This is bit off-topic, can you try posting on "help"? As you do... The C&C creatures you see sorted, do they have a lock icon on-top, can you load them on the editor itself? You should try reinstalling... after uninstalling, of course. Search for how-to's if you need to back-up saves and such...

They're pretty interesting looking, but not enough so to hand over $20 for. Until parts are cheaper--or better yet, free! (we know it's possible *cough!* patch #3! *cough!*)--I don't plan on ever getting C&C.

OK so I hate myself... I went and did it... I had to buy a new video card for my mothers machine and the dadgum store put the games next to the cards... of course the c&c had to be the ones right across the isle from the card I needed... had mom with me so she saw it and boom 2 parts packs in her hands... I am so ashamed... I think I spoil her far too much... oh well it's just money...

Now lets see... hmm... 49 for her game... 79 for me... 10 for her original creature creator... 40 for the C&Cs... taxes... OMG thats about $200 ... I should get a thank you note from some one...

Oh and I do not know, did C&C put this in or is it from the new graphics settings since I upgraded her video card she has better settings in the game now, but her game has weather changes in creature stage. Was that always in there? Her creatures seem to react to the rain also when she has them running around. My computer can't handle the high settings so I can't get weather, or even the flowers I have seem on hers...

I have always had weather so it may be the new video card. I think though if you lower the graphics settings it may limit the animations and cut out things like weather. And yes you need the higher graphics settings to see the plants. At the highest settings the vegetation is really good looking, not trying to rub it in.

My old video card died so I found an nVidia AGP 7300 GT with 512 MB Vid RAM and even on my old 1.2 GhZ AMD Duron I can set graphics on high all across the board. I got the card for $45 after a $40 rebate. Not sure if you want to spend any more money (And yes you really should get a thank you card, at least a Spore post card from Will) but it did make the game that much better for me.

YEA... an excuse to get a new computer... my video card is an agp and I can't seem to find any better than the geforce fx5200 gt 256 meg card that I have. I have been looking for an excuse to upgrade but have not been able to, but that would also meen I have to upgrade to vista... dang it... now I got to look at my other programs to see if they will work in vista... I have to have my graphics set to low on everything in spore (the first game I have had to do that on) and I figured that was the reason... this is not going to be my day... guess it's back to the crappy graphics since mom won't trade computers either...

I know people have complained about the costs and what not.. since this was announced... but D.A.M.N! I just spent the $80 for the Galactic Edition two friggin' months ago!

If any of the Maxoids can get a message to the higher ups... There really needs to be some sort of consession to those who paid full price...

I understand that games/expansions/stuff packs through the Sims games go down in price... and that's to be expected.. but two months after release... is like getting a hearty slap in the kisser for being a paying customer.

I bought it and like it. I was sort of shocked to see that the part pack really didn't add much to the sporepedia but is that because only people with the part pack can see creepy&cute creations? If not, then C&C failed in sales.

I got it a couple days ago too. I love it. Most of my creatures use C&C and if you want to see them please go to my spore page (1234 ummm 6)

Thanks so much for all the effort, it really helps me to decide on the pack. I think I'll be getting it now that I have seen some of the parts I may want to use.

Currently, the best AGP on the market is the ATI Radeon 3850HD, made by both Sapphire and HIS. Though you're still going to need a pretty powerful computer to notice the benefits of having the last of the AGP beast. If your CPU is at or below a single core 3.0Ghz, don't expect to get much out of the card. It's also the only AGP card that can run DirectX 10, so if you'll be upgrading to Vista, that'll be another bonus.

The card itself can run quite a lot of new games on high settings (not highest), and Spore runs great with everything maxed.

Not sure why you say you HAVE to upgrade to vista if you update your computer though. Vista still isn't a requirement on anything but DX10. If you don't need or want to, then don't
