THE USCC CHRONICLES
part 1 to 2
PART 1: THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR
A group of Ackoli were talking at a table, in one of the rooms of the Ackoli militia headquarters, discussing what should be done about a recent attack. The attack involved Iencraf Private security and infrastructure Co. destroying an Ackoli assisted rebel base. Iencraf’s private security division had stormed the base with highly trained soldiers (privatised, of course) who used nerve agents that had been considered war crimes by the AWDA (Ackoli workers democratic authority).
The village that the sprawling underground base had been built under was devastated, with many civilian casualties as well. The Ackoli at the table charged Iencraf with Civilian murder, banned weapons and Torture. A party of Ackoli militia was organized to attack Key Iencraf locations. A few tanks were loaded on to the transport ship, as the Ackoli force boarded the Transport vehicle. The transport vehicle activated its engines and began to accelerate into the upper atmosphere, where the first stage of the craft was jettisoned, leaving a large capsule. Two small engines mounted on the capsule continued to accelerate, until low kepler62f orbit was achieved.
A few hours later the capsule docked with a large space station, and the small army of Ackoli were transferred on a C-grade interstellar military transport. The Military transport was ejected from the cargo hold of the station, and accelerated away using a few small ion drives. Soon afterwards, the Alcubierre drives powered up and the space around the craft started to distort, until suddenly the distortion ended and there was nothing left, except the empty vacuum of space.
The military transport then appeared in orbit of the planet where the base was located. Soon afterwards, the Alcubierre drive and fusion reactor of the craft separated and activated, sending the engine back to the space station. The command capsule of the craft activated one small engine, deaccelerating the craft from orbit. The capsule descended closer and closer to the surface, and soon red-hot air was streaking off the sides of the craft. The heat soon dissipated, and a parachute was activated, slowing the craft until it came to a holt on the ground, in the middle of a large desert.
A hatch opened on the capsule, and the Ackoli squadron came out, with a few tanks and a helicopter. A jafrak with a pistol and the Iencraf badge, who was most likely patrolling the desert for rebel activity and happened to be nearby when the pod landed, shot a few times at the Ackoli who had just landed, but was shot down by a sniper mounted on a tank. The Ackoli militia then got out some sandbags and placed them around the landed capsule, which was now their base of operations.
The flag of the USCC (union of spacefaring communist civilizations) was planted in the sand, and a few Ackoli ran over to the dead jafrak to check if it had sent a radar signal before it was killed. They picked up the transmitter that the jafrak had in its coat, and scanned it. A signal had been sent one minute ago, to an unknown location. The Ackoli returned to their makeshift base and warned the others of a potential imminent attack. Those Ackoli were right as Soon afterwards, dust was spotted on the horizon.
A few hundred jafrak conscripts carrying Iencraf banners and a few tanks where spotted. The Ackoli in the pod manned their stations, and prepared for combat. The tanks that had been positioned around the base fired first, flashing faint red streaks of light towards the approaching enemy. A few jafrak exploded in flame, falling dead and charred into the sand, but the others marched on. a shell streaked passed the Ackoli base, exploding nearby. The enemy were in range.
A few more shells flew near the Ackoli base, until one smashed into one of the Ackoli tanks, tearing a large hole in its armour and knocking it over. The tanks crew perished quickly, and a few more Ackoli were crushed as the heavy tank fell over onto their makeshift pillboxes. Snipers from both sides fired at each over, soldiers falling dead and dying. As the jafrak came closer, machine guns on the remaining Ackoli tank activated, mowing down the enemy Iencraf forces.
Blooded corpses fell at the front of the enemy lines but still they marched on, firing at the Ackoli, who were beginning to cower. The Scared Ackoli continued firing, as the jafrak continued marching on and on, with no apparent fear. A few Ackoli went into the helicopter they had at the base, flew above the jafrak and rained down bullets among the soldiers. The jafrak panicked, and fled in all directions at the sight of the Ackoli attack helicopter. The helicopter prepared to return to the base and deactivated its weapons, as the last remaining jafrak were either retreating or wounded.
Suddenly, a missile steaked into the helicopter, destroying it. The helicopter came crashing down into the ground, pummelling a few jafrak corpses. a massive tank slowly rose over the horizon, crushing the ruins of the helicopter with its massive treads. The Ackoli panicked and prepared to retreat, some of them driving off in their only tank. The massive tank aimed its many turrets towards the terrified cowering Ackoli, and shot out a burst of missiles. The tank was hit, and bursted into flames, exterminating its crew.
The surviving Ackoli ran for their lives as the terrifying tank destroyed their base with a barrage of missiles. Hatches opened all over the massive tank, and machine guns were fired out of the holes. The Ackoli ran, but the machine gun bullets massacred them. As the few remaining Ackoli were mowed down by machine gun fire, One of the Ackoli, an engineer, darted away to the left. But before the Ackoli could get out of the way the massive tank fired a few bullets towards the retreating Ackoli engineer
Ackoli quickly took out his transmitter, to see Ackoli, and hit. The Ackoli screamed and fell over, wounded and hurt, but still conscious.
As the tank marched on, killing even more of the, now only ten, surviving Ackoli. The wounded if it was still available, and pressed the SOS button. Two seconds later, the treads of the tank crushed the Wounded Ackoli into a pulp, as it killed the three remaining Ackoli with a quick burst of machine gun fire.
Two days later, at the Ackoli militia headquarters, the same Ackoli who planned the attack where discussing about the missing Ackoli base and the brief SOS signal, which involved an Ackoli briefly screaming, a crunch, and then nothing. Many means were attempted to communicate with the base, but they failed, and the mission was aborted, as the Ackoli at the table packed up, turned off the lights, and left for their apartments.
1 YEAR LATER
The details of the failed mission had been mostly forgotten, consigned to obscure information in Servers and hard to find pieces of paperwork in the depths of remote AWDA bases, until a group of jafrak rebels were exploring in the site of the battle to find scraps to build their makeshift bases. One of the jafrak found a bone, broken and cracked, sticking out of the soil, and called over the others. The small group of rebels explored the nearby area, and found more bones and a few scraps of metal.
Curious about their newfound discovery, the rebel group got out some shovels and started to dig in the site. They found a few more bones and scrap, until one of the rebels hit solid ground. After scrubbing away some of the dirt, the rebel hit a solid surface. He called over his comrades, who dug away at the surface until a large steel plate appeared. The plate was torn in some sections, covered in bullet holes, and charred with soot. The rebels lifted up the damaged plate to reveal the interior (or what remained of it) of an AWDAMS drop pod.
The rebel jafrak’s jumped back in disgust at the sight of several decaying Ackoli corpses, some of them horrifically mangled. The stench of death seeped out of the ruins, and several of the rebels vomited. One of them put on his gas mask, and called the others to come in. a few jafrak followed him, and scanned the surroundings. After walking around in the corridors of the drop pod, a faint red light caught their attention.
An Ackoli communications device, that had been on the ship, had survived the attack and went into standby mode. One of the rebels went up to it, pressed a few buttons, and a few flickering lights turned on. The rebel pressed a few more buttons, and activated the SOS signal of the craft. Back at AWDA headquarters in kepler62f, an Ackoli Communications Manager was scanning for signals from A few Ackoli scientific satellites that had been previously launched, when a faint distress signal appeared on the radar, from a remote site in an Iencraf owned planet.
The Ackoli contacted Authorities, who started to look through files to see if any Ackoli spacecraft had been landed in that location. After looking through some servers, one of them found a record of a failed mission attempt, that had disappeared without warning. The Ackoli communications manager quickly opened communications with the craft, and was greeted by a band of jafrak rebels. The interior of the ship looked badly damaged, and the Ackoli could see some stained blood on the walls through the cameras.
The jafrak rebels explained what they had found, and the Ackoli listened. After a brief conversation, the jafrak rebels suddenly turned around as a warning siren went off. The Ackoli figured that the communication channel must have been intercepted by Iencraf forces, and quickly terminated the signal. Back at the drop pod, the panicked jafrak rebels grabbed some machine guns from the cargo holds, climbed out of the drop pod and ran, as a large cloud of dust appeared over the horizon.
They ran as fast as they could, but it was too late as a sniper bullet ricocheted off the ground near them. The rebels ran towards a nearby sand dune, jumped behind it, and loaded their weapons. As the enemy force came into sight, a few hundred conscripts where spotted. The rebel jafrak fired at the loyalist conscripts, and a few of them fell dead or wounded.
The conscripts moved towards a nearby sand dune to avoid fire, but not before the rebels could reload their magazines and score a few more hits. As the fight raged on between the outnumbered, but skilled, guerrilla rebels and the numerous conscripts, the Ackoli who had previously opened up communications with the rebels called AWDA to inform them of the discovery. The AWDA staff who answered the call quickly sent a broadcast to the militia branch headquarters, who then organized a surprise strike on Iencraf forces at the site.
As Thousands of Ackoli militia, specialised in desert warfare, were sent a message informing them of the attack in the near future, the rebel jafrak were winning the fight against the, now few, conscripts. One of the conscripts started to retreat, which normally would be punished by instant death, but the other fighters ignored the retreating conscript. As the remaining enemy where gunned down by the skilled rebels, the sole survivor ran into the horizon.
Hours later, at night, the rebels set up a camp, started a fire, and went to sleep. A deep rumble awakened them, as they found the ground shaking, and what appeared to be a massive sandstorm in the distance. The rebels packed up their gear, and ran as fast as they could, to the ruins of the drop pod, which was now a few kilometres away from them, in the hope that the drop pod would provide shelter.
The sandstorm moved closer and closer, and as it came closer, a huge shadow appeared in the heart of the storm. Soon the rumbling of the ground became so intense, that the jafrak could no longer walk without falling. The panicking rebels quickly ducked behind a sand dune and placed their bags in front of them, to shield off the sand.
the sandstorm suddenly smashed into their makeshift sandbags, sending them flying. The rebels ducked, but one of them was too late, and was thrown into the air by the massive gusts of wind. The other rebels saw their comrade smash into the sand head first, breaking his neck. The corpse was soon covered with sand, as the other rebels noticed the storm clearing. As the storm cleared off, they noticed a massive shadow covering them, and the rumbling of the ground continued. When they turned around, they ran for their lives.
A massive tank, twenty metres tall and hundreds of metres long, was trundling over the sand at a fast pace. As they ran, one of them looked back, and realised that the tank had stopped. The tank itself was massive, four times bigger than the one the Ackoli had encountered one year before. Huge Iencraf flags were draped over its sides, as it sat there, stationary. A massive hatch opened on the tanks top, and a platform, dotted with hundreds of Missiles, rose up out of the hatch.
Ten of the missiles started to vibrate, and smoke streamed out of their engines. Moments later, those ten missiles shot out their holsters, and streamed off into the distance. The jafrak rebels, in awe of the sight, quickly ran over to a sand dune, and hid behind it. The missiles produced a streak of smoke as they streamed across the sky, as their flight path began to ark downwards.
After the missiles disappeared behind distant mountains in the horizon, most of the rebels ducked down behind the sand dune so they could not be seen, except one, who kept a lookout to make sure the tank, or any of its occupants, did not see them. Seconds later, a blindingly bright bust of light streaked over from the horizon, vaporising the head of the rebel on lookout as hundreds of tonnes of sand and debris, and an approaching fireball, zoomed out across the desert, smashing into the sand dune, and burying the rebels under thousands of tonnes of radioactive fallout, killing them instantly.
A massive mushroom cloud appeared over the horizon, as the massive tank rose up from the tonnes of sand dumped on it, spraying up a huge sandstorm as it rose. the massive tank rolled through the wasteland, as nuclear fallout rained like snow from above. As it moved onwards, another tank appeared in the distance, moving through the nuclear blizzard. More and more of these massive tanks appeared, and joined the now rapidly growing convoy, until they marched out of the nuclear desert, and through a large plain.
The plains eventually made way to a forest, which eventually made way to a vast ocean. The hundreds of tanks formed a barricade along the coast, as a large, but not as big as the tanks, submarine appeared in the ocean. A small boat was launched out of it, with a sniper perched on its roof.
The small boat landed on the shore, and a medium sized jafrak jumped out, surrounded by bodyguards and covered in gold medals. “today” he said, “we will end the commie filth and their so called ‘Ackoli workers democratic authority’!’” “today is the day we will crush these maggots and their army of militia!”. the jafrak was Iencraf, the CEO of Iencraf private infrastructure corporation, and he was the most powerful individual in history (due to the fact that the USCC was heavily decentralised)
Iencraf spurted out some patriotic propaganda, and got in his boat. The boat left for the submarine, and as the submarine hatch was about to open to let Iencraf in, a flash of light appeared in the sky. An Ackoli spacecraft appeared in orbit 50 kilometres above. The radiation fried the circuits in the tanks and the submarine, so the Iencraf forces could not retaliate. Iencraf himself screamed and knocked on the hatch door, but as hard as he could knock, the hatch would not and could not open. Another burst of light quickly appeared on the horizon, as another Ackoli craft appeared in orbit, and others were soon to join.
A huge orbital laser from an Attacking Ackoli vessel destroyed the shell of multiple tanks, setting them on fire. The Ackoli spacecraft opened their hatches, and hundreds of drop pods jettisoned out, rapidly de-orbiting and heading towards the surface. As Iencraf panicked and jumped in a lifeboat, with his most loyal bodyguards in an attempt to escape, Ackoli drop pods had entered the atmosphere and where parachuting down, unaffected by Iencraf gunfire.
The Ackoli attack team had also notified rebel forces, who attacked from all sides, mowing down the Iencraf forces with rapid machine gun fire. Massive orbital lasers tore up the Iencraf tanks, which were now sitting ducks. The Iencraf forces, terrified, grabbed any weapon they could find, and fought back. After a period of one-sided fighting, the effects of the radiation from the craft started to wear off. Inside the tanks, lights started to flicker on, and the troops inside them could now see. Then, suddenly, the tanks burst into life, surprising the Ackoli forces.
Iencraf, in his tiny lifeboat, turned back to the submarine, which was now online. Massive rocket launchers, thousands of rows of machine guns, and other huge weapons, aimed towards the Ackoli, and fired. But the Ackoli militia were prepared. They weaved between the tanks, dodging rockets, which either smashed into the ground, or another tank. One of the tanks opened up its missile bay, and fired a few missiles into the distance. Another tank fired into the opposite direction.
The other tanks soon followed, launching missile after missile. The Confused Ackoli attack force soon realised what was happening. The Iencraf tanks were trying to destroy them with the shockwaves of the missiles. The Ackoli militia watched the missiles fly into the distance, and some of them ran towards the drop pods, which had a chance of surviving the blast. The Missile trails started to fade away, and soon there was just a few tiny specks of smoke, which were starting to curve down.
Moments later, the specks of smoke dissipated, and the sky was empty, apart from a few tiny missiles in the distance. The Ackoli started to run, as If they did not find shelter soon, they would be destroyed by the shockwave when all the missiles hit the ground. Iencraf’s submarine started to sink, a mocking message playing out of megaphones on the submarine, before sinking under the water. As most of the Ackoli were inside their drop pods, which started to burrow down in an attempt to survive the blast, the others started running to shelter. Nearly all of the Ackoli were inside the drop pods, with only a few Ackoli left outside, when the missiles disappeared behind distant mountain ranges.
As the Ackoli drop pods stopped burrowing, sitting half-submerged in the ground, and the final Ackoli outside jumped into ditches and holes, as well as the ruins of a few of the tanks, in an attempt to survive, covering themselves up with tarpaulin from parachutes and metal debris, a blinding flash of light covered the horizon. the light soon turned into absolute darkness as huge amounts of dust, up to millions of tonnes, shot outwards from the hundreds of nuclear blasts.
One of the Ackoli spacecraft in orbit above was swamped with this debris, which was now steaming towards space, as well as the tiny area of empty space left on the ground. Ackoli inside the spacecraft looked out of the windows, as huge clumps of debris smashed into the hull. They did not get to look out the windows for long, as the hull was torn by the stream of hypersonic dust, sucking out the air, as well as the occupants out of the spacecraft.
At the ground, the shockwaves arrived at the tanks and drop pods, causing the ground to shake, as well as an immense rumbling noise. The dust suddenly smashed into the ground, burying the tanks. One of the Ackoli drop pods, as well as all the Ackoli left outside, were sent flying by the stream of dust and debris. The Ackoli outside were torn apart almost instantly, but the drop pod, although highly battered, remained intact. The pod flew out of the cloud, and activated its parachute.
As it landed on the (remains of the) ground, the Ackoli inside it looked out the window, to see a huge cloud, as well as Highly damaged Ackoli transport craft arcing towards the ground. The Ackoli inside the catapulted drop pod jumped into a fast-moving multi-vehicle that had been put inside the pod in case of emergency, and drove off at maximum speed, as they knew that the craft carried a fuel of hydrogen isotopes, which would activate if the craft was destroyed.
The pods that had been better anchored in, as well as the tanks, were stable during the blast. The crew inside them heard a significant rumbling, but they were mostly unharmed. The destroyed Ackoli spacecraft entered the atmosphere, heating up to a glow. Sections of the ship tore off, either flying into the distance or vaporising from the heat, but the main body stayed mostly intact. Deep In the ocean, which was now in a turbulent muddy mess, Iencraf’s private submarine was moving away from the battle site.
Inside the submarine, all that could be seen outside of the portholes was mud. The sonar was less effected by the thick mud, so the crew could still navigate. As the cloud of dust moved away, the daylight started to faintly move in. the tanks re-activated and started to dig themselves out of the dust, and the Ackoli drop pods started to tunnel upwards. As soon as the first drop pod peered out of the ground, it suddenly reversed at maximum speed. Through the thinning cloud a huge outline could be seen, the outline of the falling Ackoli transport.
The tanks could not burrow down into the ground, and activated full speed in a futile attempt to escape. Iencraf’s submarine could not detect the incoming spacecraft, and continued to slowly move around the depths. The Ackoli who had their drop pod catapulted turned around and started to film the event. The massive craft, now close to the ground, was casting a shadow over a massive area. A few of the jafrak tanks could be seen, appearing like tiny ants about to be crushed by a falling boulder.
The Ackoli activated their camera, and started to broadcast the film to the AWDAMS headquarters. The massive craft, flaming with heat, smashed into the ground. A wave of fire swept over the tanks, which were torn apart and sent flying, their segments appearing like specks of dust compared to the enormous spacecraft. The fuel tanks of the spacecraft were torn apart, and whitish smoke streamed out of it at enormous speeds.
Seconds later, the gas burst into flame. An enormous wave of energy spread through the ground, tearing up the surface. Waves of lava spread out from the huge cracks torn in the crust by the impact, which were now expanding rapidly across the surface. The nearby ocean was vaporised almost instantly, as the Observing Ackoli saw a faint metallic spec in the bursts of steam that used to be the ocean. The other orbiting Ackoli spacecraft saw a massive explosion on the planet, as the continent collapsed.
The crew watched the footage from the Ackoli survivors on the surface, until the camera was vaporised by a huge wave of lava that swept out from the impact. The oceans on the planet were turned into steam quickly, until all that was visible from space was grey clouds and the spout of debris coming from the impact area. The Ackoli craft ejected all their remaining drop pods, which flew towards cities in an attempt to rescue any surviving civilians. The Ackoli soldiers landed soon afterwards, to find a burning city, covered in corpses of those who were too weak to survive.
The river was steaming with heat, and surviving civilians were using the boiling river to cook dead animals that had died soon after the blast. The civilians, when they saw the Ackoli drop pods come in, ran towards them, as even though they were on the opposite side of the battle, this was their only chance to survive. Civilians were loaded onto the Ackoli drop pods all over the planet, as thousands of lives were saved. Iencraf bunkers were stormed, their occupants kicked out into the wasteland, and civilians who were strong enough to survive where loaded in.
the sudden heatwave dissipated, and soon the temperature started to drop. Ackoli radiation detectors spiked, and the Ackoli drop pods launched. Soon afterwards, they were in the Ackoli spacecraft. The Ackoli started to mourn the massive death toll that had occurred, until they realised something that came out of this mission. Iencraf was dead and his forces decimated. The planets previously controlled by Iencraf had lost their leader and many of their forces, and where falling into chaos.
The good news (as well as the bad) were transmitted to the AWDA headquarters, and the Ackoli spacecraft began to warp home. Back at Kepler62f, AWDA released the news, and a public holiday was declared. Red flags were hung from the windows of Apartments, and the factories were filled with cheering Ackoli. The rescued jafrak civilians were welcomed to Kepler62f, and as they stepped down from the entry module, they were greeted by cheering Ackoli. The next day, The Ackoli factories were activated, and giant machines were at work, run by tens of thousands of Ackoli.
Cargo spacecraft where launched at a rapid pace, and at the Ackoli space stations huge transports were being constructed. Millions of Ackoli militia paraded down the streets and into space centres, as the news that capitalism had crumbled was broadcast in the news of all civilizations of the USCC, as the Ackoli’s many allies sent in their efforts in their final push. In the following moths, Ackoli spacecraft were launched to many Iencraf colonies, decimating the forces that were stationed there.
Almost daily, a new colony was liberated by the Ackoli militia, or the army of one of the members of the USCC. At the jafrak home world, high ranking jafrak officials were panicking over what should be done. When the Ackoli attacked, they were greeted by cheering crowds, and jafrak workers were beginning to riot and fight the Iencraf remnant. Outside the Iencraf corporation headquarters, which was a massive spire a few kilometres tall, Militant workers where smashing windows, and overpowering the forces sent to counter them.
they stormed the lower floors of the headquarters, and when one of the Iencraf officials tried to escape in a helicopter. Rebels shot it down with an anti-aircraft gun, the helicopter smashing into the ground nearby, killing its occupant. As the rebels ran up and up into the tower, the officials grabbed their weapons and prepared to fight, surrounded by bodyguards. The rebels ran up into the top floor, and fired repeatedly at the Iencraf forces, who shot back.
But for every rebel they killed, many more would stream out from the lower floors. As the bodyguards where shot, the Iencraf officials decided to surrender. The final bodyguard fell dead, as it was just the officials surrounded by rebels. A burst of light appeared in the sky, as Ackoli spacecraft appeared rapidly. the officials fired with their pistols at the rebels, killing a few. Flashing lights appeared and disappeared, as military bases where destroyed by Ackoli orbital lasers.
The officials were shot at many times by the rebels, and their corpses thrown out the windows of the headquarters. One of the rebels climbed up onto the top spire, tore down the Iencraf flag, and replaced it with a makeshift flag of the Union of spacefaring communist civilizations. The final Iencraf bases were captured by the USCC, or destroyed from the inside by rebels, and AWDA sent a message to all Ackoli bases stating that capitalism had ended, and that the spacefaring civilizations of the galaxy had finally progressed to true communism, a stateless classless society was now achieved. But, deep in a bunker on a remote unexplored world, a group of Iencraf loyalists were plotting a coup on the USCC.
PART 2: NEW IENCRAF
Inside the bunker, a group of around 300 Iencraf CEO’S were discussing their plans. The bunker was an old missile silo used by Iencraf corporation before the revolutionary war, as the victorious USCC now called the previous conflict. The silo was unused and abandoned, but the missile inside it was still usable. The missile itself was a standard interplanetary rocket tipped with a 20 Megaton thermonuclear warhead, and was aimed at the small former-Iencraf colony on a nearby planet, now owned by the USCC.
A group of Iencraf CEO’s in the launch rooms activated the missile, which slowly launched out of the tiny planetoid where the bunker was located, and ejected its first stage. The rocket slowly drifted through space, until it entered the gravitational sphere of the colony. It aimed retrograde, and thrusted until it had a collision trajectory, then it ejected its final stage and the warhead, now the only part left, flew through the atmosphere.
At the colony, the detection radars where registering a strange object entering the atmosphere, on a direct collision course with the colony. The evacuation sirens were sounded, and the few thousand Ackoli and jafrak living in the colony ran towards the bomb shelters, but it was too late. The missile struck the heart of the colony, and a huge fireball destroyed everything nearby. Debris flew out, smashing into buildings, reducing them to rubble. A huge black cloud emerged from the ruins, and radioactive fallout emerged into the atmosphere.
Eventually, the raging fire ended, and the radiation dropped, and a tiny landing pod drifted down to the explosion site. A large antenna extended from the pod, and the pod started to broadcast a message. “YOU WILL DIE COMMUNIST SCUM. IENCRAF WILL RISE AGAIN”. At the AWDAMS headquarters, panicked Ackoli officers were trying to make sense of the message. All Iencraf resistance bases had been captured, well at least all known bases. The militia was put on alert, but the tiny group of Iencraf loyalists came prepared. When a small military transport arrived to investigate the happenings, the loyalists sent in a single spy, masquerading as a survivor. As the militia descended onto the planet, the single spy prepared. He searched his skin for a tiny button attached to an implant inside of him, and pressed it. The spy ran to the landing pods, and pretended to beg for food and water, which he got. The spy stated that he wanted to go back to the Iencraf homeworld, and the unwary AWDAMS soldiers accepted, bringing him onto the pod, which flew up into orbit, and docked with the transport
ONE MONTH LATER
the militia transport docked to the space station orbiting the Iencraf home world, and the spy exited. As the militia transport left, the spy received a message from his tracking implant. “you know what to do, just go to the sewers and activate the plan. The other Iencraf patriots will seize control afterwards. Just remember, you are dying for the true fight”.
The spy listened to the message, and went onto one of the civilian transports, which ejected towards the surface. After landing, the spy got out to see his former capital completely changed. The Iencraf headquarters was a pile of rubble, and on top of it, some sort of spire was being constructed, with a huge red flag draped over it. The spy writhed in disgust, and ducked into an alleyway. He opened up a manhole leading to the sewers, put on his gas mask, and took out a small map that was given to him.
He followed the directions indicated on the map, till he came to a certain area under the sewers. The spy gulped, took out a detonator and activated it. A distant bang could be heard, then another, and another. Then the ground started shaking, as cracks appeared on the ceiling and the sewer started collapsing. The spy fell down, knocked unconscious by falling debris. The spy woke up seconds later, Paralysed and bleeding, as the sewer caved in around him. Distant screams could be heard, from civilians on the surface.
The Iencraf CEO screamed out “you can take my life!” a rock fell down, crushing the torso of the spy. “but you can never…” a wave of fire swept over the rubble, and more explosions could be heard in the distance. “take my…” the spy was losing consciousness. burned by the explosions and crushed by the rubble, this would be his last few seconds alive.
“money…” said the spy, as a huge chunk of concrete fell down on the spy’s head, instantly killing him. On the surface, the ground was collapsing into itself. Constant explosions could be heard underground, and the ground seemed to be shaking. Panicked civilians swarmed out of the city gates, as constant explosions collapsed the entire city into itself.
Skyscrapers collapsed into each other, and huge fires swept throughout the ruins. Any surviving civilians still inside the city were desperately trying to escape, but few did successfully. Eventually, the explosions stopped, and the city was left a pile of rubble. Deep within the centre of the ruined city, a manhole opened, and the remnants of the Iencraf military swept out.
Even for a group of defeated underground terrorists, the remnants where still powerful. They marched throughout the city, capturing any survivors and dragging them down into their lair. This event terrified SCIUD and the entire USCC, who sent in tens of thousands of militia to investigate the ruins and find the source. Of course, the Iencraf loyalists knew this would happen, so they rallied their forces to defend their reclaimed city.
As the numerous small militia groups explored the ruins, the loyalists activated their plan. Although only a few thousand loyalist troops emerged from the sewers, they were brilliantly trained and equipped with the most advanced gear Iencraf corporation had available before the revolutionary war. The loyalists opened fire on the militia, ambushing them, as machine gun bullets streaked into the lightly armoured militia, killing them quickly.
The SCIUDRAM militia panicked, and retreated, but they were too weak to escape the dedicated loyalist soldiers that were perusing them. As this was happening, hundreds of suicide drones flew out from manholes and sewer pipes all over the ruins, flying down into the dense militia and exploding, causing huge casualties. As this was happening, other groups of loyalists emerged from caves, sewers, and anywhere else around the planet that was hidden from SCIUD and opened fire.
The loyalists burnt down villages, killing any civilian who resisted, and enslaving the rest into their military. As Iencraf terrorists around the planet destroyed key military locations, enslaved or massacred civilians, and mowed down unprepared militia, the SCIUDRAM headquarters on the planet activated the evacuation warning. Millions of civilians in areas unaffected by the Iencraf coup rushed into huge shuttles, which launched into orbit and docked with the space station orbiting the planet.
Many of the shuttles did not make it, as they were shot down before they could even exit the atmosphere, exploding in flames. As panicked Ackoli and jafrak evacuated the planet, the Iencraf loyalists marched onto the SCIUD planetary headquarters. Any surviving militia in the base were burned alive as the loyalists placed barrels of flammable gas around the building, then set them alight. Military bases were captured and either used as bases for New Iencraf, as the Loyalists now called themselves, or repurposed into death camps for killing unwanted civilians or rebels.
Soldiers marched throughout the planet, and enslaved all civilians that had failed to evacuate. Rebels and surviving SCIUD militia around the planet responded, detonating nuclear warheads in areas that had been infested by New Iencraf forces. Within days, a once thriving world had been transformed into a war-torn wasteland, as civilians fought the advancing army with all their strength. Fires raged everywhere, and corpses lined the streets.
The militia fought as hard as they could, and aided by the civilians managed to hold back New Iencraf. This stalemate lasted months, as millions of communist militia and New Iencraf fought all over the planet in a devastating war. After months of brutal stalemate, a group of New Iencraf forces had decided on what to do. Centuries beforehand, Old Iencraf had installed nuclear bombs underground, and after years of searching for a means to activate them, a large underground hangar was found, containing the codes to detonate these nukes.
the surviving New Iencraf forces offered a treaty with the socialist revolutionaries, the terms of which were peace but only under the condition that New Iencraf could control a small continent surrounded by oceans. This decision was no accident, as this was the location of the hanger, and the only area which did not have nuclear warheads deep under its surface. As New Iencraf built up their infrastructure and defence in this new continent, their new government plotted the best time to activate the nukes.
TEN YEARS LATER
New Iencraf had doubled in population, and had created many cities and slums all over their continent. A huge wall was created on the border of the island-continent, and staffed with millions of slave-soldiers. New Iencraf was strong enough to withstand enemy invasion. And this was the time to activate their plan.
Tens of thousands of nukes detonated all over the world, killing many billions of civilians, as massive fires raged in the hearts of cities. the Iencraf home world was completely destroyed. Except for new Iencraf Capital, which was now a sprawling fortress. In the new capital, a huge project was under construction. New Iencraf scientists were creating an interstellar missile to destroy slineax island. A huge tank of deuterium/tritium attached to an Alcubierre drive, that would smash into the heart of the city at a third of the speed of light, vaporising the oceans of the planet and destroying most of SCIUD.
Around this time, The USCC, terrified of the event on Iencraf home world, sent in a few million militia in a transport ship. All of The USCC was put on high military alert. Militia who once thought the war had ended armed themselves, and civilians fortified their houses and stocked up on foods and weapons. Trade with non-USCC Powers was massively cut, and soldiers started patrolling the streets, in preparation for a New Iencraf strike.
As the USCC was militarising, New Iencraf continued on their project and expanded their infrastructure. New Iencraf was only a tiny nation-state with little over a billion population, and most of the population resented their rulers. As the slums expanded across the surface, and the population boomed at an extreme rate, violence and crime became common. Fires often started, and without a public fire service, killed many.
Back at Kepler62f, the Ackoli militia were preparing for battle. Millions of militia marched throughout slineax island, and huge anti-aircraft artillery mounts were placed on top of buildings, aiming at the sky. Spacestations started producing military transports at maximum capacity, as tens of millions of elite assault-militia packed up their stuff and headed towards the central space elevator.
Months passed, and New Iencraf terrorist attacks became common place around the galaxy. Nuclear silos were seized, and aimed at slineax island, and huge military spacecraft were filled with dedicated New Iencraf soldiers. Many colonies fell to New Iencraf, and the deaths were in the tens of billions as all opposition to the regime were executed. The USCC then activated the biggest invasion ever seen in their entire history.
A huge army of two-hundred and fifty million Elite militia, in 50 Massive five-km long carrier craft, each of them heavily armed, containing massive orbital lasers as well as millions of tanks & planes. After the militia were loaded onto the ships, they activated their drives. Days later, the 50 spaceships were launched from spacestations all around the territory of the USCC. The spacecraft loaded up their Alcubierre drives, and warped towards the New Iencraf homeworld.
At the Homeworld, New Iencraf detected strange blips, reminiscent of military spacecraft, and prepared to defend. The huge walls around the coast of their continent where fortified, and huge anti-ship missiles where prepared. But, deep Inside a huge bunker, a massive missile was being prepared to launch at the incoming spacecraft.
The USCC spacecraft appeared in orbit of the Iencraf homeworld, and they were greeted by a hail of anti-satellite missiles. Most of the missiles were vaporised by the lasers on board the spaceships, and the ones that got through were mostly deterred by the magnetic fields around the transport ships. Only a single missile got through both the lasers and the fields, and that missile struck into a habitat ring of one of the ships, partially destroying it and killing around half the soldiers on board. After the anti-satellite missiles were exhausted, The New Iencraf generals activated their surface-to-orbit lasers. The lasers were more effective than the missiles, as the USCC spacecraft had their hulls melt away by the extreme heat that came.
A single ship was struck in its warp drive, and it exploded in a massive thermonuclear blast, damaging around twenty other ships. The USCC spacecraft retaliated, activating their orbital lasers. On the surface of the New Iencraf homeworld, huge beams of red light struck into military bases, turning them into a heap of burning scrap. The slaves noticed the incoming invasion, and decided to rebel.
Riots started all other the continent, as New Iencraf police were pushed back. Deep within the sprawling mass of slums, a huge hatch on the ground began to open. The hatch slowly opened, and any slums built on it slid off, most of their occupants being killed, if not wounded. As the hatch opened, a huge missile was revealed inside of it. The missile shook, and smoke streamed out of the huge opening in the ground. The missile started to rise out of the ground, fire spurting out of its engines and vaporising nearby slums, as the missile slowly accelerated into the sky.
The Transport ships noticed this, and aimed their orbital lasers, and fired. the red streaks of light shot down from the spaceships, and burnt through the hull of the rocket. The missile continued to rise, past the streams of drop pods deploying into the planet, and out of the atmosphere. Gas seeped out of the wounds of the rocket, but it continued to fly. As the orbital lasers fired again, burning the hull of the rocket, millions of drop pods landed down all over the planet. Ackoli militia swarmed out of these drop pods, easily defeating any New Iencraf forces sent to counter them. New Iencraf swarmers defected as soon as possible, and their overseers were powerless to stop the huge mutinies all around the country. Only a single city managed to stand against the Huge invasion, the massive golden citadel off the coast. The elite Iencraf bodyguards held off against the aircraft carriers, Frigates, and destroyers sent to attack, and huge missile launchers mounted on the base spurted out hundreds of missiles, devastating the USCC navy with a hail of explosions. As the huge New Iencraf missile approached closer to its target, dripping with molten metal from the orbital lasers, the New Iencraf leadership in the citadel were trying to co-ordinate any loyal forces remaining. Their defences were strong and holding, but they could not hold forever. Their only hope was the missile, now a glowing ball in the sky surrounded by smoke, with red streaks of light speeding into it. As the New Iencraf officials planned their defences, an explosion was heard. The New Iencraf officials looked up, to see the missile surrounded by white smoke. The hull had been fully melted through, and now the highly unstable tritium stored inside the missile was steaming out of it. The remnants of the missile flew up a bit, before exploding in a plume of white gas. the USCC transports stopped shooting their orbital lasers, and began to warp. Seconds later, bright flashes appeared in the huge white cloud many kilometres above the surface. One of the USCC spacecraft started to distort, then vanished in a flash of light. A few more spacecraft quickly followed, and then the USCC militia began to run back to their drop pods, ran into their escape shuttles, and launched. As Escape shuttles launched into orbit in an attempt to escape, The New Iencraf CEO’s at the golden citadel ran into safehouses hidden deep within the fortress, and started to barricade themselves in. As USCC escape shuttles boarded transport ships, Civilians scrambled into caves or onto boats, and Iencraf CEO’s retreated to the golden citadel, the sky started to burn. The huge white cloud that now covered the entire sky burst into flames, and molten metal from the missile and any aircraft that was still in the air started to rain down from the sky. the remaining USCC transport ships activated their warps, flashing, then vanishing. A few of the transports malfunctioned due to the huge amounts of radiation from the other warps, and were destroyed, exploding into white fumes and debris, which flew towards the planet. On the surface, fire was raining down from the sky. the sky began crashing down to the surface, huge chunks of plasma burning through the atmosphere and smashing into the ground in a miniaturised nuclear explosion, as molten metal rained down from the sky. at the golden citadel, New Iencraf officials, bodyguards, and CEO’s waited it out. The golden plating around the citadel was melted by the flame falling from the sky, and seeped down into the mass of steam that used to be the ocean. Suddenly, a huge shape appeared through the burning sky. the USCC transport ships that were destroyed were falling down. A New Iencraf scout, wearing a flame-proof suit near the edge of the citadel, saw the huge lumps of burning metal, and ran down to the safehouse to alert the other New Iencraf personnel. Once warned, the New Iencraf officials ran towards a central tube, in which a small interstellar scout ship was stored. High ranking CEO’s, their families and their bodyguards, ran into the ship first, followed by Generals and soldiers. As the remnants of New Iencraf ran into the scout, the first of the Destroyed USCC spacecraft smashed into the ground. A huge explosion rippled throughout the continent, as the burning mass of plasma that used to be a spaceship burnt down through the crust of the planet, and finally cooled down in the mantle of the planet. New Iencraf noticed this, and closed the doors of their scout ship and launched. Any remaining New Iencraf officials in the fortress ran towards the escape shuttles inside the citadel, and jumped inside before launching. As the Scout ship flew through the burning sky, another USCC ship smashed into the huge crater, falling deep inside the planet. The scout emerged through the burning sky, and detected something interesting. One of the transport ships was emitting a distress signal. Somewhere within the mangled mess of plasma and molten missile, some of the crew was still alive. New Iencraf, being made up of psychopaths and narcissists, thought that this could earn them some profit or intel, so they decided to rescue whatever was inside the ship. They sent a tiny mining shuttle left inside the scout ship to investigate, and the shuttle. The shuttle used its tiny magnetic field to slowly push away the molten metal and plasma, and after a few hours, the shuttle managed to find an area that was still intact through all the plasma and lava. The shuttle used its laser to destroy the walls of this section, and sent a single New Iencraf soldier wearing an environmental suit inside. The interior was dark and silent, and the soldier turned their light on, so they could see. Strangely enough there was still oxygen in this hallway, so sounds could still be heard. Then suddenly, a metallic bang was heard. The Soldier turned around, and continued to walk through the hallways. As the soldier turned around a corner of the dark hallway, a thing jumped out. The thing was some sort of creature, covered with mouths, eyes, and limbs. The soldier jumped back in horror, and just managed to film the event. This creature was made up of multiple Ackoli that had been merged together in the heat and radiation, and somehow, it was alive. The abomination attacked the soldier, smashing it with some sort of appendage made up of corpses, and then suddenly stabbed it, and sucked out its internal organs. The creature ran towards the hole in the corridor where the mining pod had docked, and jumped in. the creature somehow managed to launch the pod, and set its co-ordinates to the New Iencraf Scout ship that was beginning to accelerate, noticing that the soldier was attacked by some sort of creature, and deciding to leave to be safe. The mining pod flew towards the scout ship, attached itself, and pierced the hull. The creature slipped out of the pod, and looked around. It was in some sort of storage bay, and a few New Iencraf bodyguards noticed its presence, and aimed their guns. The creature slivered towards the guards, who opened fire, with little effect. The creature grabbed one of the guards, whose machine gun bullets were seemingly absorbed the creature, and started to wrap itself around the bodyguard. The terrifying creature absorbed the bodyguard, and the other guards watched in horror as the creature opened its many mouths to speak. The creature said some unintelligible words, and ran towards the remaining guards. the other guards in the room screamed and ran, and opened the airlock of the cargo bay, ejecting the terrifying creature. The New Iencraf guards who survived the attack sighed in relief, and they watched as the creature fell into the burning cloud. They watched as the remaining USCC transport ships flew down through the atmosphere, and smashed into the surface. They watched as the ground started to shake, as the ruins of the transport ships sunk deep within the core, and exploded in a huge thermonuclear explosion. They watched as the surface of the planet collapsed, before bursting out in a wave of plasma and lava. They watched as the entire planet exploded in a ten-thousand-kilometre-long fireball.
New Iencraf had killed countless billions. And the USCC was angry. Hundreds of billions were dead. Huge amounts of USCC resources were wasted. and New Iencraf was unpunished. The USCC armed their interstellar missiles, all of them prepared to launch at the sight of the New Iencraf scout ship and in the more authoritarian USCC civilizations, captured New Iencraf CEO’s were quickly executed for mass genocide.
At the Iencraf Scout ship, the surviving officials decided what they should do next. They set their sights to a distant small colony, owned by a tiny SCIUD power made up of jafrak. The scout ship warped towards the colony, and appeared in orbit. Soon afterwards, a group of a few hundred New Iencraf guards got into one of the tiny shuttles on board the ship, and the shuttle ejected, and thrusted retrograde until its path ended in a collision course directly on the tiny colony. Down at the colony, a small radar dish detected an object entering the atmosphere, with signals very similar to Iencraf Encrypted communications. The tiny militia stationed on the colony activated the planetwide alarm, and the hundred-thousand residents of the colony began to evacuate to the series of makeshift bunkers around the city. A small anti-aircraft missile battery, being the colonies main defence, was activated, and launched a barrage of around ten missiles at the shuttle, now only a few kilometres above the surface. Most of the missiles missed, although one exploded very close to the shuttle, tearing the outer hull. As the shuttle descended, the colony militia of around one thousand jafrak was deployed. After a few minutes, the moderately large shuttle landed in the town, and the highly trained Jafrak guards jumped out, and opened fire on the militia. Being untrained civilians, the militia were powerless to resist, and they quickly retreated, leaving the New Iencraf bodyguards free to capture the city. Suddenly, the scout ship in orbit above them opened its hatches, and what looked like a jafrak was thrown out, and then the scout ship warped away at maximum speeds. It managed to give a single message to the guards at the surface before it warped, the message being “There is some kind of… thing on this ship… remember that monster? Kind of like that. But it looks like one of us. we managed to capture it, and we are about to eject it. We need to leave now before it escapes! Sorry, but we don’t know what it will do once it arrives on the planet…” . The guards stationed on the planet turned around as something fell on the grass behind them. A jafrak with a parachute was standing there. But it was not a jafrak. Its eyes were blood red, and it was stained with blood. The guards aimed their weapons, but it was too late. The creature knocked out the guards with unnatural ease. Minutes later, the guards woke up. They had changed, and the only thought that went through there heads was rage. They had become like the monster, and now all they wanted was to spread their condition and consume...
