The concerned citizens of the Kaminote empire wish to know how the DOW drop will affect them. Should we hoard our spice in hopes of a better future or should we sell out before the bottom drops off?

No, just blow all of it on bad deals, then hope your homeworld will bail you out with a few hundred billion sporebucks.

I suggest loaning out all of your purple spice to colonies making 1,000 or less sporebucks a month.

You can always count on the homeworld's generosity towards billionaire Spice traders.

you could always buy a house you can't afford with a special loan

since houses appreciate you will gain money (makes perfect sense)

It will encourage investment in green spice technology.

I believe the main cause for this economic turmoil is our reliance on foreign colony packs.

Worry more about the S&P, and percentage loss. 700B should do it. I've been investing heavily in Purple. Expecting a Spode bailout any day now.

The real problem here is that it is cheaper to let other galaxies do all the spice mining for your homeworld. You guys need to stop outsourcing your colonies and start producing your own so you can generate more jobs and more revenue for yourselves instead of sending it all to foreign races who don't even worship Spode.

It's Spode that got us into this in the first place!

I consider myself an economics and trade routes expert. It would be prudent at this time to sell a large amount of your red/yellow spice, and hold out for another quarter. Then, should the DOW drop further, sell everything in a bad deal just to break even.

I firmly believe in Homeworld-made colony packs and Creature tweakers. It's those Grox coming over the borders, taking over our factories. That's why we should stop buying other empire's goods!

As long as Space Captains are compensated hugely for taking risks with other people's SporeBuck, and do not suffer equally on the downside, then those risks will inevitably become outragous. If there's a way for someone to make SporeBuck by beam-up our spice boxes, he will. In Spodes. So where's next? And, most importantly, what should be done. To get to the root of the matter, we have to address the bad side of greed. We know from Spode and Steve that greed can be good. Greed makes us travel the Galaxy; it make people risk the Grox that ultimately lead to colonial or military advances. But the greedy must also face the consequences of taking those risks -- no more Golden Spaceships whenever stupid Space Captains ran-a-gauntlet towards the Center of the Galaxy. Let them pay for a brand-new ship with their own SporeBuck!

Just use your spice to invest in more mavericks.

Relax, you only have to worry if you're trading with Earth AND are either a diplomat or economist. If you fall into that category, quickly stop making payments on your spaceship, mortgage, credit cards, and loans so that you may be bailed out. As a spaceship captain, you are privy to the elite group of people who will see part of that $850 billion bailout unlike those poor saps footing the bill from their quaint houses driving their pathetic little automobiles back and forth to work and/or school. How insignificant. Too bad they didn't demand the $850 billion turn into $450,000 for every taxpayer like it would theoretically break down to.
