I wrote a small php (http://teuse.net/games/spore) program to help me sort out which creatures of mine fit which archtypes using the data from http://www.spore.com/comm/tutorials/archetypes and ran into a few problems. Health on the table lists ranges from 0-5 but when adding health it seems to go up to 10. I have seen creatures in the game made into Epics with more than 5+ in health. Is the table correct or is there some conversion other than +1 health = 1 health on the tables?

My sample creature is my Master Walrus which I have seen epicized in the game but seems to have too much health, 6 above the base 40 to become and Epic on its own. It does seem to work for which I have also seen.

I would guess that table refers to the Health level, which does range from 1 to 5 based on the creature part with the greatest Health bonus. Each bonus level appears to grant 2 HP.

Yes it makes more sense if you use the creature creator in the game, not the stand alone one that I use on the laptop and was using when i wrote the program. The in game on show you the + level for health.
