Bump bump bump and a thump thump thump goes the Grox in the night.

I'm glad they realize there ARE concerns about the game. Still, I would like info on what's going to be fixed. I asked in that thread...so no need to tell me anything.

I STILL feel an expansion is too early.
MaxisKane wrote:Hi Spore Players,

We have been listening to the reports of issues on this board and to Customer Support and we will be putting out another patch very, very soon. The patch is of course free and should fix the major issues some players are experiencing. We will release it as soon as it's been certified by testing. I know that you've waiting and we really appreciate your patience. It's going to be out very soon as soon as it's been certified.

Thanks again for your patience.

Respectfully~
Which issues will this fix? My biggest is the DRM and the limited installs. I'm sure those won't be fixed in this patch. Please, I'm just looking for SOME information.

Where is this announcement?
Are there details of what will be fixed?
Neruu wrote:this is the fine whine thread, with great whine from people who find that price expensive seeing as we don't pay to play this game.

Hun, I would GLADLY buy this expansion, if the original game weren't full of so many holes. EA and Maxis should be trying to FIX the problems in the original (AT NO COST TO THE CUSTOMER) rather than putting out an expansion.

spore wars!

They'll get my business...they're not installing Malware on my PC.
I wrote a review for it. I suggest EVERYONE who doesn't want more people fall victim to EA's money grubbing fingers to do so as well...Search out all online review sites and rate Spore and anything that comes from Spore the lowest score you can.

You're just now losing faith in them?
Milking customers for money instead of fixing the game first has been EA's M.O. for years.

Dramatic effect...
I guess I still had hope SOMETHING would be done, if only a little.
Now I have no hope at all. Looks like I can finally uninstall the EADM and forget about ever playing Spore again.

I'm a very logical thinker (to the point that my last relationship ended because he was SO illogical)
THIS IS FLAWED LOGIC!! FIX THE PROBLEM!!

You can add it to your cart.

Pre-order Ships 11/18/2008

Gross.
Just SPORING gross.

EA, I have lost all faith in you. Milking customers for money instead of fixing the game first. Go SPORE yourself.
Why don't you mods listen to me?
Just sticky the thread. I'm sure some of you mods agree with this thread. If you do, you have every right to voice your opinion.

I know, you're not supposed to. I was a GM for a private server once. I know the rules. "Be invisible...in the background."
However, this is a SERIOUS issue. EA is promoting the use of SPYWARE and MALWARE to monitor it's customers!! THAT INCLUDES YOU!!

It's like they say, no one is above the law, which means no one is above being a victim.
'Nother bump...
Maxis Mods should just sticky it, because I will be here every day to make sue this is page one.

That's what I saw about 3 weeks before Spore was released. I immediately downloaded the CC and even proceeded to buy the full version of it. The editors looked mostly the same between the CC and the demo by Will...Then I pre-ordered Spore.

Then I watched the live streams of players in Australia. All I could find were Space players, and it again, looked similar to the demo.
Then I got the game. I was excited. I played one full through. I was displeased. I had been looking for the things I saw in the Demo. I was wondering "What happened to the freedom to create my tribe in a unique way? Where is the weapons editor? The plant editor? Where are all the different things that people would be using in a time like this..."
And I couldn't find it. Let me say this again...I knew nothing of Spore until about three weeks before the release date. I watched that demo and after probably the fourth time, i realized the date on it was 2005. I searched high and low for more clues as to how the development went and found little to nothing. And so naturally, I concluded that things were going smoothly and that the game would be FANTASTIC because it had been THREE YEARS since that demo.

I was wrong.
End line, customer was not satisfied.

That is going to be Chapter 2 in my little saga. They should expect a flurry of E-mails once I get my phone bill. Obviously I'll record everything so I can let you guys know what happens.

Yay for freedom to share information!! Of course, that's not true if you live in the US, where the saying is "You can talk about anything and share all the information, unless we feel you shouldn't...for security's sake, of course. Now that second question was about oil where?"

I can't wait to read everything Dairuka!!
DrNemesis wrote:Signed.

I didn't like this when I first heard of it, and nothing I have seen since purchasing the game has given me any reason whatsoever to feel it is justified. I have several pieces of hardware I want to troubleshoot by testing in this machine. I do not expect to lose all my licenses by exerting my right to change my own hardware.

Furthermore I would expect EA to reimburse me for any phone charges incurred whilst calling them to arrange further licenses.

LoL
Good luck getting them to do that.
