Quality Spore is looking awesome these days!

I just wanted to pass along a small piece of information about Adventures, as seeing they are starting to dominate the Sporepedia. Inside the actual game, you can actually select 4 images to be used as screenshots for your adventure. Currently, we’re not showing them on spore.com, but that’s just because we’ve been busy and not had time to do so. Folks can see all 4 images in-game by looking at the adventure in the in-game Sporepedia. However – we are storing them up on the server and they are easy to get access to – so you could show them on your website, which would be super-cool.

Now keep in mind that not every adventure author actually sets all 4 images, so you may get a 404 error on some of those links, but you can probably figure out a way around that.

Haha, i was hoping Quality spore would pick up on your new tips, but I see you already posted it here too . I hope they can do this!!

Unfortunately for many of us, there's no API for finding out who owns a Sporecast unless you're looking at a subscriber. You also can't find the description and tags without looking at a subscriber.

Nightgunner is correct. However. you can list Sporecasts subscribed to by a user.

By "they" you mean "me" right? Kidding, I wish there was a they.

The adventure screenshots and the ability to see cast members would be a great addition to quality spore. The trick is to stop playing Galactic Adventures and start working on the website.

I have to admit, I've been playing quite a bit of GA myself! I'm not very interested in making stories, but instead I love to explore what sorts of game mechanics I can create (perhaps because I'm a programmer). Check out my latest - it's sort of like desktop tower defense, you can place turrets anywhere you like!

I was wondering that too. Is it an exact number of clicks, or is it somehow scaled?

And what does a -1 score mean (as on virtually all of my own creations). One person thumbed down? Or does it have something to do with decay...?

Anyway, quality spore is really cool. I just found out about it today. Thanks for making it!

My understanding is that the number corresponds to the number of up/down ratings (including rating decay) and the -1 means that it has never been given a thumbs up or down.

I was wondering if the "show used body parts" is going to return?

It's not working for me either, it's the same ol layout.

If there was a way to make the site interface able to tell you what assets are used by an adventure on your webpage, that would be a feature I'd like to see someday.
