Nel'Varra galaxy.
Year 522 since the Unition.
Nel’Varra once was a world full of multifarious space civilizations for millions of years. Slowly, they tried to evolve all in their own way, some of them succeeded, some did not. Ages passed, but none of them ever managed to break out of “dawn-rise-fall” cycle.
But soon, the balance was ruined.
It all started when Infesta, a totalitarian space state, captured and enslaved the Unocrune civilization from planet Armaggoria, which had just got rid of it’s barbaric past. Peaceful species could do nothing to prevent the aggressors from taking total control of their kind. Though, Infestians didn’t even watch their slaves’ behavior, which later resulted in fierce rebellion, destruction of Infestian civilization and birth of a new cosmic state – the Armaggorian Military Republic.
There are three simple reasons for the seemingly unlimited military power of the AMR. The first is a super-strong alloy called Forteethealium with a nearly unreachable melting point which can be only found on their homeworld. The second is their uncontrollably high breeding rate which causes rapid overpopulation but gives plenty of working hands for military and industrial needs. The third is their natural inbred favor towards loyalty and dedication to their own kind, which makes possible the existence of their utopian regime without marketing, money or exploitation and provides military forces with perfect organization. These combined aspects make the AMR a highly advanced galactic superpower, regardless of primitiveness of their technologies, equipment, architecture and external policy.
Years went by, more and more planets reached critical mass, more colonies were obtained, the pattern went unbroken. No hostile civilizations remained, no competition or threat to break the monotony of expansion. But lately something is amiss - military and scientific equipment are increasingly unaccounted for, and sometimes even AMR soldiers themselves disappear into thin air. Single ships disappear in outer space and never get found, strange signals are caught but never deciphered. There are occasional glimpses of shady, unknown beings on whom some lay responsibility, but for the most part nobody had any ideas about what is happening.
Der’Lago an AMR fighter pilot, used to be like the other of his kind except for some minor personality quirks, but one day his destiny dramatically changed.
Welcome to the LoA series discussion thread.
Legacy of Ancients is a long story-oriented project which I am currently working on. It is divided in episodes, which consist of several parts. Reading the introduction text is strongly recommended not to miss anything important, for extra details you might also have a look at my Spore.com profile - all my creations which are somehow connected with AMR are put in separate sporecast.
Please, take in consideration:
-Read all the text you see in the adventures, including adventure descriptions, intro and outro text, act descriptions and ofcourse, dialogues. Also many props have multiple lines of text.
-I really need your constructive criticism. Even if you don't know what exactly to say, just tell me what you feel about some exact things.
-Captain is fixed. Always. I made this because it makes development of main character's personality possible.
-As English is not my native language, it takes time to translate large amounts of text and causes other problems.
-I also need help and feedback to make this thread more readable.
-Have a nice day!
ADVENTURES:

CloudyVision wrote:Well, here it is, my sample review. I kind of stole the adventure from cbfstudios, but this is the one that I felt the most comfortable about reviewing. I'm sure that, since I'm a bit of a rookie with this, there will be some imperfections in my review, but I gave it my best.
LoA Ep1 p1- Hostile Welcome
CloudyVision Review #1
Type: Story
Creator: Gluma2
Captain: Locked
Sporepedia Link To Adventure: Link
Summary:
In this adventure, you crash on an unknown planet and are captured and imprisoned by an unknown species. You find a way to escape from your prison through a series of challenging puzzles, but it isn't over yet.
Story:
Once you have crashed, a few soldiers approach you and tell you to come with them. You are sent into the city, where you go to the jail under the command of Wallasion, one of the soldiers. However, a note leads you to an escape route, where you have to find a series of tools to get out. The note tells you to look for a building with an antenna once you get out. However, it is a trap and you are recaptured. The story mostly made sense, and most of the missing parts to it will probably come clear in the next few episodes of the series.
Spelling/Grammar:
No mistakes besides a typo, facew instead of face.
Creations:
The creations were excellent overall. The vehicles were all perfectly constructed. I really liked the Humvee/truck thingies, for they looked excellent and had a nice militaristic feel. However, it was obvious that your spaceship, as a creation, wasn't designed to be crashed. The buildings generally had excellent textures and details, though some of the ones in the city were a bit on the bland side. However, I could tell that a lot of work was put into all the individual building props. The creatures were good overall, though a few aspects of the outfitting looked weird on the soldiers, though it was quite good on the captain. The cave worm was a highlight of the creatures.
Environment:
The environment was well-constructed as well. Though there were a few glitches in the floors inside the underground tunnels, that area was well done, filled with interesting details. The city was well done as well, though it had a couple of flaws. First off, there was a big ugly blue gate in the middle that didn't make much sense. Also, the outer wall seemed a bit sloppy. However, other environmental details there made up for that. Manned turrets, vehicles, and a few interesting buildings, such as the water tanks, all added to the feel. One place that could use a little improvement was the crash site and surrounding area. As I mentioned in the creations, the ship just didn't look wrecked. The surrounding arctic wastes seemed to lack detail, and could've used some smaller rocks scattered around. Another spot that could need touching up is the music. There wasn't any, really, besides in the sort of easter egg-ish place, and that could be heard where it shouldn't have been. Sound effects, though, were used well.
Captain Competence:
The locked captain has all the needed abilities. Not to say that there are really needed abilities. The jump comes in handy, but there's no fighting to do.
Gameplay:
Gameplay was straightforward until you come to the escape through the tunnels. When you get to that point, you have to find certain tools to unlock doors that will lead to other tools until you eventually open the necessary door. This part was tricky, but text on certain things hinted at where tools could be found and used, as well as what tools could be used to open or smash certain things.
Final Note:
Overall, this adventure was quite well made, and the small flaws were well outdone by the excellent creation quality, the effectively put together environment, the engaging plot, and the interesting puzzle.
OVERALL:
DIFFICULTY:
The puzzle was on the challenging side, but if one looks hard enough, he can figure it out, so I put the difficulty around the middle.

Part two: The Governor[/url]
Features:
-A short dialogue-only adventure. Something similar to engine cutscenes in computer games.
-Two complex easter egg scenes, plus some smaller things to look for.
-Look for notes! They contain plot information.
-Don't forget to zoom in, as this is an interior adventure.

LoA Ep1p2-"The Governor"
CloudyVision Review #5
Type: Puzzle, oddly.
Creator: Gluma2
Captain: Locked
Summary:
In this continuation of the Legacy of the Ancients series, you are woken up after being captured and brought to The Governor. He tells you what your job will be, and then the adventure ends.
Story:
You are forced to go see the Governor by a few soldiers after being woken up. When you met the governor, he asks for some strange bottle. Then you learn that you had better accept his job offer or you will be tortured and killed. So you decide to submit to him, and you learn that your job will be to explore some ancient ruins and see if you can find anything there. The story made sense, though not much really happened. However, the bottle part seemed random and unrelated, though it might make sense in future episodes.
Spelling/Grammar:
Grammar was fine, but there were a few spelling errors, mostly typos or other small errors, such as wareouse instead of warehouse and survant instead of servant. These were noticeable, but typos are understandable. I suggest carefully reading your texts to detect them.
Also, it did seem that one thing you had to examine was in Russian. That was quite confusing.
Creations:
Creations were excellent, as I expected. The outfitting was nice and realistic, and the building interior props were detailed and clean. All the textures were incredibly well chosen. Not much else to say here.
Environment:
The environment was completely inside a building, and that was generally well constructed. However, in the Governor's office, the walls didn't seem to reach all the way to the ceiling and you could see outside. Other than that, everything was well done and detailed, without any flaws.
Captain Competence:
The locked captain has all the needed abilities... not to say that there are any needed abilities. All you really do is talk and hold things.
Gameplay:
Gameplay was smooth most of the time, since it was mostly just talking to people. However, I did find that the key to the Governor's office was mostly inside the receptionist's desk, with only a little corner sticking out. there did seem to be an upside-down jump pad there, though, so that may have just been my game doing the odd things that it does.
Final Note:
Overall, this adventure was good, but not enough really happened, and there were a few flaws, so I couldn't give it a green. I do understand that the lack of action is inevitable at this point in the story, and I'm sure it will get better later.
OVERALL:
DIFFICULTY:
Nothing challenging at all, as I said before, just talking and holding things.

Nel'Varra galaxy.

It all started when Infesta, a totalitarian space state, captured and enslaved the Unocrune civilization from planet Armaggoria, which had just god rid of it’s barbaric past full of violence and hatred and aimed towards it’s cosmic future without war. Peaceful species could do nothing to prevent the aggressors from taking total control of their kind as they didn’t rely on weapons anymore. Though, Infestians underestimated military potential of their slaves – they didn’t even watch their behavior. Yesterday peacemakers were disappointed in their idea of future with no violence and cruelty of their enslavers showed them that the only essential factor is nothing but brutal force. They started building up a new state under the Infestians’ nose, designing new military equipment inspired by Infestian weaponary, training new soldiers and building ships to deliver troops from Armaggoria to Infesta. This all ended up with total wipeout of once powerful Infestian civilization and rise of a new superpower, the Armaggorian Military Republic.
The AMR has never been defeated in any wars since the beginning of it’s existence, nothing could stop it’s soldiers’ rage and courage. Many races attacked AMR in temptation to take over Armaggorians’ homeworld’s rich natural resourse base, but all of them got wiped out of their own lands which were later colonized by Unocrunes.
There are three simple reasons for the seemingly unlimited military power of the AMR. The first is a super-strong alloy called Forteethealium with a nearly unreachable melting point which can be only found on their homeworld. The second is their extremely high breeding rate which causes rapid overpopulation but gives plenty of working hands for military and industrial needs.
The only thing keeping the military busy was the long-aged problem of Unocrunes born without their loyalty instinct which is a form of incurable genetic disease.
Diego Gonsales, an AMR fighter pilot, used to be like the other of his kind except for some minor personality quirks, but one day his destiny dramatically changed. That is where our story begins, a story of adventure and mystery, a story of temples and artifacts, a story of conspiracy and intrigue.

The Armaggorian Military Republic is the most powerful and influential space-faring civilization in known space. So far all species who dared declare war against the AMR for whatever reason were burnt out of their own lands, which were later colonized by the Unocrunes, aggressive species from Armaggoria.
There are three simple reasons for the seemingly unlimited power of the AMR. The first is a super-strong alloy with a nearly unreachable melting point which can be only found on their homeworld. The second is their extremely high breeding rate which causes rapid overpopulation and fierce competition, ensuring ample ferocity for when new colonies must be claimed. The third is their natural inbred favor towards loyalty and dedication to their own kind. These combined aspects make the AMR nearly unstoppable.

There you go. I had to remove some stuff I couldn't understand, but if any of it is important you can put it back.
