Welcome to Ruthless Galaxy! An RP/Adventure club, with an expanded universe of characters, planets, events taking place in the distant galaxy of Ravena. We are always welcoming new members, to add to the many awesome empires inhabiting Ruthless Galaxy! Here in the recruiting office you can enter your race with the sheet template below. As well as the recruiting office here we have enlisted the services of both a Xat chatbox, a private forum, and a wiki where after joining you'll store all the information on your race so others can learn about them.
Please follow the rules set below to prevent thread derailing, and, importantly, have fun!
Events since the beginning of the Ruthless War (Abridged)
A ruthless and dictactorial empire, rose up under the leadership of a once persecuted, and then scarred Jadel named Kradus. He organized the Dominion, and was the ruler of the majority of races under the Dominion. Seeking power, he attacked any empires that denied his leadership. This was a mistake that would result in the downfall of the Dominion, and the death of himself.
The Jorro'kil Free Absolute, a vast empire emerging from the third arm of Ravena, the galaxy which Ruthless Galaxy mainly takes place in, were originally created by an advanced civilization known as the Intragalactic Krathunian Covenant of Sethega, as part of a scientific experiment. At the apex of the Covenant's glory, when the Jorro'kil began to conquer those around them, the Krathunians were brought down by the Dominion. They fled, seeking asylum in uncharted areas of the galaxy. In other parts of Ravena, new empires were advancing as well, each becoming more powerful in their own ways.
The Jorro'kil eventually met the Dominion, which sparked a massive war between them, and the Dominion's chief race, a parasitic life form known as the Karthla. Eventually, on a world known as Skorge, a powerful blue Orb, a ball of stabilized, infinite energy, was discovered. Kradus believed that this orb could grant him immortality, and sought out its power. The JFA (Jorro'kil Free Absolute) had been able to gain new allies, and this conglomerate of civilizations eventually organized themselves into the Third Arm Confederacy. The leader of the Dranzoot, one of the races within this, had a vision of the orb and what Kradus could accomplish with it. Acknowledging this, the leaders of the TAC agreed to assemble a team of Zealots, noble warriors ready to fight to prevent the Orb from falling into Dominion hands. They found the orb, and defeated Kradus who also was there, taking the orb back with them.
Eventually, after many events, another Orb, this one red, granted the user invisibility. They retrieved this one as well, angering Kradus much. The TAC eventually broke up, and the Jorro'kil, upon encountering the United Ryun-Wreae Federation of the Ieegan Systems, and the Forlarm, formed a new alliance, this one known simply as the Confederacy. These events led to Kradus's final battle, and death, at the hands of JFA Emperor Whoster. This victory did not last long, as the Emperor was in turn assassinated by a Karthla Major. His death was avenged by Confederate soldiers. However, an empire composed of machines, the United Fleets of Independent Artifical Intelligences, or UFIAI for short, wanted the orbs to provide infinite energy for them, among other reasons, and promptly declared war on the Confederacy, attacking them on the same battleground on which Kradus had been killed. The forces of the Confederacy won the ensuing battle, though a new war had been sparked.
The Krathunians, aware of the Dominion's fall, finally encountered the Jorro'kil after reclaiming their old worlds, and allied with their creations under the Confederacy. The war against the UFIAI continues in the current story, with new empires being discovered on both sides.

Any physical features you'd like to point out? Any internal or external characteristics you'd like us to know?
Optional. What religion do your people follow?
Include the complete history of your race. Be sure to include as much info as possible. We need these little details to get the best image of your race. Be creative!
What do your people like to do in their spare time? What do they like to eat? How do they dress? What kind of places do they like to go to? Explain everything please!
Describe your peoples' military, if any. This is CRUCIAL to the sheet and needs to have as much information as possible. Flesh it out completely.

Race Entry and Standards
1. Your race cannot be too powerful. By this we mean it overpowers the others. Your race can have great strengths if you wish, however it must also have a weakness so that there is a way of defeating them.
2. Regeneration is allowed. However there must be some way to stop the process or prevent it.
3. Magic is not allowed, however you can have some sort of physical or technical reaction that may appear to be magic yet can be explained scientifically. And by magic we dont mean "harry potter" magic, we mean a strange ritual or some sort of voodoo-like thing. Not wizardology.
4. Infectious specimens are allowed but must have some way to stop the infection.
5. Your empire can be as wealthy as you please. It can also be as poor as you want. It is up to you.
6. We recommend that even if you enter a weak empire, you give it some strengths so that it does not end up in the Extinct Empires category.
7. You are required to make an archive of your race in the Private Forum when you enter them, AFTER they are accepted.
8. After entering your race, you CANNOT proceed until the sheet is accepted by a Moderater or Administrater.
9. If possible, videos advertising Ruthless Galaxy on YouTube would be much appreciated.
We here at RG are pretty flexible about the look and personality of your race. However there are certain standards that you have to follow in order to join.
If your race does not exactly fit in around here we may ask you to change a few little things, just to help your people fit in.
Be sure to be creative, we love unique races with unique aspects. Our most favorite races, are the kinds that have been created previously, and not specifically for this club. A great variety of those races certainly makes for an interesting mix.
Superweapons are allowed and indeed wanted here in RG. However spore superweapons lack in all ways possible, both in realism and in awesomeness. Superweapons that are allowed here are things that are unique and powerful. The ability to destroy a planet is allowed, however not at all considered a planet buster, and limits to the abilities of the superweapon must be instituted.
Inspiration is always a good place to start. Get some ideas from other creatures and races from places like Sporepedia, StarCraft, Halo, or any other great place you can think of. Get a good idea of something to create. However, in no way at all should you potentially rip-off another person’s race unless given permission by said person. If you are given permission to use references to the person’s ideas, we the moderators must be able to contact this person in our chatbox to ensure proof.
We of RG absolutely love the idea of regeneration ability; however in some cases regeneration causes OPing, over overpowering. If your race has this ability, note that there are boundaries. There must be some way to stop the regeneration, and there must be a way to kill the specimen altogether. The moderators will tell you if you are overpowering it or if you are underpowering your race.
Please, do not underpower your race. We don’t like to see a slew of races in the Extinct Races section of our wiki. Underpowering your race can and indeed may very well result in awkward events where they are confronted with an overwhelming threat. Every once in a while it’s ok to let a race die out, however we don’t like it to happen all of the time. If you’ve created a race made especially for the club that is not at all important at all, then you are more than welcome to kill them off. However in some cases with an original race made on your own without our influence we do not urge you to carry out the hatchet so quickly.
Ruthless Galaxy is not at all entirely a war club. We also develop cultures and characters; we work with philosophies and interact with each others’ races. We have a great mingling system working out right now and our races certainly have some interesting encounters. We do enjoy the warlike storylines quite a bit, and in fact love those shades of conflict, however developing their cultural and social distinctions is encouraged to a large degree.
Remember your race can have as much war involvement as you wish. They can be involved in the wars or not. If they are not involved that much, than please remember to help progress them and their ways as much as possible. If you are not involved in the war groups than please build them up in our culture projects. Would you like a negotiation with another race? Some sort of trade or compromise? Just ask another member willing to do so with their race and you’ll be able to do some great mingling.
No matter how isolated your people are you are still obligate to intermingle with other races. No matter how isolated you have obligations to interject with plots, stories, or just plain old situations.
Once you join, it is not only encouraged but required to create a storage for your race's information, or an archive, to store any and all compilations of information on them*. You'll be given a link to the Ruthless Galaxy private Forum once you join, which contains an Empire section where you can post your race's archives. Remember, if you're not immediately able to start on your archives, you may simply submit your race entry sheet, and work on that. We also have a wiki for these purposes.
Things your archive must include
Yes, we have standards for the archives as well. However these standards are nothing you need to worry about. In your archive you must include:
•A description of your race
•A biology section describing the bodily structure of your creatures, their organs and bodily functions, and reproduction.
•A history section showing a very detailed segment on your race’s history from the beginning of their evolution/creation. Be sure to list how they were created or evolved.
•A VERY detailed section about the race’s culture and society. Be sure to include how family life is, how the people live, what they like to eat, what their daily activities are, what they do for a living, things they like, things they hate, why they dress the way they do, and all of these little details that will help us get how your race is. This will really help us get to know your race and will help us shape and recreate what you usually make in adventures.
•Be sure to include how your race is involved in the war (if at all).
•This is completely optional but a good archive always has a Notable Figures section depicting the great overseers of your race. These figures include generals, commanders, emperors, and even just general characters that may seem famous or that you’d just like to point out
•Be sure to include a summary at the beginning of your race's page.
*The safe thing to do is to save your page in your general word processing program in case for some reason it gets deleted.
Roleplaying in the Ruthless Galaxy Private Forum is one of the main ways of advancing the ongoing story in the galaxy of Ravena.
All RPs are generally going to be literate RPs. Literate RPs require good sentence structure and no five word posts or anything like that. All RPs have rules and structures to make sure no ridiculousness runs rampant, and should have good communication to make the story interesting and maintained.
RPing is not required, however. Making adventures (If made with other people's empires, ask them if you can use their empire first) is another way of advancing the story and a fun addition to the many of the features of Ruthless Galaxy.
Here in RG you are to respect other people's races, even if they need a little work, insulting them will simply earn you a dislike, and if it is kept up a suspension will be given to you.
Flaming, Spamming and Trolling
Highly disliked and restricted here at Ruthless Galaxy, these three things can cause many problems with a thread. Moderaters, and if on here, SporeMasters, will be alerted if they start to put a quick end to them. Ignoring flaming, spamming and trolling is the best way to deal with them.
Do not talk back to someone attempting to flame-bait you, or in other words coax a nasty response out of you simply for their own enjoyment, you will be held equally responsible as the flame-baiter.
Thread and General Rules
1. No trolling, spamming, flamming, ect.
2. No discussing sexual topics
3. No fighting or arguing. Have fun.
4. You need to be able to be active in the club for atleast a month after joining, preferably much longer.
