The community is not exactly dead, but getting kind of close. Creations are still made every day, but most of them aren't that good. The MPN may as well not exist at all. These forums are also somewhat alive, but many of us have moved on and some of us veterans still talk and play games every day.

As for the development side... It's absoutely dead. Maxis doesn't care at all and just churns out useless Sims 3 DLC. Last time I checked, there are 20-something DLC packs for that game and 3 for Spore. They're also doing a lot of SimCity stuff but that actually makes sense because it's a more recent title.

I have Planetside 2 installed on my PC, but the optimization basically makes it unplayable. I lag on medium settings even though I far surpass the specifications for Ultra settings...
Also, New Conglomerate is where it's at.

Personally, I open CS5 on occasion if not just to clean off a bit of rust. I spend most of my time either running track, doing schoolwork, and Guild Wars 2 with sjhorm, Red_Indigo, and a couple other Sporumers.

I'm glad to see you're all doing well. Perhaps we could set up something just to chat for a bit, like old times. Skype/Steam may work for this kind of thing.

We have all the ICs and the like there.

I always felt like it would have been a good idea to incorporate the Grox, Staff of Life, Steve, etc. into a Spore movie - With humans, of course. I know the majority of people would not want to see a movie exclusively about aliens, as they can't really relate or something. It could have been along the lines of the Grox invading Earth and using the captains, Staff, and more. Quite honestly it might have worked, but I'm not entirely sure.

It would also be useful for us that don't use Spore too much anymore/generally helpful to put it into a IC entry.

Very creative race you got there, Heartless (I can also see you're a Kingdom Hearts fan... Another thumbs up for that). I like the idea of an underwater race like that, as well as the resource weakness. And if you go to war with Scry's race, that would mean potential help from Whoster's Jorro'kil and my Ryun-Wreae Federation.
Kshaw, you may want to move your stuff from that wiki, I think it's old and outdated.

Grox, you may want to prepare to add the Ryun-Wreae Federation to the list of Confederacy empires, as there's a high probability of them joining soon due to their actions in the current battle.

Nice form, Obsidian. I like the concept, it seems really interesting. However, the biology section still needs to be filled out. I'm also left wondering - Do they have any weaknesses?

By the way, are there any possible lore/story-friendly explanations for the RWF's recent absence?
