I assume this game takes money when connecting on-line.

How does this work, is it a standard connection charge or is it time/data dependant?

Huh? No, the online service is free. . . You should just be able to make a profile and hook up to the Sporepedia.

Free dialup from a mobile!?

Since when was THAT part of the deal?!

SPORE Origins “connected” versions (the ones that connect directly to the server on the users handset) uses data, similar to when the user is surfing the net on their handset.

Online charges vary by carrier and by the user’s specific mobile plan so they should consult their carrier for specifics.

Am I right when I assume that the "Social Gladiator" achievement is only available in the "connected" versions?

You need to add friends in a certain Arena buddy list, which doesn't seem to exist on the Origins homepage or anywhere else.

Yes, Social Gladiator is an achievement that can only be received through the connected version via handset.

This is a known issue we are looking to address.

Maybe you could just add a buddy list system on the Origins page.

I think it costs a dollar to down load it onto your computer, my dad tried it and it cost a dollar every time, but you better off buying the game, we downloaded it and it wouldent work, buy the game insted, that's what worked for us.
