The Balloonicites and Avios expressed interest in the Shizz-Shling's idea, and asked for information as to what it was.

They also said they would be glad to collaborate with the Mikilo in whatever project they were planning.

Drakons

OOC: Huzzah! Luke is back! Now I have incentive; this thing might slowly get up and running again.
OOC2: Thanks for coming back Tedbear, we always need posters.

IC: The Drakons like the idea; it will make light of problems that need to be addressed. They agree to take place in the program.

The nano program has found a way to make a light mesh of platinite and carbon, which makes a light plate that is not as strong as platinite, but is a lot lighter. It is also cheaper. They create this as there has been a big blockage of platinite productions - nobody knows why, but the molten platinite that should go to the final super-fast cooling facility has been chilled prematurely, resulting in blockages in many factories. Once cooled, especially when in gigantic walls like most cases, it is extremely hard to re-melt; requiring a plasma cannon at least.

Due to dangerous conditions at most plants, and combined with the relatively low population of the Drakons and the high number of plants, it takes a while to get technicians down there. There are maintenance robots, but these cannot withstand the high temperatures near the molten flows, at least the standard robots. A high-quality suit of armor is required to withstand the heat, so it is even harder.

On another note, some unorthodox Drakons in the military complex have wondered at the idea of gigantic walkers; armored platforms that walk, and are very powerful. They have a number of advantages over normal tanks, but the size is the issue. Too small, and they will easily be cut down by whatever enemies there may be. Medium walkers already exist, but... bigger is usually better. With the current designs, the walkers would be approximately 100 metres tall, a behemoth in combat terms. They continue to work on it, and are filled with confidence.

1 new batch of Comrades have been made, making the number now 48.

OOC: the only thing is that like in Neo-Terra, there is a movement in modifying DNA, splicing animals to your genome, cross species hybrids, changing physical form, and so on. I mention this because the Mikilo are one of its founders and main participators.

OOC: huh, I feel such odd feelings of raw hate towards the Sizzz-Shling right now. Good think I made the Woohkrik, so I can play as something other than them.

OOC: the insanity by the way was a bigger sense of self, not necessarily much more than the standard reptilian.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling agree immediately, and reply that they are glad that the Mikilo are active again. Sure the Mik.o were still there, but they tended to just react. The reptilians are excited that the Mikilo have a plan this time around, and are willing to sigh up. Even as the Sizzz-Shling empire links up with the Mikilo and whatever their plan is, the reptilians over Fertack explain that among the Sizzz-Shling, occasionally there will be born abominations, insane beasts that wear the guise of sapient life forms. To deal with this, the reptilians have put in many systems during their existence. One such tool would clear the affected of the pollution, to be taught the correct way. Those affected tended to be simplistic, but those Sizzz-Shling were having their whole brain chemistry repaired. But if this is done to a Avios to help them learn, they will retain their higher brain function. If the Ballonnicites and Avios ever want the Sizzz-Shling to do this, ask and it will be considered.

IC: The Qwusu hunker down in the outer city, with all 3 layers covered by walls the Qwusu must capture all 3. The Qwusu then start constructing crude catapults. The launch flaming sticks over the walls to try to set fire to some of the buildings. It works a few times but the GJA quickly extinguish them. The Qwusu, realizing that this plan is simply a stalemate, revert to something more devious. The order 30 of their best troops to tunnel under the middle city walls and open the gate for the remaining Qwusu. Under the cover of night the Qwusu soldiers dig. It takes roughly 2 days while the GJA suspect nothing. On the night of the 6th day of the siege the Qwusu finally break through. They quickly open the gate and the Qwusu soldiers rush in and slaughter the defending GJA. The GJA couldn't escape as the inner city defenders would not open the gates for them. War is hell.

OOC:What level of splicing are we talking about? Is it Dr.Moreau like or will there be Shoggoths roaming Penvictus?
OOC:I just realised how much this RP owes to Lovecraft after buying some of his work in graphic novel form, It's interesting that even the Mikilo have parallels in the Mountains of Madness

IC:MOSSA
The Mikilo thank the other members of MOSSA for their interest. The Mikilo suggest building an immense flagship for the MOSSA fleet, one that incorporates the designs of all member races of MOSSA. All would have to contribute to it equally and it would be crewed by multiracial representatives. If this idea is inappropriate the Mikilo would like to hear other ideas that would allow MOSSA to collaborate on a large scale project such as this. The Mikilo send a private message to the Sizzz-Shling asking whether they will be opposed to the Robopun having a say in the construction of such a ship, they do after all have great knowledge of inorganic materials and they would be willing to divert some of their workforce.

OOC: the major limits are in altering minds and E-DNA, almost everything else in on the table, aside from Sizzz-Shling genetics. If a Mikilo wants to be a fusion of Cthulhu and a dragon, it can be done. And because of the high demand, the tech has advanced enough to switch back and forth between wildly different forms.

OOC: interesting

IC: The Sizzz-Shling state that the Robopuns might assist, though the reptilians will be watching them. Meanwhile the Woohkrik continue to study the two types of anomalies. The Sizzz-Shling has been handing out filters to other races while the distortions spread, which the Woohkrik worry about. Oh they agree with this decision, one of the few the reptilians make that they agree with, but they worry what those entities will do if this occurs. The draconians only know a little of the behavior of the anomalies, but they would prefer it stay that way.

Balloonicites/Avios

The Mikilo's proposition excites the Xoolatians and Fertackites greatly. However, it soon settles in that they do not have anything of particular worth to this project that the other, more advanced members of MOSSA don't already have as something better. Not that they know of, anyway.

They are not disheartened by this thought. On the contrary, they work even harder, trying to conceptualise what this grand space-ship would be like and where something that is with-in their grasp may be. 15,000 Balloonicite Thinkers from both worlds (but the majority of them from Xoolat) collaborate via communications on this conundrum. The Avios are not left out, as they are critical in performing the lateral and imaginative thinking required for such a task which is beyond their broadest perceptions.

Fertack

The Avios are uneasy with the thought of erasing someone's will, thoughts, personality and individuality simply to ensure that they conform with the norm. The Balloonicites have no such thoughts and instead remember the suggestion in the unlikely event that they ever find it is needed with-in their own kind.

They tell the Shizz-Shling that intervention of that kind shall not be required, although will remember their offer of help just in case.

The Xoolatians and Fertackites have no knowledge of the splicing 'fad'. Even if they did, it would be beyond their abilities to use it.

Gang: The Tesseracts
Race: Tesseracts
Description: The Tesseracts are a race of four-dimensional humanoids. To a three-dimensional viewer they appear to be some kind of weird pulsating gel-like being with reflections of itself inside, coloured opaque clear with a mild tint of green. As beings from a higher dimension, they can perform incredible feats of apparent teleportation, bypassing almost all physical barriers, can manipulate 3D objects with ease and appear impervious to damage. However, they are still vulnerable to equal and higher dimensions, such as themselves, time and psychic power. They find it difficult to collect sustenance from the meagre three-dimensional food so nutrition is a big issue. They also have a strict code for not killing unless absolutely necessary. (Note: Their fourth dimension, the spatial fourth dimension, actually slots somewhere between the third dimension and the fourth official dimension, time)
Population: 76
Primary territory: An abandoned, irradiated and supposedly haunted nuclear fission power plant.
Starting tools: The power plant's generator and a 3D to 4D converter.
Allies: None in particular
Enemies: Hostile psychics

Gang:
Race: Tesseracts
Description: Comprised of four young, rebellious Tesseracts who wanted to get away from the monotony of Tesseract life. They have only a limited amount of time before they run out of 4D food on which to feed on, at which point they will be forced to return or starve.
Population: 4
Primary territory: None. Nomadic.
Starting tools: None
Allies: None in particular
Enemies: None in particular

Creature
Name: Balloonicite
Image: It is a creature similar to a jellyfish. Its body is a clear, pale-blue, balloon-like one. It has a small hole which acts as its mouth and a source of thrust and can open up surprisingly wide. Think of an opaque balloon, with its nozzle cut off. Then add six jellyfish-like tentacles and a few solider blotches for the various glands. (Image of Ballonicites over the ages, Avios, Xoolat and Andinoin)
Diet: Organic material smaller than it.
Height: 8cm to 80cm, depending on depth.
Description: The Balloonicites are similar to jellyfish on Earth. They live in freezing cold oceans and breathe oxygen or nearly anything containing oxygen. They eat by swallowing their food whole and dissolving and absorbing it. They also have poison secretion glands, somewhat simple eyes, electromagnetic sense and stinging/sticking semi-prehensile tentacles. Additionally, they and the other life-forms on their planet appear to be immune to cryogenics, otherwise they wouldn't live.
To create more young, tiny babies grow on their insides. Then, when they are ready, the Balloonicite's body bursts and the babies feed on the remains. Breeding season (although that name doesn't work) is roughly every 4 of their years.
They also have a tendency to do everything in 30s. When they reproduce they make 30 babies. And they hunt in 30s whenever possible (as this allows for the formation of a ball-like shape from the whole pack).
Habitat: They live in the cold liquid oxygen/nitrogen oceans of their planet, at any depth. It is also technically possible for them to float in the air.

IC:MOSSA
The Mikilo reply to the Drakons and the Balloonicites stating that it does not matter how advanced a race is, they can still contribute to the ship building project in some form, whether it be the design of the ship, construction or even the naming of the immense vessel. All races will of course have to have members to crew the ship so that is one way that all can contribute. The Mikilo also state that Drakons and Balloonicites may have a better grasp with certain technologies than either the Mikilo or the Sizzz-Shling. To the Sizzz-Shling the Mikilo ask what way the reptilians would go about constructing the ship.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling state that they typically melt down a chunk of a ogre rich moon, filter away the unneeded materials, and then pour the pieces into molds. These molds are then reassembled, to form the rooms and body of a MCS. The rest of the hip's gaps are filled in with ACS, to be launched from hatches in combat ituations. That is basically how the reptilians make thir ships. However this is not the only way to do it, and it probably won't work in this situation. After all, the flagship will rob ably have to be huge to represent all features of all MOSSA vessels, and that will require a lot of material.

Drakons

IC:The Drakons like the idea, but they're not sure about how it would be constructed. Would there be elements of every species' constructions in every part, or would there be different decks of the ship with construction? And how would the control bridge be planned out? A command table (where hologram simulations run) could be perfect for a Mikilo or Sizz-Shling, but the Drakons might have to bend down. Likewise, if it was perfect for a Drakon, it would be impossible to see with a Sizz-Shling. And any chairs would not be able to fit every species.

That isn't to say that they don't think it will work, they just think that there will be a lot of work involved. And really, a lot. They start thinking about the ship, and decide that they will contribute honeycombing and bulkheads, two key factors in Drakon ship construction. Combined together, it makes a ship very hard to destroy; but it was also extremely expensive. They think on more ideas, and offer up the honeycombing and bulkhead idea.

The Drakons build two more frigates two build up their navy, now that they have a larger population.

OOC: I realise how perfect a contrast I have with my Balloonicites and Avios. One swims, the other flies. One is logical, one is creative. One is a hivemind, one is made from individuals. One lives in the sea, one in the air. One is autonomous, one has emotions. One has no conscience, one has morals. They complement each other perfectly.

Balloonicites/Avios
Xoolat

An Avios looked down into the section of ocean below. It was currently the site of 6000 Balloonicites, all discussing and computing. They are the executive core of their end of the MOSSA project. Most of the other 9000 Balloonicites were doing the experimental side of the matter, testing things in the physical realm. This Avios was no normal Avios, though. He was one of the two lucky ambassadors which had been to the MOSSA meeting. As he had the best knowledge of the MOSSA, as limited as it was, he was in charge of the Avios' management team. And he had figured out something.

"You're entranced by these Thinkers," another Avios said to him.

"And not without good reason," the ex-ambassador smirked.

"Explain."

"You see, as far as we know we have no technology that will make a major contribution to this project. Heck, we know virtually nothing about space travel. All we have is a few borrowed space-ships which we hardly understand. But perhaps it isn't technology we can supply..."

"I still haven't figured it out."

"Looking back on my time at the MOSSA headquarters, I notice one thing of significance to our situation now. Nobody there thought in any way similar to the Balloonicites. They were all individuals like ourselves. As we all know, a single Balloonicite is as dumb as a brick. If you get 30 Balloonicites then they manage to have about half a wit between them. 90 and they're almost as clever as you or I. 300 and they're pretty darned smart. Here we have 15 THOUSAND! You give them ideas and they'll make them into the most incredible design you've ever seen, and in record time at that."

"That's marvellous! But what about us?"

"You're forgetting your psychology. No matter how many Balloonicites you put together they aren't especially creative. Logical, yes. Imaginative, no. That's where we come in. We pick them up where they falter. It's genius!"

They were jumping around with excitement around now.

"We'd better go and share the news."

"Indeed."

And that is what they did. Soon the Mikilo were informed, and told that the Balloonicites and Avios wished to have a major part in the planning. They said that with the way the Balloonicites think they would make the perfect engineers to design the space ship.

IC:MOSSA
The Mikilo thank the Drakons for their promise of aid and technology and state that perhaps the Drakons could also work on the weapons systems, if they require resources or funding the Mikilo will be more than happy to aid their allies. To the Balloonicites and the Avios the Mikilo state that two races collaborating on design should create some wonderful ideas as well as strengthening the bonds between the young races. The Mikilo do however ask the Balloonicites whether they will allow the Robopun or members of MOSSA to aid in their designs. To the Mikilo's closest comrades, the Sizzz-Shling the Mikilo state that they would hope that the design would be more collaborative as opposed to the Moon type ships.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling remark that this was not their intent, but they are not skilled in moderation. The reptilians suggest allowing them to design and place the weapon systems on the ship, as the Sizzz-Shling do specialize in that field. They will have to wait until the ship's final design is planned, so that the defensive and offensive tools mesh. The reptilians already begin to pick and choose what they will use if the Mikilo agree, though the Mikilo have not replied yet. To the Balloonicites and Avois the reptilians are excited by these developments, as they have long expected great things from the two of them. And perhaps now the first glimpse of their inner potential.

The Flora Union contact the Mikilo, and ask if they might need help with propulsion.

Balloonicites/Avios

The Balloonicites and Avios say that they will need every assistance in the design of the ship, as they know virtually nothing about space travel. The Avios say that the Balloonicites' purpose is to assemble all the ideas and pieces together so that they work brilliantly.
