I'm on Wizard and Glass now, they're incredible novels.
No, but I have read the Seventh Tower. Anyone here read them?
I read the entire series last (school) year and finished the last book at the beginning of this year, and in my opinion it was the best series I've ever read. Has a lot of different space/time warping-ish things that are cool, like the thinnies, and the blend of fantasy and sci-fi was just awesome.
ANYway, back on topic about roleplaying, I didn't check if anybody mentioned this before, but amnesia is portrayed wrong in many cases. Its cause by heart trauma, not head trauma (unless said trauma happened in the part of your brain that controls memory), and is usually more like short term/ long term memory loss than just losing a block of information and nothing else. Also, amnesia is usually portrayed as -like I said before- losing a block of memory than inexplicatly gaining it back. Even if there is a trigger for the memories coming back, thats still totally unrealistic. The most realistic portrayal of amnesia was actually Dory in Finding Nemo.
Note: The amnesia information I got from a Cracked.com article, so may need to be checked for correctness.

Guys, SOPA and PIPA is practically a diversion, there is a much worse one already written up and being talked about behind closed doors. The problem is so few people have heard of this bill, which is not American but worldwide as countries sign up to this agreement.
So I would stop worrying about SOPA and PIPA they will probably not pass, it is this other one, ACTA, you need to watch out for.
Anti Counterfeit Trade Agreement.
Worldwide effect, they would watch everything going in and out of your computer. If you have any trademarked or copyright information going into or out of your computer, they disconnect your internet at minimum. If you are lucky you get a fine, unlucky, you are in prison.
If you even reference a news article, you can go to prison.
Yes.
If I write an email up and send it to all of you talking about a news article in the LA times talking about Shamu the Killer Whale, I can go to prison sending it to you guys, if I reference or cite my source.
THAT is the downfall of the internet, ACTA.
Remember that name, that is the real threat, not SOPA or PIPA, if you ask me.

Agreed! Brilliant novels...I understand the magnum opus talk, although my King reading has been limited (Shawshank Redemption, On Writing, and the Running Man.)
I just started the last one. Part of me doesn't want to read it, just in case it isn't as great as I'm hoping.

And if I say that, there's an issue here.
Yes, Shawie is a great example of how all *cough*notincludingmemindyou*cough* Australians are wackjobs looking for someone to freak out with a twisted sense of humour.
