Attman's Ray'far Template Contest -- Judging completed - Results are in for the contest winners!

Welcome to my second template contest! I originally made this ray'far template and posted it by request (thanks cskull!) and I noticed that some other users have already made some really cool creatures with it. So, I decided to use it for my second template contest!

In this contest you will use the Ray'far template to make whatever you can come up with. Judging will be based on the 5 categories listed below with the highest points given for [i]originality, artistic creativity[/i] and [i]concept design[/i]. The points will be tallied for each category and whoever has the highest score wins the coveted Golden Medallion! Silver and Bronze Medallions will be awarded to 2nd and 3rd place winners. So feel free to jump in and have some fun!!!

Okay, so I am fiddling with the template, cause I enjoy that sort of thing when one of my experiments tore free of a nutrient solution and went barreling off hooting like some crazed beast! I think the complexity meter filled up on it or something...

Anyway, if you find it, would you be kind enough to add it to your contest if you dun have a way to send it back?

lol, very kind of you to think that wizard, but I wouldn't be so sure.

The tastes of a judge aren't always the same as mine. I personally think yours has a magical woodland feel that is unique and inspiring. Attman may feel much the same. I am also rather impressed with Lordique's Cresting of the Rayfar template. Both of those are critters I would love to see show up in my game, and prolly will in the long run.

In fact, there are a number of the contestants here that I have added creatures from into my collection to examine the methods behind, or simply cause I liked them.

Overall though, I am just having a lot of fun with this template and trying out some new things after a 6 month hiatus from Spore. Pretty sure I'm too out of practice to win this one.

[color=blue] There were over 30 entries on this contest and it took a while to judge them all. I used the point system based on the categories posted on the main post to determine the top 3 best overall contest winners and then listed the top 3 entries for each of the categories based on the highest scoring creations for each individual category.

Highest points were given for creativity, originality, and concept design so the entries that favored these categories scored the highest points. There were some really close ties so I had to take a few passes to get the final scores settled.[/color]
