So, with all the screw ups around spore, and all games released since John Riccitiello took office have been major disappointments. Is it time for EA to get a new CEO?? Perhaps one who cares about what the customer wants?

VOTE PLEASE!!

Like a stockholder, it won't mend everything, but it'd restore faith for me alittle bit to see a head roll.

There's already lawyers involved. Assassins won't get close now.

If you want a real vote, buy some stock.

Business exist simply to make money. The people that work in them might have better reasons. Spore has a long life ahead of it, right now its just a core of the vision. Hopefully it will go in directions that no expected.

The ability for the players to build the contents of thier own games is great, I hope it bleeds over to other games. Full fledge RTS's that allow building your own units and building. RPG's with user supplied monsters. SPore has shown one thing, the users can make quality in-game objects that rivals and exceeds staff artists. The only needs now are better tools to sort the gold from the crap.

There's already been dozens of those. I can provide names if you like. I'd have to look some of them up though, as they're pretty ancient now.

None of them had as user freindly editors as Spore Does. Yes the mod community is alive and well. It will be interesting what Big Little Planet does with its chared user creations.

I hope he's not one of those post-modern "damage company, make gobs of money, get payed to leave" types. Or gullible. Obviously someone somewhere along the line is falling for the tactics of the DRM salesmen hook, line, and sinker.

Well I don't know enough to know if it IS his fault, but I know that when Sony started acting idiotic a little while back, they changed up their management and suddenly it was like logic returned. So perhaps a change would be for the best. If so, I doubt he'll complain too much. CEOs get payed severance packages that almost make taking the job in the first place worth it. (Which is idiotic and stated to change at this point, but it'll take a while and I can't blame them for liking it.)

Hey Joe, you mind sharing some of the names of those RTS with me?

Earth 2150/2160 are 2, REALLY old, and kind of crumby by today's RTS standards in almost every other sector though.

While stocks are certainly an important factor, there is no "equal" vote in such a circumstance. It's based on votes per shares, so one person could have 100 votes, and another have only 1.

Perhaps it's time the market evolved? Is it possible that a meld could occur between consumer and producer?? If customers could vote out a CEO and request someone more intune with their desires, could that result in higher profits??

EA should just go away completely. Cease and desist. Break up into groups and form smaller companies and stop the monopoly of greed.

The story so far:
In the beginning, the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people mad and been widely regarded as a bad idea.
