Cube planets

Hello all, Just a topic to post images of cube planets that you have come across, I havent found any, however

I think the first person to get a screenshot will probably start their own thread, but this one is good too. I haven't found any either.

theres screenshots on the thread called Cube planets? and i can't download the patch because of a problem so i'm waiting for the fix :[

Yes, but its... weird how theres only ONE picture? Has anyone even FOUND them?

I visited a sporeload of star systems, even with mod that makes it possible for a solar system to have more than 5 planets, still nothing.

Maybe it's a storybook planet.

I have not yet- but I have started again from cell with the patch in case something I miss - I am not sure if patches fix save games- they do not for the sims sometimes - so you have to start again to get the full impact of the patch.
I do not know if this is true for Spore of course.

Eh, it's either BS, they forgot to implement them or they're so rare it's not worth trying to find one.

I searched in over 350 star systems, that includes 250 systems in a game started AFTER patching the game. There were no cube planets.

They could make finding one another achievement that replaced badboy (or whatever it was called) for all we know.

Least they could do was inform us. Been searching for almost a day now, still nothing.

I've read somewhere that they appear like regular planets in the solar overview, and only reveal themselves when you zoom in. I could have misread though.

I found what I THINK is a cube planet...it basically had six identical...flattened beehive looking things, each at either end of three different axes. (axes-es? I hate math AND spelling so this is a tough one) The result was something that looked distinctly cubish. Even had water in the "corners" because the weird shapes didn't overlap all the way around.

I would post a screenshot but I don't know where they go when you hit "printscreen."

Once I figure that out, I will either post the shot I already took, or find that planet again.

They go to your clipboard, then go to Paint and paste it.

When you have the planet in sight, hit the "C" button on your keyboard. Quit the game, go to the "Documents" folder on your computor, go to the "My Spore Creations" folder, and it should be in "Pictures" folder.

So far the only screenshot of a Cube planet has been the one that MaxisCactus posted. I've searched the forum, YouTube, and Google images and I've found no other posted Cube planets.

...like I said... no one's found one, so there's no way to be sure... but I wouldn't see why you wouldn't be able to...

Actually, it clearly says in MaxisCactus's post that you can colonize cube planets. Dude, READ before you POST!
