I just realized that two of my allies are each members of a philosophy with WMD. One is a scientist, the other is a Zealot. As an economic empire, I've been buying out the Zealot so I wouldn't have to deal with them while using the Scientists to curb the expansion of a rival economic empire that was "aggressively expanding."

Well, these two races got too close to each other and started fighting with each other. I ignored them like a good "Galactic Godfather" because taking sides in a dispute between two races that didn't directly offend me is something I just wouldn't do. Surprisingly, they both stopped fighting with each other once I had enough money to create a two-prong attack on my rival economic empire's territory.

Now both the Zealot and Scientists are at level 5 and offering me Philosophy Change missions.

This feels wrong since they have 25% more planets than me and I'm still trying to get enough money to buy out the Zealot planets that border the Scientist territories.

BUT HEY!! At least I found a way to get two allies to stop fighting: unify them against a common enemy!

Nevermind. They started fighting again once the quadrent of space got too tight for their comfort.

Thankfully, they haven't noticed that I've been buying out most of the territories they end up fighting over.
