And then there were lumps at the beginning of their tails. And they started to get longer and longer. Also the cells were starting to get bigger. Cells were starting to go up to the surface of the tide-pool and taking in deep breaths of air. It was starting to get easier to breathe up here and harder to breathe down in the tide-pool.

Then, their legs stopped growin. And the feet began to grow. Cells had never seen anything like this before. Then, after one cell was almost completely done evolving, it couldn't breathe underwater anymore. It swam up to the surface as fast as it could. The cells all watched in awe as that one little guy swam to the edge of the tide-pool and took it's first wobbly steps.

It turned around to look at the tde-pool, it's home, then turned back around and went to find food. It came across a nest, a nest that was full of carnivores...

The Zazaza-Matter was a very interesting theoretical particle. It explained how there could be universes in the first place, and how there could be one before. It didn't explain though how the Forms survived from one universe to the next, as that was thought impossible before the discovery of the Forms. It also didn't explain where Zazaza-Matter came from. But the biggest surprise of them all was that the being of the high three who came up with that idea, had a Form interfering with their thoughts during the time of discovery. There was something unusual about these Forms. That was certain now.

Meanwhile, the other species often advanced or fell. Over time, the first federation emerged attempting to unite all species. It had gained many members, creating a strong force. Some others formed in response. Others stayed their own empire, but pursued war less often. Sometimes the Forms interfered, that much was clear. The high three also sometimes interfered on the interference to see how it changed, but they never interfered directly.

As the research continued, one answer was revealed how the Forms even formed in the previous universe. The Zazaza-Matter had the trait of creating a different way of physics for every other universe it created. The first would be relatively weak, the second would be relatively strong, and then it would repeat three times, and then no longer form. But if it wasn't an infinite cycle, where did the first of it come from?

The Gas-emitting cells have thrived, and evolved into small, krill-like gas-emitters, swimming through the now red-tinged seas. Unfortunately, the amount of gas emitted by these humble creatures has caused the oceans to acidify.

Argon-6 (Lake Planet)

The Airmitters didn't survive well on Argon-6. The lakes were unnaturally dense, definitely not liquid H2o. This caused the Airmitters' gas-emitting systems were clogging up, causing them to grow abnormally large, but also sterilizing them (on a confusing, microbial level). But, deep in the genome of these single-celled wonders lies potential. Potential that's about to be unleashed.

As the research continued into the Forms and Zazaza-Matter, it became more clear how the Forms could have evolved from the weak universe. As only the most solid matter would form, whatever would form would be especially strong. This also showed it could survive the end of a universe. The strange thing was though, looking on this physics, it seemed perfectly accurate. Why was that strange? Because then it wasn't the Forms which started this...

Meanwhile, the other life continued to grow and change. Some big federations began to grow, some pursuing peace, some pursuing power, some pursuing merely survival. To the high three's surprise, those seeking survival was the most common.

It was then an even stranger discovery was made. A wormhole had taken in a Form, making it travel at around the speed of light. It exited just on the edge of the universe. It spat out, and flew to the border. The measurement showed that it would reach the border and possibly pass it if they intervened. This opportunity would probably not happen again. And they needed a quick decision. They decided to go for it, and made it so that it would temporarily travel faster than light.

Despite the fact the high three had built ships to the same, for a few seconds, the Form had passed the border. It turned around itself before going any further as there was no energy there to use. The fact of the matter was though: the border to the universe was crossed.

I'm considering joining. Let me decide.

Quietus

The oceans have acidified, emitting toxic fumes into the atmosphere, and trapping all heat. Slowly, the oceans began to die, and so did all the lifeforms in it. Thousands of years passed, and the planet had been changed entirely. The great oceans had become tiny, pools of toxic water. The air had turned stale, and the sky had a strange, eery red glow. The atmosphere had thinned out, and the planet was completely bathed in infrared rays from its small, red dwarf star that it had been moving closer to every million years. Quietus was locked in orbit, one side always facing the sun, the other completely dark. Yet life still existed, tiny, and weak, but it existed. It had adapted quickly, and was ready to reboot.

Argon-6

The gas-emitting microbes were evolving. They were starting to let go of this ancient trait that allowed them to feed on gas, and were adapting to the strange liquid pools, banding together to become multi-cellular. They were forming exoskeletons, and now had a taste for meat. They had become the Tanks.

Meanwhile on the outside orbit of Radium...

It's been 100 years since the last entry. Radium was able to harness the nuclear reactions to build a space rocket. 6 crew members were sent on a year-long trip around a nearby planet, uninhabited. The distance from the home, away form the radiation, stopped evolution for that crew. On the return trip, there was no ground control to meet them, in fact, no one was there to meet them at all. After a crash landing. The six men wandered the desert.

The ground shakes...
Sand seems to rise...
A menacing roar from the distance...
Tentacles...
Teeth...
Scales...
Massive...
They didn't know how, or why, or when; but they realized that fast evolution has, monstrous consequences. The society is dead, only the monster lives now, on little Radium.

The border to the universe had been crossed, even though the universe was apparently expanding there. They also saw the reason the Form turned around. Again, there was no energy there. This raised many questions, such as what is beyond the border? The high three began to realize no matter how much they learned in the past, there still were mysteries.

Meanwhile, the other life not even aware of the universe barrier's position, continued to change. Soon, the first galaxy wide federation formed pursuing peace. A rival galaxy did soon after forming for power. As the two fought, a third formed for survival amongst the battle. These seemed to do the best, as they most prepared for war, but not offensively to the point where it cost too many resources.

The high three wondered why they couldn't go beyond the border while the Forms could. They concluded that it was because energy was needed to do so. Their FTL ships relied on energy around to move. The Forms, as if by design, could work with or without it, but looked for it anyway. They realized, if they were to travel there, they'd need to build a ship that didn't use any energy. They began working on this, but all their science showed it was impossible, unless it was ridiculously small, like the Forms. The high three wondered what would happen if they made something like a Form, but with the abilities and memories of one of them. This began to be explored.

The research continued into making a Form. It was difficult, even for the high three, but it was under way. The difficult part was making it stable and hold knowledge on such a small scale. The other Forms found were looked at to see how they did it. Right now, though, it seemed like it wouldn't be finished for awhile.

At the same time, the other races continued to spread and change in many different ways. The high three observing this began to notice these other races make things that the high three had not. These were not just federations, but technologies and ideas as well. The great diversity had shown many insights. One such insight was a method of storing knowledge in a very simple way, which the high three looked for in the pursuit of making Forms. The other races used it to make more efficient computers.

The high three then wondered if at this time, should they reveal themselves to the other life, and if so, how to do it. They concluded yes, but still wondered how.

OOU: I'm sorry, still have no time to post, but I would like to let everyone know I have not given up on this, I am reading your posts whenever I can but I have been very busy lately. I'm to my midterm and struggling through it.

OOU; Finally! I have set aside some time today to post. This should be an interesting one. I'm considering this as the real start of the story (Woo-hoo! I'll be able to hold your interest now!), the real fun begins here!

IU; With haste and overconfidence driving the Glowers to explore, they sent out a large party to investigate the rip more closely. It wasn't until after months of drifting along in the Wizard that they finally got on course, and started the rockets. They had lots of fuel in storage, and rushed as quickly as possible to the rip.

More months passed, and finally they were close enough to get a really good look at it, scanned it, and discovered that scientifically it was impossible. It couldn't exist. It was a two dimensional object floating in space, with nothing to exist on.

It was only a few days, they reported back to their homeworld just once, and then they saw it. A cloud of dust slowly drifting through space. Not just any kind of dust, but Renn. This was the material that everything in this Universe was made of on some level. Accept the Glowers, Fadine and Organisms from their world. They came from a different Universe. A Universe where things made far more sense. With every new discovery, they were more and more baffled.

The Queen stepped out in front of her subjects, Cameras broadcasting to three planets. She looked happy, but frazzled.

"Everyone, all of you, we would like to report some major discoveries y our brave team on the Wizard. They're out there, millions of miles away, and it we had been even one star further into the galaxy, this would not have been possible. The team has discovered three very very important things."

She looked down from her high balcony, making eye contact with whoever she could.

"One, the Rip is impossible. It can't technically exist, but it's still there. Two, there are transmissions coming from the rip, beckoning us with the same call from thousands of years ago. We have begun to return that call. Three, the mineral known as Renn, that makes up everything in this Universe, is alive."
