i've unlocked one of the secret items myself...
the Staff of Life makes a planet u drop it on T-Score 3 and puts plants and creatures on it for you automatically
get it by reaching the center of the galaxy and it gives 42 charges.
Note: do NOT use on Grox controlled planets!!!!!!! they die in planets above T-Score 0 so... unless u want to be at war with a race that controlls 2000 systems and about 3000 planets, DON'T USE THE STAFF OF LIFE ON GROX PLANETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also at the center of the galaxy, Steve invites you to a free breakfast at the third rock from Sol (Earth) and there is a secret achievement called "Oh the Humanity" for blowing Earth up with a planet buster (which is fun)

I LOVE WATCHING PLANETS BURST INTO FLAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've gotten the ability to change archetype once... here are some things i did:
1. get level 5 relationship on the star with them. this is the max.
2. talk to them and select "Mission" at their homeworld.
3. the mission will say "Teach me your ways." select that mission
4. you'll need a lot of money, i can't remember how much but i didn't accept the mission because it was too much for me.
5. take the mission and give them the money. i've never gotten one of these missions before entirely but im positive the archetype change mission will be different for different empire archetypes.

also, to tell one's archetype, select from the chat, "Diplomacy" then the top selection and they'll say their philosophy. i know a few philosophies:
Bards: Chance
Zealots: Faith
Knights and Warriors: Force
Traders: Prosperity
Scientist: Science
Diplomat: Order
Ecologist: Life
Shaman: Harmony
Wanderer: Order

i hear that Maxis is working on a working flora editor game that you can buy and add on to spore. It's sort of like the creepy and cute parts pack, except for this is already available but buggy. I've been in the flora edit and it's WAY better to just wait for the flora editor game. After about a minute of the bugged flora editor up, the Spore game WILL crash ( it may be longer, I'm not sure ). I know that this is a Grox thing but people were talking about the flora editor and how its bugged, and I just wanted to clarify, so DON'T leave any nasty comments

I love the idea and they should work on it, as well as other creature parts and outfitter parts

The best game ever (spore) would be at LEAST 1000000000 times better with the patch than without. I WOULD GET IT RIGHT AWAY IF IT CAME OUT

now i have found the homeworld, but only with one game that had cheated, so i deleated it. heres what i know: it is near the core, it has more than three colonies on it, and it has about five colonies linked to it. i can only find it tho when it calls me asking for money.

its annoying when they call for money, especially when you dont havez the stavv of lifee. do u lose the ability to move far when u r around the core if u have made it there but run out of staffs of life

Why would they have the cerberous achievement as evolving a creture with three heads then if it would be impossible to complete? The way to acctually get it is to get and omnivorous creature with and omnivoris mouth, hebivorous mouth, and carnivorous mouth on it. The only way to get that ahievement is to hack spore, which could get you kicked off, so that it is possible to get all three mouth types. Quoting the spore guide book, it says: "Trotting southwest, Flumpy enters a grassy plain, and stumbles into an octilon nest. He makes short work of the alpha Octilon... ... before barfing up its remains into the nest! Flumpy forgot he's changed his diet to fruit-only, so he heads to the forest for a feast" He was a carnivore before that. with the Flumpy creature that they had made to test the game, Maxis allowed him to change diet from carnivor to herbivore, so I'm wondering why did they cut that after making it so that the only way to get the cerberous achievement was to evolve a creature with three different mouth types? And why did they not change the achievement requirements so that, oh I don't know, it was possible to get the cerberous achievement? Cerberous is one of the only achievements that I don't have after my year with spore. I'm just confused on why they made it so that you couldn't get all three mouth types and so that you couldn't get the cerberous achievement without all three mouth types.

I love the idea of a sporre expansion allowing you to choose water or land for creature stage. I think that overKast has got the right idea, but I also think you should be able to go on land if you choose to have lungs underwater, there should be some bottomfeeder mouths, and the stages should follow the path of evolution, making the stages have these in this order: cell, fish, amphibian, reptile, mammal.
