The more the merrier. I've just re-setup Illidia on RPP and a brand-new RP to go along with it, so maybe that'll keep us occupied for a few months, eh? :)
Holy frak, Eochaid. Thought you'd gone the way of the bell-bottoms. No, that's not showing my age. That's showing my disinclination to make references to anything remotely comprehensible. Blame New Year's alcohol. I won't, but it's "Do as I say, not do as I do."
Just popped back to the forums about a week ago after a long hiatus, but I've yet to get back to the actual game of Spore. Not because I don't like the game, but because my computer simply can't handle it and consequently, neither can my temper. So as soon as I get me a new, dedicated gaming PC, I'll be back on Spore - and probably on the dole due to forgetting to go to work...
Pessimism has kept the world running better than optimism - we know how to deal with it when s*** gets real. Same deal with pragmatists and idealists. But that's neither here nor there.

Depending on my schedule in the next couple of days, I'll throw together a sheet and apply. Gods know I could do with some laughs.
I love those stories. So wonderfully impossible to corroborate, duplicate, replicate or otherwise verify. Unfortunately, science tends to require the physical manifestation of all of these things before something can be proven. Except for mathematics, since that involves higher-order thinking and abstract logic, dealing as it does with ephemeral mental constructs that are proven true through second-order effects rather than first-order. A bit like the initial extrapolation of the existence of a sound barrier by examining the early injuries suffered attempting to exceed the speed of sound - but with numbers as opposed to forces of physics.

That's fine, I'll make that claim for you. *clears throat* Everyone, SilentEpiphany is James Joyce! Now please!! Don't rush in and crowd the man, remember to be polite and autographs will be provided along with a free souvenir gift voucher.

What? I only said that I'd make the claim for you, not that I would make the claim on my own behalf!
Thought as much.
It happens to every law-interested civilisation that isn't conquered or wiped out. You should've seen what it was like in Athens before the Romans took over. At its most extreme, it was literally possible for any citizen to begin prosecution of someone on the behalf of another person, even if said other person was opposed to the idea.
You've got a lot of free reign about now. Very few of the old elitist roleplayers are still around from what I can tell and it looks like things are pretty calm all over. So, really, just take a look around and have some fun. If you step on any toes, someone'll tell you and it'll all work out well enough in the end.
So, with the exceptions of Stinky and Silent, is anyone else from the early days still around?
Happens everywhere in the end.

Wait a minute...
The drakes didn't survive entirely in their original form. It's a bit like saying humans are still around today after the last Homo Habilis - technically true, but there have been significant changes. Some physical, mostly mental.

How the hell did you remember that? :!:
And the coin says heads. So Calian drake Jesus it is. Hooray. [/total deadpan]

That's because they don't have to deal with the stresses of an average citizen that are congress's fault anyway.
And they have a lot of money, so they don't have to deal with high prices and stuff like that.

I think what I have said pretty much sums it up.

> Implying being commander of the army and wrestling with the other third of government AND being the face of the nation is far less stressful than driving through rush-hour to go to work and fill your time there with cat videos.

Two Words: Delegate Responsibility. That's what Congress, the Senate, the Joint Chiefs and your secretaries are for.
