oneblackbird wrote:I just finished allying with the Grox as part 1 of my plan to wipe them out, which ends in part 2, destroying them from within. I took one of their ships out for a test drive in a raid on one of my systems and I didn't even do anything. All I had to do was get near the enemy ships and the Grox ship went crazy and killed them all pretty much instantly. It's like the Grox ship is permanently using the rally ability and it's just ONE ship. It's about 10 times better than having a fleet full of 5 star ally ships.
Having a Grox ship, coupled with the infrequency of attacks/disasters/etc. on my planets near the core and the fact that Grox don't have disasters/raids/etc. is making me seriously reconsider killing them now. Besides, being evil makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.
You'r not supposed to be able to ally with the Grox.

I know there are a great many bugs/problems in Spore, and I have experienced several, including the Homeworld glitch, crashing sporadically, and others.
This notwithstanding, I'd just like to remind you all that EA and Maxis want to make the game better. The bugs are CERTAINLY not intentional, and railing at the heavens spewing insults while demanding your solutions from the very same people you're condemning is staggeringly counterproductive.
If your car breaks down, and you have the cellphone number of your mechanic, do you dial him up and start raging at him for not forseeing every possible thing that could go wrong, or do you calmly tell him what went wrong and all the circumstances so that he might actually be able to help solve your problem?
I haven't the authority to reprimand you, so I'll stop there, but I just think a little civility is needed here.
i dont yell at my mecanic,
but i will yell at my car dealer when he ships me a Pinto in place of a Ferrari.
I dont think any one thinks that the bugs are intentional the problem is that they charged upwords of $60.00 for this CRAP. this CRAP that dosent work.
they sold a computer game that dosent work.
EA/Maxis doesn't choose the price stores sell spore at, nor do they want spore to be "CRAP" because then they would have bad buisness.

And another thing, everyone is acting like every EA/Maxis game's fixes are in the expantion packs, which is not true, just look at The Sims 2. And one last thing: for those of you who think they were lying about some of the features, they weren't. They had to take it out of the original game due to some perfectly reasonable explanation.
If people are upset, thats their decision, why are you judging based on that. The GAME is missing a lot of things that they could have put in. Its a good game, but its potential is not yet MERELY met!
I'm not judging people i'm speaking my mind.

First of all, assuming that you understood for at least a month but probably more like three years that this was an interactive game, how could it NOT be "based" on intelligent design in a sense?
Second, how the slurk is it based on intelligent design and NOT on evolution?
Third, since intelligent design is a belief and evolution a scientific theory, it's not really up to you as to whether they're incompatible in game design, life, or breakfast cereal.
Another sensable person :)

EA are a bunch of bottom feeding greedy {expletive}. What we were sold is not what we were promised.
Who says EA being greedy is the truth. And the never promissed that all the features it had when it was first announced would be kept.

Finally some one who doesn't think the game is bad.
