How far into the the Civilization/Space Stage are Humans?

What milestones have we passed?

What milestones do we need to accomplish next?

Also, What Terra-Score would Earth have?

What Terra-Score is Earth gonna have in 20 years?

Could we handle it if we knew space-faring sentient life existed as a public fact?

How would we react?

How long would we last against an attacking alien race?

How long would we last against the Grox?

(EDIT)

(/EDIT)

EDIT: I'm talking about REAL LIFE Earth. Just to make things clear.

What color spice planet are we living on?

I have no interest in ordinary humans. If there are any aliens, time travelers, sliders, or espers here come join me.

Humans are at the beginning of the space stage, as we have interplanetary drive.

Earth is probably a T3 considering the diversity of species.

Aliens would crush us.

Were not even on the Grox radar yet.

Hum, fun questions...

How far into the the Civilization/Space Stage are Humans?
I'd say we're midway through Civilization stage, yet poking our heads into the Space Stage.

I'd say the vast majority of the countries are "economic" and so far the EU has the largest nation on our planet. Should the AU ever form ( ) we'd be that much closer to a one world nation, thus ushering us off into space as Spore would have it.

What milestones have we passed?
Not sure about that one... Milestones? What?

What milestones do we need to accomplish next?
Same as above.

Also, What Terra-Score would Earth have?
Earth is currently a T3 planet but the little ball is dangerously high and very close to popping over into a T2 with to much atmosphere

What Terra-Score is Earth gonna have in 20 years?
Depends on the course we take in the next few years.

Could we handle it if we knew space-faring sentient life existed as a public fact?
I think it would be split down the center. A large number of people would be ok with it however we have those religious fundamental nut jobs who, if they learned they were no longer the center of the universe, would freak out like crazy and declare some sort of holy religious war against the "agents of the devil" or just kill themselves.

Hopefully the second option.

How would we react?
See above

How long would we last against an attacking alien race?

Currently, not long. If an alien race could fly all the way here I'd be willing to bet they have some pretty advanced technology and I'm sure some of that technology would be tilted towards destruction.

But we are resilient little buggers. We'd adapt.

How long would we last against the Grox?
If the Grox were to mount a full scale invasion, not long at all.

what i meant by milestones as in, during the civilization stage there's that little bar at the bottom of the screen that shows you how close to the space stage you are. inside that bar are little markers (milestones) telling you what needs to be accomplished. I'm asking what milestones we have accomplished so far.

If the Grox were to mount a full scale invasion, we'd clean their clocks in a matter of days. Bombardment from orbit, OTOH, would screw us over with little to no effective retaliation.

Bear in mind that the Earth is groaning under the weight of land-based military forces.

any race capable of accelerating things to relativistic speeds could wipe us out no problem. just grab an asteroid and chuck it at us or knock the moon out of orbit

In other words, if they can get here they can kill us.

I sort of did that.. with one of my games. I created a Hominid and called it a Humanida... and went with it.

I've got nothing again... well maybe just this..

LOL... Human philosphy isn't in Spore.

The mordern interpretation of Nihlism appears to fit best, judging by the state of planetwide society in general

Any race capable of accelerating things to relativistic speeds would have far more pressing threats to be concerned with than a species largely incapable of leaving its own homeworld for very long, never mind its own star system. Any race capable of accelerating things to relativistic speeds would undoubtedly attract the ire of the OTHER races capable of accelerating things to relativistic speeds.

This makes for a good read on the subject, particularly when you get to the part about relativistic weaponry.

We haven't left the solar system or colonized another planet yet. We aren't even true-to-Spore-space stage yet.

Our planet isn't unified.

We've built spaceships, but we've yet to enter the Space Stage because we have neither the tractor beams nor weapon-grade lasers (but we're very close to the latter) used in the tutorial. We also don't have a nifty scanner, but we can visit some of the planets in our solar system.

Installations of secret software that create security risks are intrusive and unlawful. Consumers’ computers belong to them, and companies must adequately disclose unexpected limitations on the customary use of their products so consumers can make informed decisions regarding whether to purchase and install that content. - FTC Chairwoman Deborah Platt Majoras, on the Sony BMG CD DRM scandal of 2005

We personally can't. We've sent unmanned probes to the surface of Mars, and we have a few in orbit of the other planets, but that's about it.
