themselves to whomever decided they were blood-thirsty fighters, and nothing more.
Homeworld: The home planet of Cicoet is rather unique compared to other planets. Sure, the planet’s a giant savannah, with small and sparse forests, but that’s not the really unique part of it. What makes it unique is the fact that most of it is [i]blood,[/i] giving it a unique red colour. It is unlikely that this was caused by lots of deaths just somehow making it red; because of the fact Cicoet doesn’t have enough blood to shed in order to achieve it. Or so the Rinckle want to believe…

Kandosii
The Kandosii are a humanoid species. They stand at around six to seven feet tall. They weigh around 170-200 pounds, they look very muscular and slim. The Kandosii skin color varies from dark green to dark red. Their heads are humanlike, with ears, a nose, a mouth, and eyes. They have two round eyes that are either pitch black or completely white. They have long black hair. The hair is usually above the two spikes that are at the top of the forehead. These spikes are not large but are noticeable. They have jagged teeth that usually show when they talk. Kandosii men always have facial hair, whether it is a moustache or a beard, they always have it. Their arms extend just below the waist. They have four fingers and a thumb. They have claws that are extremely sharp. Their legs are humanlike and so are their feet, minus the claws.

The Kandosii language is very vocal but harsh sounding. It could be compared to Russian if it had to. The Kandosii will eat anything when they are hungry. They are a very violent and easy to anger race, always eager for a fight.

Darasuum
The Darasuum are a more unique race than their Kandosii counterparts. They usually stand at around eight to ten feet tall. They weigh around 200-250 pounds, though they look very slim. Darasuum have either light blue or dark blue skin with black marks across it. Their heads are long and wide. They have two long tentacles that hang down from the back of their head starting at their foreheads. They have more tentacles on their face. Usually six or seven spreading across their jawline. They have two, one on each side of the upper lip. Darasuum have large black eyes, three of them. Instead of having a nose they just have two holes below their eyes. The Darasuum are usually hunched over and have long thin legs. Their feet have three toes and one claw like apendage on the back of their feet. Their arms extend down just above their knees. Their hands have three fingers and a thumb. Their fingers are long and bone-like.

The Darasuum language consists of clicking and humming in different tones and varieties. They communicate very well with the Kandosii. Darasuum usually eat bugs and small animals. They are very, very intelligent and are always messing around with materials to create something new. The Darasuum are generally peaceful but can be pushed to violence.
[b]History:[/b] The Darasuum were the first of the two races. They were the more peaceful race and spent most of their time on medical and peacetime technology. The Darasuum lived on their planet for around 1200 years before the Kandosii appeared. The Kandosii were the opposite of the Darasuum but they never fought. Kandosii
The Kandosii are a humanoid species. They stand at around six to seven feet tall. They weigh around 170-200 pounds, they look very muscular and slim. The Kandosii skin color varies from dark green to dark red. Their heads are humanlike, with ears, a nose, a mouth, and eyes. They have two round eyes that are either pitch black or completely white. They have long black hair. The hair is usually above the two spikes that are at the top of the forehead. These spikes are not large but are noticeable. They have jagged teeth that usually show when they talk. Kandosii men always have facial hair, whether it is a moustache or a beard, they always have it. Their arms extend just below the waist. They have four fingers and a thumb. They have claws that are extremely sharp. Their legs are humanlike and so are their feet, minus the claws.

The Kandosii language is very vocal but harsh sounding. It could be compared to Russian if it had to. The Kandosii will eat anything when they are hungry. They are a very violent and easy to anger race, always eager for a fight.

Darasuum
The Darasuum are a more unique race than their Kandosii counterparts. They usually stand at around eight to ten feet tall. They weigh around 200-250 pounds, though they look very slim. Darasuum have either light blue or dark blue skin with black marks across it. Their heads are long and wide. They have two long tentacles that hang down from the back of their head starting at their foreheads. They have more tentacles on their face. Usually six or seven spreading across their jawline. They have two, one on each side of the upper lip. Darasuum have large black eyes, three of them. Instead of having a nose they just have two holes below their eyes. The Darasuum are usually hunched over and have long thin legs. Their feet have three toes and one claw like apendage on the back of their feet. Their arms extend down just above their knees. Their hands have three fingers and a thumb. Their fingers are long and bone-like.

The Darasuum language consists of clicking and humming in different tones and varieties. They communicate very well with the Kandosii. Darasuum usually eat bugs and small animals. These are the Kor'ah. They are who had the biggest IQ and their brains were placed in special Kor'ah suits. These are the most important in the Kor'ah collective. They lead the adminstration , production almost everything in the nation.

The Kor'ah know different ranks also based on intelligance. (they have free will)

You have the upper the Kor'ah controllers. They are the leaders of cities.

The Kor'ah lords. They lead different sections in cities.

and the simple Kor'ah who lead small nodes , factories.

TThan you have the ones who have not the high intellect of the Kor'ah.

These are the Quz'zera. ( they have free will)

Like the Kor'ah there brains were removed from their bodies and placed in the Qu'zera cybernetic bodiies.

They do all the rest almost. They are engineers , soldiers , miners and all of the other sorts.
They mostly serve the Kor'ah or very smart Quz'zera.

They have not many special tasks excpet the normale .

Qur'khan (no free will)

When they breed new brains using cells of 2 brains there grow bodies with the brains.
They test the brains and send them to go in Kor'ah or Quz'zera.

But the bodies remain. They keep growing the bodies untill maturity. Than they remove the not needed organs or use them to help brains recover.

The bodies are placed in Qur'khan cyborg suits. The bones are filled with liquid metal to make the skeletan stronger.
The Qur'khan are used as engineers and soldiers. They can easly climb hard terrrain to make repairs and they are excellent as soldiers becuase no Brains are wasted.



[b]History:[/b] Around 3000 years ago it was the end of the fith world war. The entire planet was in ruin by nuclear fallout.
The rebuilding began. From massive nuclear shelters hundreds , thousands people went to rebuild the world.

After 800 years the world had almost entirly recovered. There was a golden time and the planet prospered and advanced technology was researched. It seemed that peace had finaly gotten around the planet. But after 600 years the same problems began again. The need for land and resources to keep the population happy.

Than the blessed creator was a scientist trying to find new weapons and technologies to be better than the other nations.

He saw the coming of the sixth world war. He grew in dispair fearing that his people would not survive another world war.

So he began working on a project he called 'salvation'. He tried to convince other scientists to help him.
After 10 years his project was ready. He and other scientists removed their brains and placed them in Kor'ah suits.

He began taking everyone who wanted to join him. You would only become an Kor'ah when your smart enfoug because somone who isn't smart enfough will literaly fry his brain with the Kor'ah processing power.

Sometimes he would force people to become Quz'erza. He would print a small programming in their head to make them think they joined out of free will.

His project was perfect. Crime dropped to 0%. People no longer had trouble with disseases and they lived 80 years longer than the Average man.

But the different goverments around the world saw this as a serious threath. They joined together and began waging war against the creator and his creations.

The Creator was even winning the war. In the battle loss of life was minimal as the Quz'erza always tried to take prisoners and didin't try to kill.

He had 75 % of Ur'ta under controll when the darkest days of all came. The remaning countries launched all nukes , EMP's , missles to every place in the world. All bunkers who were made to prepare to this event failed.

Everyone was dead. No where a signel computer worked. Except very deep under ground. A small Kor'ah and Quz'erza facility remained. They luckly remained active because of an emergancy generator that was able to get activaited.
The Kor'ah and Quz'erza went out to top side to see that almost everything was destroyed. There were barrly standing ruins.

Almost all information was lost. They knew very little of what had happened.
They did what had to be done. They slowly began rebuilding the world. Breeding more brains creating more facilities. Seeking resources and power.

There were only 2 places where they got information from. They could get times of inspecting the remaning facility to see how it old it was and from 1 lone satelite that remained also held important information about their history.

They never could find how their race was called or how the creator was called. And they never saw a reason to leave their planet. It would be ineffective

Untill know with the need of resources would it be handy to explore space for the asterodis around the 2 gas giants.
