Good for him! Now let's see if his ideas work.
If yes, then the issue becomes "Do we have a big enough budget to pursue this?"

I'm still waiting for them to confirm just WHAT it is, but I can see the complaints.

Not bad. Sounds slightly repetitive, but it's not too obvious.

For example, they held a final pro tournament to celebrate a successful 10+ years on the original Starcraft, a game they made in 1998. They then announced that it was finally over for Starcraft but it was basically only the start for Starcraft 2 and Starcraft 2 - Heart of the Swarm.
Blizzard, do us a favor and buy EA!
You DO realize that Blizzard itself is only a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, which itself is owned by Vivendi? Yes, they are technically autonomous from Activision, but I really doubt they have the right to purchase other companies.

I'm not sure. I think I might have joined right as the golden age ended, but I know that I more-or-less missed it.

The thing about biochemical processes is that they need controlled amounts of energy. This is why ATP is used instead of glucose to fuel reactions. A torrent of boiling heat would be a bad idea for starting life.
Look up Thermophiles. They are specifically evolved to survive in such temperatures. From there, they form the basis of entire ecosystems that feast upon them.
Besides, you don't need to throw an egg into a fire in order to cook it. It's the same with life. It doesn't need to start at the epicentre of the Hydrothermal vents. It just needs to be close enough that the compounds are stimulated by the temperature increase.

BBeast wrote:Then there is another hurdle. Energy. Virtually every compound used to build and operate a cell requires energy to create. You could shoot lightning into the primordial soup, but that would just as readily prompt the complex compounds to fall apart, and would also kill any living thing you might have developed. Cells also use energy in the form of ATP. It is not a simple compound. Not something you would think would come by random chance.
Energy isn't as big an issue as you'd think. We have plenty of sources for it in the primordial Earth, namely hydrothermal vents. They're pretty neat, and do actually contain life to this day.

Mostly just waiting for HotS to come out.

I think that would look much better as an outfitter part than a creature part, to be honest.

So, in another topic altogether, 9 days until Heart of the Swarm comes out! From the games I've seen in the Beta, it will DEFINITELY breathe some new life into the community.

They should've introduced a ghost type evolution that occurs if you allow eevee to repeatedly faint in battle.
I think that would work better on Raticate, as that would have some mythology gag associated to it when it occurs.

The funny part is that you can actually use some insane troll logic to prove Sylveon will be Steel type.
Think about it. The name is SYLVeon. "Sylv" as in "silver." If it has Silver in the name, then CLEARLY it must be a metal type. However, there is no metal OR silver type. However, there IS steel type. Therefore, the Silver in Sylveon's name PROVES it will be Steel type.

It's most likely going to be Normal. There's no way it could be otherwise, unless they're playing mind screw with us right now.
