Hi. I'm not a noob to Spore, but now that I've been playing awhile, I'm looking to download some other folks creations mostly in hopes that it will edge out the abundance of stupid Maxis creations that we cannot, for some reason, delete from our games. I really, really hate that.

Thing is, other than choosing someone as a buddy in the Sporepedia, I can't figure out how to download creatures/etc anymore since I now have the full game and not just the creature creator. I can't stand the automatic downloading of what is frequently crap and limit my game to buddy only. But I should still be able to get other folk's creatures into my game as I pick them right?

So how do I do this?

I know you can drag and drop the .png files into your game, but i'm not too sure on how this works, I've never done it myself.

usually the people I buddy up with are a: a personal friend or b: they have a ton of sweet creations I'd love to see in my game

I am using the windows version

1) start up the game
2) choose the 'share' tab
3) select 'search online'
4) click the 'download creation' for each thing you want
5) refresh for a new page to pick from

A good way to get a large ammount of creations (it be or it be not of the same theme) is subscribing to a Sporecast. there are a few great ones out there, like the Bura Tribes Collection, or the Low Complexity Collection. The PCGamer Sporecast is a nice one for all kinds of creations, though some are a bit odd (like a large Homer Simpson head), whilst if you enter Space phase, the Space Creature Collection is a must-have, just like the Superb Spaceship Collection.
