I've gotten back into spore recently, and I want to have it so nothing made by anyone but myself and maxis gets into my game, because it completely ruins the game for me when I'm going along in creature stage, and an epic "man with hat" tries to come and step on me! I'm getting annoyed with running into art instead of creatures, is there any way to block all online content?

Yes. Its called logging off.

If you've already downloaded shared creations, you have no choice but to go through your Sporepedia and delete them all. I'd delete all of the artwork-creations in my game if I could, but I've got 99,000 creations in my game overrall.

You can also turn off random downloads by settings 'Buddy Content Only' under Options.

Yes. Buddy-only with no buddies. Game will then populate with your creations first, then Maxis.

You still can get some horrible epics that way... I mean, Maxis creatures epicized are not all that wonderful either.

You might want to look at some people who have similar taste to you and buddy a couple of them. For instance, antipyrene makes creations I really enjoy (playable, believable alien ecologies) and mostly covers all the hierarchy slots in the game (the ones used to populate the creatures, not the space stage ones).
