Here is some facts:

Maxis is currently busy with a SimCity sequel.
The Spore Engine took ages and a lot of money to create.
DarkSpore is not Spore.

Personally I believe Spore is a great concept and I would love to see it being made even better.

No probably not, don't get me wrong I'd LOVE to see a Spore two but its been three year's unless Maxis is trying to beat the eight year's Value took to make Half-life two there isn't going to be a Spore two. At lest there's a VERY VERY low chance there will ever be a spore two.

No... just no. So many threads like these...

But some, like Davo, are able to so heavily mod the original game so as to make it be an new game.

Vanilla Spore wouldn't have kept me around, seeing the stuff I can do with Davo's mods changes the whole game.

And really, the original is loose enough for each player to approach it from a different premise.

Only one mod that davo made screwed up my game save. That piece of crap dark injection! I don't use any of the mods. I have followed the instructions with the mod and still messed my game saves.

So I took it out. Game works fine without the mods.

I ain't stupid to put a real pic of our self's on here.

Yeah, Darkspore was supposed to be a Spore spin-off from what I gather. Seeing it didn't do as well as Maxis might have planned, they probably won't do much with the original Spore game..

Had Darkspore done really well, perhaps they would have done more with Spore or created another game like it.

But who needs a Spore 2? Davo has practically made Spore into his own game with all the mods he's created..

Funny.... I use Dark Injection and have used all of Davo's mods.

Put them on, played with them, took them back off. No problems AT ALL.

But then, I run the games from five different machines on one computer too. That's five complete Spore images, not the 4 alt accounts or something silly like that.

You can screw up almost anything if you try hard enough. So far, Davo's mod have been extremely solid for people. I've only heard one person saying that they "screwed up" their game.

The odds are very good that if you follow Davo's instructions, are familiar with basic windows OS and PC concepts, and are reasonably careful to back things up, you'll have ZERO problems with Davo's mods.

No. Not gonna happen. Sad, though, because it's release will bring more people on here and spore will be active again. But no, it could die very soon. Not nice, since I only got the game in early '11 and joined the Sporum in late '11.
