Ok, i decided to make this thread because im sorry, but i have HAD IT with the trolls, the downraters, and the mass-uprating of the crappiest creations!!! We need to give those who deserve it, that credit and spotlight again. What happened to all the amazing, beautiful, detailed, eye-catching creations that were always on top? The ones that inspired us, the ones that we enjoyed? That's right, u guessed it, trolls happened. These creations were all downrated for NO GOOD REASON! Then what did the trolls do? That's right, they uprated the ugliest, most unimaginitive creations i've ever seen! So, my fellow true Sporians, will you help out those who need the help, will u help your idols, inspiration, and favorite creators/creations get back to the top?!

For Us To Make This Happen, Here's What We Need to Do:

~Leave a reply, with your feelings about the MPN and this idea
~Leave a reply with pictures and links to your favorite creations/creators at the moment, or of all time. Then, if other people like the same creation/creator, quote the original reply. Then, if enough people like the creation/creator, i will add it to the thread as "featured". This means, that i'm referring this creation for everyone to look at and uprate, thus, almost automatically, getting onto the MPN (go tthe hang of this idea so far?)
~Leave a reply if you know anyone who is trolling or downrating. Then, we can all take em down (mwahaha)
~Uprate creations u enjoy, tell your buddies about them, it will really help in the long-run/downrate the ones u ACTUALLY don't like, not just to make someone feel bad

Ok idea, but it seems to me that good creations usually get on the MPN anyway. A bigger problem is upraters and there's really no way we moral Sporians can combat uprating without becoming downraters.

Trash has always gotten on the MPN, and as long as I have been on Spore there have been purple and gray blobs uprated to the top spot.

It was harder in the past, since there were creators out there with active followings in the thousands, and more with many hundreds. The clubs also bolstered mass uprating of the people they supported.

I'm not calling foul on anyone here, that's just the way it worked.

But even at the peak of the MPN meaning something, when the top slots were Himmel, Ursidae, Foto, Slarti, KrackenMK, and quite a few of the people who are still here (including me), it still only took about 40 votes to get you on the front page and a hundred or so to net one of the top 5. That's not very many.

OK, I never thought it was worth that much. I did it to see how hard it was and then when I figured out it wasn't (even with the above names playing) I stopped paying attention and just kept playing.

I think that ego worship tied to the dubious worth of making the top of the MPN lead to right where we are now, with a little clique of people who are pathologically invested in staying as the "gods" (LMAO) of the MPN.

Sorry, I'm not going to play, even to knock them down. Attrition, school work and life will do that for me. And in the meantime, I'm not going to care any more about the MPN than I ever have. Which is not very much.

Please do not discuss manipulation of the MPN.

We are all aware that it happens, but at this late date in the game's life cycle the MPN has little meaning.
