I'm glad you like it... let me know if you have any feedback.

I have an improved version coming soon that lets you pass in a list of tag names for any REST service and returns you a dictionary with [tag:value] for all those tags

App name:
SPOREWARS

Link:
http://www.rifo.it/processing/index.html

Screenshot:

Description:

INSTRUCTIONS:
This applet loads 8 pairs of random Spore creatures (please wait the loading time at each restart).
Each creature lives hidden in one of these 16 planets.
Planes move in the deep space.
Click on a pair of planets.
If they are populated by the same creatures, they live in peace...
...otherwise it's war!
A red ball of fire starts from one of the 2 planets and goes to the other one
If the ball of fire passes over a creature already discovered on a planet in peace, it is involved in war and brakes its peace with its twin planet too!
HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED IN ORDER TO DISCOVER ALL TWINS CREATURES AND STOP WARS?!?

Spore API Use:

Hey RifoItaly!

This is a great start! I like the idea of using Spore assets to play a game of "memory" and the twist on the game by removing some matches if you make a bad choice. My feedback would be to try and add some sound, maybe a cooler background, and a bit better feedback when you choose a mismatch and lose a match. Other than that, with some polish this could be a fun/addicting little game! Nice job!

Here's my score, not very good, haven't had my coffee yet

Thank you!
These are my first steps into this environment (Processing.org).
I discovered this programming leanguage only 2 days ago, thanks to spore api contest (but I'm from Italy, I can't partecipate).
Now I will go deeply to other functions (sounds and so on...)

Wow!
Great job!!

This game is hard... a worthy challenge!
I beat it in 31 tries... that's the score to beat, people!!

Processing is a great free programming environment for developing stuff like this.
I'm very glad you got into it.

Don't worry if you can't enter the competition.
We can still link to your application in our gallery: http://www.spore.com/comm/developer/gallery/
which in my opinion is the REAL prize

Keep improving and making stuff!

Thank you again!

But this is only an alpha-version, it is still in progress.
I'm learning "Processing" environment, so I'll implement my improvements into that little game, until it will be more user friendly and completed (I've many add-on in my mind...)

Creature Archtypes in Sporecast
http://teuse.net/games/spore/sporecast_archtypes.php

Description
A PHP page to display all the Creature Archtypes in a sporecast. You must provide the sporecast id (grab it from the sporecast URL address). Shows the Archtype for each creature in the sporecast (200 creature limit), all of the archtypes in the sporecast and which ones are missing so the spore cast can be "completed".

Spore API Use
Used the Assets for Sporecast REST feed.
Used the Unoffical PHP Spore-API Class

Hey! A usefull application! That's new... Great job!! Off to test it... Works great, awesome...
The 200 cap it's a bit of a nuissance... Since buidings have no archetype, you think you could filter those... Or just raise it?

I'll look at using the asset type and filter it for just creatures, thats a good idea on its own. But that wouldnt make more creatures show up in a large sporecast that 200 number is passed to the REST feed link so it might just filter out everything if the latest 200 assets were buildings and all the creatures were older. I capped it at 200 because it was starting to take a while to load. Also I figured that with 200 creatures you should be able to met all the archtypes that are only like 20, I've met most of them with almost all my sporecast and the largest of them is like 50. For now if you put &num_asset=1 or what ever number you want at the end of the submitted link it will do more or less assets.

The link of the button "Try it Out" is wrong and it points to another App (The Creation Viewer).
