OOOH! facepalm... haha, yeah, that's one of my alts that i accidentally made a while ago XD. it was meant for my brother, but he never plays spore now haha. for some reason, that's my default login, so i guess i just slipped up and logged in on that this time

if you want to have a really detailed area, you'll probably have to sacrifice space. you can pack a small area with tons of detail, and i would suggest you try something like i saw in the Museum adventure Andeavor made -- that is, the part you walk around in is the super detailed good looking buildings, then there's an invisible force field that keeps you in a certain area, and then beyond that, the buildings get less and less detailed until they're just silhouettes. Also, i think it would be absolutely KILLER if you could get a scene where you go up into one of the skyscrapers and can walk around in some awesome penthouse with like a pool and a bar and fancy-pants furniture and stuff... oh, if you need any help, i could lend my assistance as best as possible. you can PM me with info on buildings you'd like to have, pictures you want me to base stuff off of, etc... i'd be happy to help!

oh, but if you are going to request my help, just know one thing: i do have a lot of homework, and that [naturally] takes priority, so i may not be able to get your request(s) done for a day, or several days for that matter.

General Iathaz was a bit uneasy about the change of command for the Lustua empire's colonies. it *could* be just an attempt at strengthening relations between the Lustuans and other races in the area, but then again, all warfare is based upon deception. not wanting to take the risk, Iathaz did his best to strengthen his forces further ((-6 pts on 30soldiers/6vehicles, to planet Schen)). All those new troops had to go somewhere, so Iathaz decided to further expand the Halanean occupation on Schen ((-15pts for fortress on Schen... haha, sorry blaster))

i think we're getting ahead of ourselves. we don't even have a trial going! we have to get a team together, then get MUD or whoever was suing us to get a team together and agree to have a trial, and then we have to get a judge (maybe a Sporemaster lol), so on and so forth

dude, i can't tell you how many times i've done that same thing. sometimes you just have to go into the editor and start making stuff. you may end up with something completely different than what you expected, but it could change your story into something you like making a whole lot more.

. i agree, the explosion of HW is definitely killing my time for fun stuff (both Spore and other stuff {yes, i do have a life}). That's a bummer you have the flu... last year i missed a week and a half from having a 101 fever and flu symptoms

People, stop telling everyone to quit debating. Forums are for discussion, and debating is a form of discussion. if you don't like it, stop going to the Science in Spore Debate threads. just ignore them completely.

To everyone who is taking the "we want science" argument to the extreme, saying that the player would have to wait years and years to see any development, you're not really contributing to the discussion. you know what we mean when we say we want science and realism, and you're well-aware that what we want does not entail sitting at our computers for eons just to see a cell grow a flagellum, and for the next millennium just to see them eventually develop to become multi-celled.

Science = boring? that's just your opinion. i, for one, would LOVE to have a more scientific version of Spore, one that is actually a real simulation -- more realistic evolution (i.e. more parts to choose from {more realistic parts, for that matter}, more gradual evolution, etc.), more realistic animal behavior (animals with wings can and will actually fly for extended periods of time, some animals will travel in herds, some animals will actually go hunting, etc.), the list continues.

However, the sad reality of the fact is that EA/Maxis probably won't be making such a game (due to the fact that a lot of people wouldn't buy it... doesn't mean it would be a bad game, just means that people would probably associate science with learning, learning with school, and school with boring...), so our pleas for realism are all for naught. i'm not discouraging discussion, but i think that if people are going to make threads like this, they should actually be DEBATES and not just people shooting down the people arguing the scientific side with ridiculous suggestions like "okay, so you want it real? sit there for a billion billion years and then you evolve. if you die once, the disk will never work again". that's not discussion, that's just plain silly. oh, and for what it's worth, the people who say that kind of stuff honest to god sound like wee little kids -- they can't make an argument, so they just block out the other person.
