Creepy & Cute Inventory -- VERY IMAGE HEAVY!

Hi everybody. There are people who aren't sure if they want to buy this product, so in a fit of OCD, I have compiled the following images, which show all that the Creepy & Cute Parts Pack has to offer. I am only doing this to satisfy people's curiosity, not as any endorsement of the product itself.

First of all... here are the mouth parts. There are four of each (carnivore, omnivore, and herbivore). I have included both a front and side view of each.

Next we have an image that includes all of the hands (I set them up as totem poles, and gave a front and back of each hand), the eyes, and all the detail parts.

Now we come to the feet. This image isn't so great -- I was running out of OCD energy. I have included a couple of different views of each.

Next we come to the various paint options. I used the same bright green to illustrate each of the 36 -- I'm just at this moment realizing that the box says we get 48 new paint options... I'm not sure what I missed. I'll come back and edit this at some point.

Anywho... here are the base paint options.

That's about it... I'll get to figuring out where those other 12 paint options are hiding and include those at some other point. I'm burnt on this project, for the moment. [color=red][Came back to edit -- I just realized that the other 12 paint options are the premade ones, so I don't think there's anything new to show. So I'm not going to show them.][/color]

Here is the one other eye that I somehow managed to leave out of the image above -- showcased on a goofy little critter I created for that purpose.

Nice Markiem, that was very cool of you to make this for people who are still on the fence about it. I for one like the new parts, I am mostly just a creator though. I haven't even made it past the first 10 minutes of Civ stage in the game. For anyone who is heavy into creating I think this is a nice thing to have, yes the price for how much you get kinda sucks but I'm a sucker. I like making stuff, so I was willing to get it. I'm not tryin to talk anyone into getting it, I really just wanted to give Markiem some praise for doing all that ^^

Is it the one with the eye lashes? Kinda girlyish looking one, I just closed the game cuz I'm heading to bed so I can't check at the moment.

I think most of the eyes are able to change color, based on detail color (if I'm not mistaken). The red eyes and the blue eyes stay their original color, however.

Anyhow, it's kind of a shame about those two eyes, more colourable eyes would be really great. Don't suppose I could ask what kind of stats the parts have? Just normal like the rest, or what?

In terms of what the stats are on the parts... I don't have the details, but they are pretty much like the stats on the parts we had already. Nothing new.

I mean I am not fan of the idea of the parts pack and refuse to purchase it but I give you props for the effort you took to display the parts in such an effective manner.

There was nothing insulting intended in the " Even I" part of that.

On topic, there are some tempting things in this pack. But I just don't think it's worth the price. Guess I'll have to wait to see if the price goes down.

sadly those are not in game animations.

Some of the parts are cool, the textures are something I'd probably hardly ever notice, the animations are amusing I guess. I still don't feel like buying this. It's not that much relevent stuff and the price is ridiculous even if I would like to see some of my guys do the robot and break dance.

Not to mention this is frankly a season of plenty as far as games go and there are just so many titles I'd rather spend my money on right now.

I'll probably buy the space expansion but this is just a joke in terms of cost vs value.

Really Markiem, great job. It's almost tempting... In fact, if the prize was more reassonable I'd buy. Thing I'm wanting those creepy mouths. So far, best were the free limbs, so it's good to see what the hold thing has to offer.

Amusing as they are, test-drive animations are only for Youtube. They can be considered a waste of good programming time. Programming time mostly spent before release, with all the things they had and are yet to fix...

The textures you are missing, maybe, try to apply the new designs to buildings or vehicles... Bet they count the effect as a new texture too.

Some animations you do get in-game, but just can't select them. Failing to mimc another creature's actions when trying to impress it will provoke the "Angry" or "Sad" animation, they use the "Scared" animation when a spaceship or meteor shower shows up, Epics are constantly using the "Roar" animation" and varied postures and dances are used throughout the stages - "Flip" and "Spin" among citizens of a city or colony that like you, for example, or "Sit" for when creatures go to sleep.

I agree there is too little to call it a parts packet. It's being sold as full, while it's a half. But still, some parts I already had an eye into. And that preview showed me some things even more interesting. Besides, those images can help to select the right parts to build a creature.
I'm saving them to my computer, waiting for my chance to use them as C&C only arrive at stores at 22nd in my city.

I don't know if this would help you or not Jbotski, I had some problems with patch 3 as well. I finally found that if I started the game, it would freeze, but if I tried to start it again, it would boot it up, not sure why it does it, but I was happy to just get it to work.

I also would like to thank you for this post and the animation videos both you and the other poster placed in here.

As for buying or endorsing the purchase of C&C I am against it, as it has not shown me the need to use the parts and I do not make youtube videos (I think I am getting old).

My reasoning is this: I puchased the creature creator for my mother and she enjoyed it emensly. I bought for myself the Galactic version thinking it would have value for the additional $30 or so price (when it came out). Found out that my mother would not be able to play (even on the same computer) a seperate screenname and make her own achievements, so I bought her the Spore version, and she made her own account on her computer. Now as they want $20 for a parts pack that has less than half of what the Creature creator gave mother and I would need to get 2 so both her and I could use the parts...

In other words I do not think I need to spend the money on C&C as EA has yet to impress me enough to give them the remainder of $200.00+. I did not spend that much in the first 6 months of sims or sims 2 and do not intend to on this game either.

I am basing my following assumptions on Sims.

Sims 2 had 8 expansions and 8 stuff packs, plus 3 spin off games. LOL.

Value packs- yes, deluxe and mixed packs were made available after a point in time.

Not saying Spore will have this, just comparing to similar game developer/publisher experience.

I don't know if this would help you or not Jbotski, I had some problems with patch 3 as well. I finally found that if I started the game, it would freeze, but if I tried to start it again, it would boot it up, not sure why it does it, but I was happy to just get it to work.[/quote]

ive tried that, not rly the intention, but i just get the error message, mine gets past the quick black screen then just stops loading, + it has a memory leak, mem just goes up and up on it when i check task manager. EDIT:it doesnt even get to the black screen now! next time ill wait to see if they patch the patch, then ill get the patch and the patch patch

I do not have the C & C pack but would consider since the 24 limbs they gave out are showing as you find them in creature stage it would be the same for the parts from it.

(Probably stupid) Question: Went to buy the C+C parts pack from EA as a direct download and noticed something as I was about to buy it. The option to spend some more money in order to extend the amount of time I have it downloaded. Does this mean it will only be active for the standard 6 months before I need to buy it again, or is that just a standard part to the EA checkout screen?

they work just like normal parts. If you were a carnivore in cell, you have instant access to the first carnivore mouth in the pack, for omnivore the second row, etc. You unlock all the parts in the same way you did before the parts pack, it just makes it longer to collect all the parts.

Although there's something I would love to see if anyone actually has time to do this. What does each mouth look like stretched all the way out, and then squished all the way in? As most people have probably noticed with all the mouths, they all morph and change shape as you stretch or squish them, and some of them really change their appearance when you do. I know it probably took a long time to get screenshots of all the parts and put them on the site, but it would be nice to see for the people who are considering getting the pack.

Oh no you don't! Don't try to reactivate my OCD, you bad little DiabloDog!

I'm not the guy to put that up -- however, I would add that on a couple of the mouths (I believe just the two herbivores with the two teeth showing) you can adjust the length of the teeth. Or make them disappear altoghether.

I wish this was an option with EVERY mouth.

I knew I was going to get it before I found this thread, but now it looks even funnier! One thing though..why no new sounds? The pig-sounds are old, as are the roars and grunts of the predator head used in the first clip of the new animations.. . I thought there would be new sounds, the old ones are getting..old.

but I wish they had added a lot more paint options, especially coat patterns. most of the C&C ones are useless to me.

Maybe you got the patch not the expansion? The pages listing might not be clear, but if you see the limbs, the rest is the same.
I can't share either, but I know why, no complaints, here... lower the price, only, so I can buy it. Quarter the pieces, should be quarter the price of the CC, the development of this pack cannot be compared in prize to a full game, like they are almost charging... greedy.

This is bit off-topic, can you try posting on "help"? As you do... The C&C creatures you see sorted, do they have a lock icon on-top, can you load them on the editor itself? You should try reinstalling... after uninstalling, of course. Search for how-to's if you need to back-up saves and such...

OK so I hate myself... I went and did it... I had to buy a new video card for my mothers machine and the dadgum store put the games next to the cards... of course the c&c had to be the ones right across the isle from the card I needed... had mom with me so she saw it and boom 2 parts packs in her hands... I have always had weather so it may be the new video card. I think though if you lower the graphics settings it may limit the animations and cut out things like weather. YEA... an excuse to get a new computer... my video card is an agp and I can't seem to find any better than the geforce fx5200 gt 256 meg card that I have. I have been looking for an excuse to upgrade but have not been able to, but that would also meen I have to upgrade to vista... dang it... now I got to look at my other programs to see if they will work in vista... I have to have my graphics set to low on everything in spore (the first game I have had to do that on) and I figured that was the reason... this is not going to be my day... guess it's back to the crappy graphics since mom won't trade computers either...

I know people have complained about the costs and what not.. since this was announced... but D.A.M.N! I just spent the $80 for the Galactic Edition two friggin' months ago!

Currently, the best AGP on the market is the ATI Radeon 3850HD, made by both Sapphire and HIS. Though you're still going to need a pretty powerful computer to notice the benefits of having the last of the AGP beast. If your CPU is at or below a single core 3.0Ghz, don't expect to get much out of the card. It's also the only AGP card that can run DirectX 10, so if you'll be upgrading to Vista, that'll be another bonus.

The card itself can run quite a lot of new games on high settings (not highest), and Spore runs great with everything maxed.

Not sure why you say you HAVE to upgrade to vista if you update your computer though. Vista still isn't a requirement on anything but DX10. If you don't need or want to, then don't
