Health wise at least, until the pitch forks come out. A study suggests that the presidents live - on average - longer than the normal life-expectancy. The reason is often attributed to better access to healthcare.

That's because they don't have to deal with the stresses of an average citizen that are congress's fault anyway.
And they have a lot of money, so they don't have to deal with high prices and stuff like that.

I think what I have said pretty much sums it up.

Two Words: Delegate Responsibility. That's what Congress, the Senate, the Joint Chiefs and your secretaries are for.

We should just go back to being a nomadic tribe, that was much more fun than what we've got nowadays.

President is probably the most stressful job in the world. I suspect the longevity is due to their relative wealth. Rich people live longer.

Correction: They don't have to deal with those stresses, but they have more stressful ones.

I didn't think that sentence all the way through.

If anyone's going to have priority in healthcare, I think it's going to be the President,(and rich people in general, as Slyth mentioned).

That's one of the factors presented in the article. Especially back in the 1700's when the presidents lived about twice as long as everyone else because they had access to improved healthcare due to their wealth.

Actually, the President does not make as much money as you would think, mostly because he is provided with a house and they buy his food for him, so really, he doesn't need the money in the first place, as they take care of him at the white house.

This is why he does not need to be taxed a lot. And why end the thread, I'm interested.

It costs millions of dollars to run for president. Every American president was a multimillionaire (or time period equivalent) before they were elected. Barack Obama made 1.7 million dollars in 2010, more than quadruple his official salary.

The cost for presidential campaining is pretty nasty. It used to cost a lot less, but now...
Anyway, canadates mostly get money from voter donations, which they put into their "Personal fund" even if it came from donations.

Otherwise canadates can get funded by the Government but only if they have X amount of people on their side.
