Patch Mac Help

I try to install patch 4 when prompted at Spore's start-up, but a message appears that says "You cannot apply this patch on this version of the application. Please re-install" My only option is to choose OK, but it will just do the same thing.
If I try install it when prompted at Galactic Adventure's start-up, It does the same thing, except gives me the option not to re-install it. but Galactic Adventures wont play without the patch!
I need any help possible to play Galactic Adventures on my Mac!

At this point, Fatalyze, it may be easist if you follow the instructions on the previous page and reinstall Spore, then install GA.

Sorry for being lazy, but...

I recently reinstalled Spore. When I reinstalled, I'm pretty sure patches 1 and 2 came along with C&C. But I got no prompt for patch 3.

I used the eadm installer running on DarWine today. I'm pretty sure I have patches 3 and 4 now, as I have Exoskeleton parts and an expanded space travel radius.

Patch 5 was just released, and I reinstalled the eadm installer. I haven't gotten a prompt, and I don't have asymmetry.

Should I not be expecting a prompt for patch 5 instantly, or is something up with my game?

I have got no prompt for spore patch 4, what should I do?

Mac 1.05 is not yet released. Generally Mac patches are released a few weeks after the PC version.

when i open spore it always asks me to install something, so naturally the first time i do it. and then i let it restart itself. so when i go to open it again it still wants to install something. so about 4 or 5 times later i come to the conclusion something is wrong. so if anyone

I wish this was patch 1.5 help......

When will pactch 5 come out for Mac?!!!! I've been waiting for weeks!!!

@E-Ben, please don't necro, and read the forum guidlines before continuing to post, you don't really need to post that, there is already enough annoying spammers out there that do that, I have a mac, and I'm waiting patiently, so should you.

I just bought this game yesterday. Galactic edition on sale for my brand spanking new 13" Macbook Pro.

Game installed. patch 1 OK patch 2. failure.

I have tried every stinking workaround that is in on the internet and not a single one works.

I even compared the EXE of the PC and Mac edition and tried some switcharoos but no.

Mac has 1.1.0.357 after patch 1 created on 13 september 2008
PC has 1.1.0.358 after patch 1 created on 15 september 2008.

This is the sort of problems that made me regret changing to Mac. Thanks EA.

F***ING FINALLY!!

When patch 2 wants to install. It first asks 1 time in english (My OSX language is Norwegian). When you click No it asks a second time in my language. I click no again. Starts the game. play a little. Quit. Then start it up again and then answer yes in my language when it asks to update and then EVERYTHING WENT FINE. iPatcher also changed language. Might have something to do with my errors.

PHEW!!!

Ok, so last night, Spore asks if i want to install an update. I do. Everything looks ok, then I try to get on. This message come up: "Exception Raised: Uhandled exception 0xe06d7363 at address 0x7002c753. Do you wish to debug it? Yes/No."
I don't know what this means. I'm not experienced at all in debugging anything, I just want to play the game. Can someone help?

Same for me, applying the patch and now not longer able to even start the game.
"Exeption raised"...
Tried all the stuff from the net like removing user preferences etc.
Does it really have to be a new installation before I can play again?

My problem seems to be different from most of the ones posted: I am not getting prompts to download patches. At all. I do not have the exoskeleton limbs (patch 3) or anything in patch 4. I only realized there were patches when I saw someone else playing with them.

I am on a MacBook. Another computer, an iMac, in the same house prompts for patches and downloads them. The Spore game on the iMac was installed from the same disc.

What really confuses me is that my computer did in fact prompt me for a patch once - I think it was Patch 1. I plan to go into the game and check for the info function (hold i over part, displays stats) to make sure of this. I heard of something called iPatch(er) involved, is that required? Also, could my internet connection have something to do with it? Obviously I can look at web pages, but whenever I try a search from the in-game Sporepedia it tells me there was an error connecting to the Spore server. At the same time it has no problems downloading creatures from my buddies.

So, uh, yeah. Any help would be much appreciated.
