I'm still downloading (in the application, not spore.com) quite a few creations that are the flat white rectangle with a large red "X" in it.

I'm looking for a post from a long time ago about one of the creators I liked who had missing content, but with 3K+ posts, I'm not having much luck.

All of my creature that had been showing up blank in the sporepedia are back (there were only two). They had always shown up in the application for me, they just had blank sporepedia pictures. I'm guessing they were not blank for other people, since several of my buddies commented on them.

Oh, I owe so MANY comments this week... Now I have homework, getting of them caught up!

Spore.com is deathly slow and my alt account can't sign in. I was finally able to sign in on this main account but it is too slow to work with. Seriously.....

Sporums is just a gear tooth faster and I can sign in.

What happens when you try to sign in? Are you getting an "Unable to connect to EA server" message?

I've gotten a couple of reports of this and the team is looking into it, but if you're getting something different, please post the specifics.

It was stating that pass word or user name were incorrect but was correct.... today I did get through on it.

The whole system is painfully slow today except on the alt account.... game, site and forums. Also game is having upload issues. It says a creation didn't upload... then shows it did... but it wasn't.... then makes a copy on it's own free will and uploads it. I thought I had two uploaded so deleted the copy to find that the first wasn't uploaded. Edited and deleted that one... had to share the edited version twice before it worked.

I'm wore out now.... LOL

EDIT Everything is moving fast again.....

I've been getting some random "There was an error connecting to the Spore servers" message when loading user profiles in game.

For days... -.-

@8Jacko9 and OverActor: We've identified the issue here and hope to implement a fix soon. Thanks for your patience here, in the mean time we suggest hopping onto an alternate persona if possible.

Sometimes switching is a must and sometimes not switching is a must.

I am also getting the error "cannot connect to Spore servers". I created an alt to see if attempting to switch back and forth would help, but it hasn't.

Okay MC... I have been able to log into Spore.com and Sporums for the last two days (Edit-without being able to function or post on the sites). BUT... this is what I am learning.

We all know that the game crashes if you don't do the General Maintenance of deleting the system.reg and numbered GraphicsCache.packages. (I am on the latest Safari and have Snow Leopard) When my cache needs to be deleted, it does NOT crash until I CLOSE the game and then it gives me the "Do you wish to debug?". Generally this is no biggie. I click yes, my game closes and I do the general maintenance on the game.

This is now affecting Spore.com and the Sporums for me. I can only move around these sites now if I restart my computer too after the general maintenance is done.

Double Edit

The above isn't total science.... but has seemed to help. I can't delete the graphic file until I get one to delete. Both sites are impossible for me and I had to wait for ever to get in to post this.

My game is now signing on.... letting me see my page.... then after that it won't download, let me make comments or open anything online anymore. It won't even tell me I am off line and if I try to sign in again... it's a no go. Then I close my game and get the crash.... Do you wish to debug.... Game is totally playable without online interraction.

I hope all of this helps... if it is pointless for me to give you all of this then please PM me..... I may be able to get the PM in a day or two.

Update.....

I decided to uninstall my game and reinstall to see if all of this might be my game.

Reinstall went perfectly well. All problems still exist including....

1. Game, Spore.com and Spore...... eat up my data transfer to an extreme..... In 30 minutes time of being on your sites and in game it is possible to have 90Mb's of data transfer when I should only have about 20-30Mb of data transfer. I have been watching this as I have limited internet service. All three of these will continue to rack up the bits even when I am not doing anything. I have even closed my browser and watched it continue on at an alarming rate and had to disconnect my computer to get it to stop.

This only happens with these three and at about 50% of the time.

2. My game is racking up bits and most of the time will not download my buddies creations. At this point I have only been able to download about 50% of my buddies things, 3% of my things and all the subbed and created sporecasts. I started redownloading all yesterday around 3:30 pm TX time and stopped at 1 am.... continued at 8:30 am today and gave up at 11:20am... getting no where today with 30Mb's of useless data transfer so far.

3. These things are happening with core Spore and Galactic Adventures.

4. Upon reinstalling and installing all of the patches..... Core Spore downloaded all of my creations that are on site in my name..... then opened Galactic adventures and all but one had disappeared.... after many opens and close of both games and deleting the login.prop and Preferences.prop files a few times.... I only have 3 that are showing up as shared.

5. Still having trouble with crashing after closing game even though not playing the game because of the drastic bit rate and nothing coming in or going out.

6. Creations still showing up as a white box with big red X across it.

7. Game has a heard time signing on at times too giving me the notice that my computer may not be on line.... when it is.

In other words... nothing is improved and everything is sucking up my data usage as it all was before I uninstalled and reinstalled.

EDIT Game is also not saving the creatures development stages in creature stage.... Looked for a numbered GraphicsCache.package to delete.... there aint none.... saved and closed the game.... it saves over the last stage saved and so there aint none.... closed the whole app.... restarted computer.... no improvements.

This is hilarious.....

My buddies that my game won't download..... it will download their new creations since I reinstalled but not any of their creations prior to my reinstall.

Also, having my firewall on seems to prevent most of your servers from pushing in excessive ghost data.

I am patiently waiting and don't want you to think any differently.... but it seems like I am always the first to show signs of trouble with your servers and trying to give you untainted info on the problems. I have done all I can do to make sure that none of this is my computer by reinstalling game, making sure all is up to date and even virus scanning and all things point to your end.

can someone help me i hust got spore galactic afventures and when i was trying to post a adventure the comment box did not pop up so i went to my profile it said i got a achivement for putting a adventure up but it said i do not have galatic and to buy it so what the heck is going on? i installed galactic with out reinstalling spore first? it will let me play but not upload? what should i do? ps spore is installed

No improvements at anytime all weekend. Game is totally playable... Have played from cell to Space. I'm not into adventure creating yet so don't know about that. I did try to share my game creatures and my game won't share any of my creations.

I found some creations that I wanted in my game and clicked download hoping that I would get them and I did without any problems.

EDIT I failed to mention that since reinstalling my game, it is easier to move on Spore.com and the Sporums. However, commenting from game and opening internet pages from game are slow.

Does this also make some adventures unplayable?

My new adventure my friends say it gives them the message "missing parts", but we all have the creepy and cute. .. would anybody mind to take a look and see if you get the error?
