IC: The Sizzz-Shling work on their projects, and are almost done creating a caste tht can alter its SPORE relatively at will. Unlike the Wohkrik this group will borstal, and will require food. Although this will limit effectiveness, it will keep the caste tied to the Sizzz-Shling and the empire, preventing betrayals uh as the one the Wohkrik have committed. Speaking of the Wohkrik the draconians continue to develop a culture, with the first building block being that all life is alive only when to is connected, that all life must change and grow, and that the object of life is simply to survive. Braised the first two requirements, the Wohkrik ave decided that tey re only life-like, and not true life form.

Balloonicites/Avios
Fertack

The first physical connection between two towns had finally been achieved, by a powered glider. It proved that long-distance travel was difficult when using an electric motor, but a large battery as well as some economical flying (it is a glider, after all) managed to get an ambitious Avios pilot from the Equator town to NWEq. This voyage was met with great praise.

However, some problems were discovered with the moving of Balloonicites. As Balloonicites need to spend most of their time immersed in nosqua, a liquid, to have a compartment filled with nosqua would be impractically heavy for a vehicle which depends of being light (something which the trees of Fertack help with). Researchers are keeping their eyes open for a possible solution.


Gang: The Tesseracts
Race: Tesseracts
Description: The Tesseracts are a race of four-dimensional humanoids. To a three-dimensional viewer they appear to be some kind of weird pulsating gel-like being with reflections of itself inside, coloured opaque clear with a mild tint of green. As beings from a higher dimension, they can perform incredible feats of apparent teleportation, bypassing almost all physical barriers, can manipulate 3D objects with ease and appear impervious to damage. However, they are still vulnerable to equal and higher dimensions, such as themselves, time and psychic power. They find it difficult to collect sustenance from the meagre three-dimensional food so nutrition is a big issue. They also have a strict code for not killing unless absolutely necessary. (Note: Their fourth dimension, the spatial fourth dimension, actually slots somewhere between the third dimension and the fourth official dimension, time)

Name: Balloonicite
Image: It is a creature similar to a jellyfish. Its body is a clear, pale-blue, balloon-like one. It has a small hole which acts as its mouth and a source of thrust and can open up surprisingly wide. Think of an opaque balloon, with its nozzle cut off. Then add six jellyfish-like tentacles and a few solider blotches for the various glands. Diet: Organic material smaller than it.
Height: 8cm to 80cm, depending on depth.
Description: The Balloonicites are similar to jellyfish on Earth. They live in freezing cold oceans and breathe oxygen or nearly anything containing oxygen. They eat by swallowing their food whole and dissolving and absorbing it. They also have poison secretion glands, somewhat simple eyes, electromagnetic sense and stinging/sticking semi-prehensile tentacles. Additionally, they and the other life-forms on their planet appear to be immune to cryogenics, otherwise they wouldn't live.
To create more young, tiny babies grow on their insides. Then, when they are ready, the Balloonicite's body bursts and the babies feed on the remains. Breeding season (although that name doesn't work) is roughly every 4 of their years.
They also have a tendency to do everything in 30s. When they reproduce they make 30 babies. And they hunt in 30s whenever possible (as this allows for the formation of a ball-like shape from the whole pack).
Habitat: They live in the cold liquid oxygen/nitrogen oceans of their planet, at any depth. It is also technically possible for them to float in the air.

Tectonic movements have made the super-continent which is a large band around the planet not a perfectly straight band but have numerous bits sticking into or away from the poles.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling are almost finished with their current task, but something has come up. The virus has returned, twisting and mutilating the words of the reptilians into utter nonsense. The possibility tat this is purposely done as some sort of attack grows more certain with each surge of nonsense-speak, though the Sizzz-Shling do not know who would dare attack them. At the moment the reptilians have regained some control over their airwaves and computers, but now they know that it will always come back, until they find it's source. And that is no comfort.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling have resumed their war on their flawed computers, and have made some success those far. Of course this success does not matter in the long run, as if the reptilians ever stop actively fighting the anomalies, it will return. Either way, work on the caste that can change their own mass continues, whose research hopefully won't get corrupted by the distortion. The reptilians are just about putting the fishing touches on the insanely twisted E-DNA genome, which has yet to be given a caste designation. The hacker caste also has become its own group, so the time is right to name them as well. All the Sizzz-Shling have to do now is wait.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling have finally named their newest castes, following their weird congruent theme with an ancient Juan society, the castes are dubbed Xi for the spies, and Omicron for the computer defenders a d hackers. TheXi caste has actually just been created, and the trial runs seem promising. Of course, they have tested variations of this technology for a quite long time. As the Xi are launched to enact their duty, the reptilians will monitor them in order to determine if the technology is ready to be implemented into their OMCS. As of yet they have no definitive answering the subject, though hey are looking intoit.

Balloonicites/Avios

A use for superconductors has been found, in communications. They will be used in the link between the amplifiers/transducers and Balloonicites users. Balloonicites radios work in a similar fashion to amplifiers, as the Balloonicite language is directly compatible with the electromagnetic spectrum so all that had to be done was amplify the rather weak signal. However, the wiring it passes through to get to the amplifier/transducer causes some loss of signal due to electrical resistance. This issue is solved by using super-conductors instead of steel.

Fertack

A solution to the Balloonicite air travel problem is found, this time inspired by Balloonicite physiology (fascinating, how air vehicles for each species are loosely based around themselves). In order to achieve atmospheric buoyancy it had been found that Balloonicites would increase their body temperature. This heat was enough to make them mostly aero-static. Inspired by this, a large balloon was constructed with a bucket underneath and a heating element inside. The bucket was filled with nosqua and 3 Balloonicites. A few Avios puffed up the balloon and the heating element was activated. Soon the air inside the balloon heated, expanded and provided lift and the hot air balloon began to float upwards. At this stage the heating element was disabled. After about 20 minutes of floating about being puffed around by the wind it landed again. The experiment was successful.

It is projected that the addition of motorised propellers would allow for directional control and thus for it to be a viable mode of bulk transport. As long as in the event of an ocean landing the heating element is ensured to be switched off, or else there could be trouble.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling have just encountered a small amount of scrambled messages, and the Omicron are put on high alert. In the meantime the reptilians have observed that the Balloonicites have finally began to step into the sky, thir method utilizing heated gas and a large balloon. The reptilians are pleased that finally there is progress on that front for the Ballloonicites, though it might benefit the Avios as well. The reptilians are not the best civilization in many aspects, their inventing ability is limited, and their diplomacy is not perfect. IC: The Sizzz-Shling are less pleased by the Omicron than the Xi though, as the distortions and anomalies still haunt the reptilians' transmissions. The Omicron now have pushed to double their efforts in patrolling the reptilians' networks, as they hate to fail the empire. They must succeed, they can not afford to falter in the slightest. As their hacker caste works to protect reptilian interests, the Sizzz-Shling continue to observe the tentacle entities flickering around their planets, and worry grows. It has been observed tat individuals who catch sight of the thing tend to go mad later. The reptilians had to find a way to stop that, but as of yet their data on the subject was none existent.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling continue to worry about that distortion in space. From what witness account before they go mad, the creature tends to look like a large bulbous sphere with eight tentacles, it's body colorful in every hue. This entity does not resemble any octopus however, as it's eyes are non existent. As more witnesses go mad, the reptilians notice a pattern. The majority of sitings occur on Sizzz-Shling territory, and the exceptions occur on Mikilo world with high Sizzz-Shung presence. And they need their computers functioning perfectly, if they're to have any hope in figuring out how to analyze the monstrosities.right now ll the reptilins know is that the entities come in two colors, sweet and sour. No one can explain how something can look like a flavor of taste, but these distortions have done it. IC: The Sizzz-Shling contact the Xoolatians and Fertackians, and congratulate them on achieving flight. The reptilians then move onto business, and explain that the flashes the Sizzz-Shling have observed have only increased, and they can now recognize the form of the flashes. They loon kind of like Balloonicites, in that they have a kind of bulbous round body and tendrils. But aside from that they are impossibly different. For one thing individuals that catch sight of these creatures go insane, and the icky ones die shortly after. The reptilians note that most flashes congregate at worlds that have a strong Sizzz-Shling presence,so the Balloonites might be safe. They should still be wary though.

Balloonicites/Avios

The Balloonicites and Avios thank the Shizz-Shling for their complements and warnings. When the Shizz-Shling leave, however, the Balloonicites take little heed for the warning of the Shizz-Shling, and their Astronomers continue to strain their telescopes, improved by modern manufacturing techniques, into the sky.

Researchers have managed to make an improved armour design based on the fur of the Armoured Dragon (the name given to the 'monster' which had incredibly strong armour. Dragon is used as a generic term to classify predator mega-fauna on Fertack. They are not winged nor do they breath fire). It is no where near as strong or light as the actual material, as it is made from steel and not whatever that fur was made from, but it maintained similar force dissipation properties. That, and it was more flexible than plate armour. Armour scaling will now be the primary design of armour made from now on.

Description: The Tesseracts are a race of four-dimensional humanoids. To a three-dimensional viewer they appear to be some kind of weird pulsating gel-like being with reflections of itself inside, coloured opaque clear with a mild tint of green. As beings from a higher dimension, they can perform incredible feats of apparent teleportation, bypassing almost all physical barriers, can manipulate 3D objects with ease and appear impervious to damage. However, they are still vulnerable to equal and higher dimensions, such as themselves, time and psychic power. Name: Balloonicite
Image: It is a creature similar to a jellyfish. Its body is a clear, pale-blue, balloon-like one. It has a small hole which acts as its mouth and a source of thrust and can open up surprisingly wide. Think of an opaque balloon, with its nozzle cut off. Then add six jellyfish-like tentacles and a few solider blotches for the various glands. Diet: Organic material smaller than it.
Height: 8cm to 80cm, depending on depth.
Description: The Balloonicites are similar to jellyfish on Earth. They live in freezing cold oceans and breathe oxygen or nearly anything containing oxygen. They eat by swallowing their food whole and dissolving and absorbing it. They also have poison secretion glands, somewhat simple eyes, electromagnetic sense and stinging/sticking semi-prehensile tentacles. Additionally, they and the other life-forms on their planet appear to be immune to cryogenics, otherwise they wouldn't live.
To create more young, tiny babies grow on their insides. Then, when they are ready, the Balloonicite's body bursts and the babies feed on the remains. Breeding season (although that name doesn't work) is roughly every 4 of their years.
They also have a tendency to do everything in 30s. When they reproduce they make 30 babies. And they hunt in 30s whenever possible (as this allows for the formation of a ball-like shape from the whole pack).
Habitat: They live in the cold liquid oxygen/nitrogen oceans of their planet, at any depth. It is also technically possible for them to float in the air.

Terrain: The atmosphere is made up of hydrogen gas and helium. The poles constitute of oceans which are made of liquid oxygen and nitrogen. Away from the poles is mostly land. This land is covered in permafrost. Tectonic movements have made the super-continent which is a large band around the planet not a perfectly straight band but have numerous bits sticking into or away from the poles.

OOC: there is another, one who is pretty active. However I don't know their schedule, and I don't want to put them in a position where they have to pick and choose.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling note that they are ignored, but they have more important things to worry about. At this point the reptilians acknowledge that whatever these things are, they are targeting the Sizzz-Shling. They fly to close, to the point that it is nearly impossibly not to catch sight of them. For the first time in ages the reptilian population is decreaseing, for witnesses soon go mad and usually slaughter their fellows. The reptilians have the sneaking suspicion that the fact that the Sizzz-Shling are MOSSA's military is the reason for these sightings.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling note that the majority of their population are safe, as the bulk of the Sizzz-Shling are active military; constantly patrolng space. Of course the reptilians need their planets for a number of reasons, from building ships to repairing vessels. In truth thet require those planets heavily, as does the alliance. Not only would the military wither without them, but those worlds also include the bulk of farming for the alliance, thanks to the Nu. The reptilans quickly work on tech that will filter the anomalies from their gaze, forthe sake of MOSSA.
