Welcome to the Notable Creator's Alliance fellow forum browser! Here, creators of all ages, whether they are new or old players, can come together in one huge creating discussion! We help each other in creating all sorts of things from puny cell creatures to immense space vessels. If you're an average player who simply likes to play the game, then we can aid you with clever techniques on how to spice up your gameplay experience. If you are more of a creator than anything else, you may gain interest for the ideas we share.
You'll have to follow our simple, easy to understand rules first.
NCA DOs:

-Use correct capitalization, punctuation, spelling,
and grammarAS BEST AS YOU CAN.
I can distinguish writing without caps or
punctuation from "as best as you can".

-Double-post, or least try not to. If it's an
accident, then chill and don't worry about it
-Quote long posts, or at least try not to.
If you want to quote a piece of a long post, then
trim the quote first, please. Thank you.
-Talk in text language! It gets on many members'
nerves! It won't be healthy for your typing habits
nor your karma bar!
-Get too off topic. We don't want 70% of
the posts being something completely irrelevant to
the thread and the other 30% having a reasonable
discussion.
-Violate the Forum Guidelines
Our ranks of the group are determined by how many rank points, or RPs for short, you have. The higher your rank is, the more group abilities you have. And the more abilities you have, the more responsibilities you have!
Do NOT abuse the power to copy and paste the signatures by yourself! If you do, you'll get an automatic warning!

Associate: 100-149 RPs
Comrade: 150-349 RPs
Chapter: 350-699 RPs

How to Earn Points
Gosh, slow down there Speedfreak, you're drooling and smacking your lips due to your thirst for more knowledge!
So you lust to be informed about the wonders of the Rank System? It may seem like child's play, but it's much more complex than you presume.
It's not simply a number that decides how popular you are. You must reach that number yourself.
But HOW?!
I'm glad you asked. There are many manageable solutions to acquiring RPs. You're probably pondering, "But she just said that it was complex!" -Yes, I did. The ways of obtaining the RPs is basic, but it's how extensive the amount of time is to complete the same tasks over and over again that give you the points. Get better every time and the quantity of points you get will flourish.
You Can:
-Give detailed, mature critique to others and their creations. This means to clearly specify the flaws in the creation and how they can improve. This does NOT give you the right to give critique just to insult the author! Also compliment them on what they DID do well, not just what they may have done poorly on. Saying something as simple as "I like it" or "I don't like it" will give you little or no points. The amount of RPs you get here varies on how great your critique was.
-Get featured! We are NOT talking about being featured at spore.com. We're talking about getting a creation, set, adventure, or work of art featured here at the NCA! Each feature is worth a mind-blowing 500 RPs! Being featured often will be a major advantage to how many points you get!
-Win contests! Win contests often and you'll be swimming in a pool of RPs! Check out the Contest Corner to learn more about contests.
-Participate in contests. Yes, even sending at least one entry for a contest will give you points. Check out the Contest Corner to learn more about contests.
-Sponsor the NCA! That's right kiddies, yaseewutididthar? If you own a group and you Sponsor the NCA, you get 75 RPs! If you make a creation advertising the NCA, you get 20 RPs. IMPORTANT NOTE: Making a group merely to get more Rank Points will NOT help. Your group must be ACTIVE for AT LEAST 1 month in order to be counted.

Welcome to the Features of the Month section! Here, one specific creation or one specific set will be featured each month! Each feature is worth 500 RPs! Get more features and you'll be rolling through the ranks in no time!
Gnaidebite by DragonFish (Nay-De-Bite) The Gnaidebite is a truly peculier creature. For that massively impressive mouth it only feeds on small rodents and fish. The impressive bony display is merely for territorial fighting.
This creature truly has a "bug" feel to it! The thorax is extremely thin much like a flea and the plating was placed perfectly to give it an exoskeleton look. All of this is topped off with the perfect paint to match its skin with its habitat. Well done, and congrats on the first feature ever, Mini Watto!

Here we have the Adventure Exploration section! If you'd like an adventure advertised, ask an Assistant, Director, or Skipper. Your adventure must not have any Bot Parts or custom Spore mods. If they like it, then it'll be featured here til the end of the month! So if you want your adventure to stay up for the longest time possible, then submit it early in the month. If you submit it late, then it may be only up for a few days.

You've reached the Group Activities section! Here, there is a Request Table where you can place requests or set times when you can accept requests, a video and music subsection where members can post trailers and songs, and a Creator's Choice creating tips subsection for posting the best Spore tips you know!
To place a request, tell me and I'll post it to the Hanging Requests table. Please be as specific as you can with requests. Specify if it's a prop, set, or single creation along with if it's a creature, space vessel, aircraft, land vehicle, sea vehicle, city hall, house, factory, or entertainment building. List the "style" you'd like your request to be in as well.

To upload music, you will have to go to (Documents > My Spore Creations > CityMusic), select the song you'd like to share and then upload the file to a file sharing website such as MediaFire (although MediaFire requires you to sign up). Then, upload the picture to a website like Photobucket to make a clicky-pic of the song to the download site.
This also goes for downloading songs. Download the file and then move it to (Documents > My Spore Creations > CityMusic).
What's this you ask? It's where members (and even non-members) may post what they know best about any creator or gameplay hints! If you'd like to submit a tip, PM me! Note that the tip must not be one already posted on the Tip Board. Also, do not post more than one at a time. Wait til someone else posts another tip after you or at least wait 24 hours until you post another tip.

When building vehicles, you'll do best if you spend a bit of time scaling and stretching the parts. The basic cube is your best friend. You can place shapes on it and put it inside of the vehicle to make the parts partially obscured by the vehicle. This can give you all new shapes you may not have known about before.

When in the outfitting editor, try to not use very many hats or body parts. Usually I just use shoulders and symbols and details, because they're cost effective and fairly easy to manipulate. Just add some details and you should be good to go!

A little bit of gun goes a long way! Covering your vehicles with nothing but guns makes it look unprofessional. For a steady supply of military power, use one or two powerful guns and size them down, or use weapons for detailing. 'Fortune Hunter' is a great example, seeing as they can be used for exhausts and antennae.

To make "rings" or "loops" around a creature's body while outfitting them, grab a bolt to begin with. Place a Tinker Ticker part on top of it. Then, rotate the Tinker Ticker using the Tab key by 90 degrees. Rotate the bolt by 180 degrees so it interferes with the body of the creature. Adjust the bolt and the Tinker Ticker to your pleasure. Now you've got professional-looking rings.

A well known and common tip, but with the right paint applications if you place multiple Hey Corns on a creature, they can appear to glow.

Before saving a creation, set the all graphics options to high (or the highest option that your computer can handle). This will make the PNG look great! Thus, you attract more viewers, getting more fame! All by simply clicking a few buttons!

If you want to rotate a body part in the building editor, you'll know that just holding "tab" dosn't work. Instead, simply put the body part (or roof part) onto a connector, then rotate the connector. Once you're happy with the position of the part, use CTRL to move the body part away from the connector, then delete the connector. Voila, one rotated body.

When creating buildings, the ctrl and shift keys are your best friends. Selecting a piece and clicking "ctrl" locks the piece horizontally; it can only go up and down. Shift does the exact opposite.

Detach the bottom joint of the "Bugleg" leg to make a simple yet epic leg for any insectoid. No foot required, it'll walk on its own! Note that you'll need the exoskeleton parts in order to do so.

This section is for all of the NCA artists! Here, members may post their finished (but doesn't have to be colored) Spore fanart! There's also the Featured Masterpiece of the Month section where one submitted piece of artwork is featured, just like the Features of the Month section! And yes, each feature in this section is also worth 500 RPs just like any other feature!
