I know there have probably been hundreds of threads like this before but there haven't been any time soon! Might as well bring back some good old fails!

This thread is a lot like the funniest spore thing thread only it's for things you have failed at in Spore, and fails that are funny and can be laughed at without any harm being done.

My fail happened a while ago while playing creature stage;

My creature died while I was trying to take over an enemy nest. Well when I respawned at my nest, when I hatched from the egg, I was dead. I couldn't move and I was glitching through the ground. That save didn't work out too well.

I have a second, yet common, fail as well:

Started a new game; cell stage went perfectly. But.... During the climb to land animation at the end of cell stage, there was a.... Slight... Problem. No land... Heh. I was forever stuck in the water and everytime I tried to go to land I got eaten by a big monster.... Lol. I knew the save was screwed so I used some cheats to get enough DNA to make my creature look like a water creature just for the lolz.

So, got any fails that happened to you and are worth sharing?

Once during creature stage during the mateing cutscene, where they are supposed to dance, my two creations just kinda stared at eatchother and I had to quit out of Spore and start over.

Once I was in creature stage with one of my creatures. I was trying to kill a creature that was invisable. No pic on the card and I was fighting the air. Now that was a fail glitch.

I've had a couple of strange things and weird fails.
I remember once, making an adventure, a normal building interior prop seemed to teleport everyone to the ground below.
Once, when playing an adventure, I managed to get stuck in a plant in the same way that some captains get stuck in buildings. To add insult to injury: I was trying to get the best time possible on that adventure.
As for in-game, I don't really remember any, since it's been ages since I've played. Of course, Sarah Palin did once abduct my pets. And when I first [played the space stage, I accidentally terraformed a planet from T1 to T2 to T3 and then back to T1 because I kept making the atmosphere thicker. I also rage quit that time when an allied planet had an eco disaster and I didn't know what to do because I though that they meant economical, not ecological disaster.

In space stage I was once on a invisible planet... but you could still see the plants and inhabitans... they were like floating characters!

You can spawn in the sea & be eaten whenever you try to approach the shores.

I've seen it happen.

I just remembered a couple more, both from the space stage. One was when I got a mission from and empire to find a certain kind of spice, but I already had it in my cargo bay, so I completed the mission immediately. And when I contacted again moments later, the guy in the comm screen said, "What took you so long?"
Another one was when I was sent to go find a creature. When I returned, the guy said, "Is that a scratch? What's this? Some chipped paint? A dent?" or something like that.

One of my Spore fails was when I started the SporeApp.exe, the intro played about 10 times faster than it usually does. XD

Another Spore fail was when I saw two early creatures in Creature Stage on top of each other, and it looked like they were "doing it".

I remembered another time where if I was on land in creature stage, it read me as swimming and had ripples of water around my creature. Then, in the water, it was land. If I got to far onto land I would get eaten. I ended up having to exit the game without saving.

The biggest fail my game ever had was the fail when for whatever reason I got like 5 epics all around my nest going around marauding like crazy.

Biggest fail moment of my Spore life-


I was doing a mission for the Grox. I retrieved what they wanted (forgot what mission it was and what I needed to fetch), came back to the planet and talked to them. They started speaking in their computerized voice and then, right as they were about to say the "999 horse" quote, the game glitched and got stuck on 9. Thus, they kept saying 999999999999999999999~ over and over again. I have to eventually shut the game off.

A Zealot empire asked me to abduct some heathens who are inferior scum or something like that. I checked the planet in question and found that it was one of my own colonies.

First time patching.

When I met the 0sama bin Laden empire in space stage...
