Your spore.com email is the same as your EA.com email. You can go to EA.com and login, at the bottom, and then change your e-mail address on your profile.

Have you tried uninstalling Spore GA and then reinstalling it?

EA/Maxis has stated that Spore does work on Windows 7 32 bit.

This is a known bug that doesn't have a resolution at this time. You can try starting a new space game instead, and if you evolved into Space you can pick the creation with the symbols in the lower left hand corner that mark your evolutionary path so that you keep your abilities.

Try downloading the patch manually from here:
Download Patch 1.05 from Softpedia

Then right click the file and select Run as Administrator

MinionJoe, please provide links to relevant articles or posts if you are going to reply to such a post.
First try looking in your registry as here, this will work even if you've uninstalled the game:
How to Retrieve Your Game's Registration Key / Serial Number in Windows

Let's keep Spore forum about Spore. Feel free to discuss other games in their respective forums.

If you didn't find all the folders it asked for in Vista during the manual uninstall did you turn on viewing hidden files and folders?

Your dxdiag looks okay to me, drivers are nice and up to date, etc.

It sounds like you may not have backed up the actual App data or Application Data folder, depending on your O/S. Without the package files in that folder Spore won't have an index of your creations to work from.
If those file aren't available then your saved games won't ever work right.
See this link for details on backing up save game data.
How do I back up saved games?

Paramagnetic, the person is trying to reinstall after doing a manual uninstall. It isn't a matter of authorization on the website so much as files actually existing.

Not quite the kind of discussion to be encouraged on the forum. Locked.

That would be sarcasm from MinionJoe.
Basically to move from MAC to PC you have to go into the MAC directories, as indicated, copy the contents to a flash drive or some other transportable media, then install the game on the PC, then copy the data from the MAC into the right folders on the PC.
For some that's not too hard, but if you're not comfortable with directories, and how to view hidden files and folders it could be a bit tricky.

Animula wrote:This didn't help me. I have two folders in my locale folder. One is named en-us and it's empty. The other is th-th, and that folder contains 'NameGeneration.package', 'Text.package', and 'UI.package'. I've typed in the target both en-gb and en-us, and both times it says it's not a valid target. In the game the settings and other words are all stars '***' like so. Is there somewhere I can just download an english folder and put it in my locale folder?
Did you get your game via EA Download Manager? I believe it doesn't provide all the languages, you might want to contact support via phone or help.spore.com to ask if they can change your licensing at the server and let you download an English copy.
