I'm creating some mods for myself in Sporemaster. I put one to test in Spore/Data, but it has no effect. I have Core Spore 1.5, but no packs and no GA. Any help?

Talked on EA support chat, gave email and birthdate, got key. All good!

I have a mac, I play Spore. I'm going off to college, and need to move to a new computer. I'd like to still be able to play Spore, but I can't find my manual with my key. I still have the disc. I won't be playing on both computers at once. Any help?
I know there's a way to extract the key from a Windows computer, but I have a mac. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a problem.

The SoL is a powerful tool, and IC could be analysed; new tools could be made based on study of the SoL. So I propose a badge (hidden until one obtains the SoL) that is earned by uses of the SoL. Tools that could be unlocked by a combination of this badge and another:
With Eco Hero:
Universal Cure (ammo): Cures bio plague instantly.
BioPlague (ammo): Causes a plague.
With Terra-Wrangler:
(Mini/plain/Mega) Smart Terraforming Ray (energy): Moves planet T-state directly towards center.
(Mini/plain/Mega) Terraforming Device (ammo): Increases the planet's T-score by 1/2/3.
With Ecologist:
Life Creator (ammo): Fills one empty T-level with creatures (random).
With Planet Artiste:
Planet Resculptor: Randomizes planetary landscape.
Planet Cubizer: Turns the planet into a cubic planet. (Other shapes too, like an octahedron, would be cool.)

One plus for SimEarth being incorporated as opposed to, say, Civilization is that Maxis actually made SimEarth.

I had an idea about a minigame addition to Spore. In Space stage you can buy a "time-acceleration field" that when used on a planet begins the minigame. In the minigame it is much like SimEarth, but with the detail higher or lower as Maxis desires/thinks is appropriate for Spore. It allows development of a planet to one's desire like terraforming and monoliths, with the advantage of randomly seeded creatures used instead of beamed samples and added detail for those who like it like me.
Detailed description: If used on a T0 planet, it is equivalent to the "geologic" timescale of SimEarth; life does not exist/is just beginning. You have an energy budget that recovers over time that you can use to make the planet more conducive to life (or less, if you so choose) much like Spore terraforming (but perhaps more detail, like adding specific gases like CO2). Once one reaches the "Cambrian" stage as in SimEarth, the planet would become a T1 planet, with 1st level (~10 health creatures as in Creature Stage) and 2nd level (~15 health creatures) creatures naturally evolving. As life evolves (as aided or inhibited by you) the planet may become T2 (~25 health creatures evolve) or T3 (~45 health creatures). One may leave at any time, returning to normal time, with the planet becoming a regular planet as experienced in Space Stage, as developed to the point when one leaves. If one continues, a T3 planet can develop sentient life (corresponding to Stone / Bronze / Iron age in SimEarth and Tribal in Spore). If continued to be well managed, the sentient species may develop civilization (Industrial / Atomic / Info ages = Civ Stage) and possibly advanced technology (Nanotech = Space).
Once again, the level of detail used can vary to the developer's choice, to best fit with Maxis's ideas for Spore and addons.

Is there any way to get traits for your creatures added back? I want to use the same tribe creature in multiple civ stages so i can have different space civilizations of the same creature, and keep the traits of tribe/creature/cell.

Will it preserve my creations' stage bonuses?

I'm having exceptions raised when I meet a new civilization in space stage. However, it doesn't happen every time. One of my saves has it happen every time when it meets any new civilization (its first, on the mission). Another has it happen occasionally; it meets its first two fine, then it opens up the "Hi nice to see you flying by" communication for a third and the exception is raised. I haven't tested all my saves yet, but some have no problem; but they all have already met a civilization.
The exception raise for the first one reads, "Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x00000004 at address 0x00e996f0. Do you wish to debug it?" The second reads, "Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000013c at address 0x00fef7f2. Do you wish to debug it?"
I believe these problems arise from issues I have been having with my pollination packages. Here's the story: I moved out my graphics caches to speed up the program, but I accidentally move pollination.001.package out as well (but not pollination.package). I open the program and I'm down to 2000 total creations, from 28700; in addition, "my creations" is down to 300 from 750. I seek help. I let it run and redownload creations from my subscriptions, then I replace the new pollination.001 with the old one. "My creations" goes up to 390, but some of the creatures are missing their stage bonuses. I repeat, and the number of my creations goes down again. Then I move both pollination packages out, let it redownload, and put them both back in, while renaming one of the pollination.package s to pollination.002.package. Same result. I try playing with my saved games, and now the above happens.
My theory is that the exception raising is arising from creations that were in the pollination files before regeneration that are now unfilled in the regenerated files. I don't care if I lose my downloaded creations from other people; I do want back my creations with their stage bonuses intact.

I noticed that in the history section there's a time in the top saying how much time in billions, millions, and thousands of years has passed in the evolution of your species. Has anyone taken so long in creature stage that this exceeds 6 billion years or more? If one does, than wouldn't your home star be getting along in years?

I was thinking about Jupiter and the Sun, so yes, barely. The barycenter is about 7% of a Sun radius above the Sun's surface. Also, mostly circular.

Hmmm. I may be convinced that it is indeed impossible, but not for your reasons.
Let's defuse this situation and talk about trojans. How big can a tertiary be in the L4/5 point of a secondary around a primary?

Hmm. Your arguments have put me into "undecided". I will have to learn more in order to make a decision.
Until then, good day.

Hm. Have you read the Wikipedia article on the Hill sphere? It seemed pretty clear to me.

My question is, would our creatures seem mythical to aliens? If they evolved on a heavy g planet, they may be amazed that these light flimsy birds can actually FLY!
