IC: The Sizzz-Shling wait for the response of the Drakons, even while the splicing continues. Honestly the only use for the tech the reptilans can stand is when it is used to create hybrid children. The reptilans can understand breeding two species to get a new race, that is how their species emerged. They don't understand the feelings causing certain individuals to do this however. The Sizzz-Shling also don't understand why so many individuals are willing to change their body to a new variation, with different strengths and weaknesses. It could take years to adapt to a new form, so why do it?

IC: The Sizzz-Shling continue to dislike the splicing, though they suppose it widens the gene pool and protects the alliance from genetic attack. Besides the reptilans had problems of their own. Apparently the Woh-Kopah have started to do something unheard of in Sizzz-Shling society; defy orders. The defiance is only for small things, but it is still worrying. Especially since the Woh-Kopah have begun to socialize more, and a few groups have started to Coe up with individual names. They aren't hostuile towards the empire at the moment, but tey definitely are not acting like Sizzz-Shling should.

OOC: My usual computer for posting is still not working, so until further notice my posts will be sporadic.
Also, how does MOSSA communicate typically and keep in touch? Perhaps the Balloonicites could be more able to join in.

Balloonicites/Avios

The Xoolatians had always placed keeping frequent contact as a priority. In the early days this was done by a messenger going across in person, but nowadays it is done by radio. Transmitting Balloonicite language via radio is easy. All that need to be done is to amplify the signal. However, simply amplifying the signal means that any Balloonicite in range of the transmission can hear it anywhere. This can cause noise pollution, which is bad. To circumvent this problem, radio engineers discovered they could modify the signal so it travels at a frequency outside the Balloonicite 'hearing' range, and then convert it back at the receiver and then the 'listener' will 'hear' it through conductive plates.

But radio within the Balloonicite frequency range does have applications. It is used for public announcement systems.

Description: The Tesseracts are a race of four-dimensional humanoids. To a three-dimensional viewer they appear to be some kind of weird pulsating gel-like being with reflections of itself inside, coloured opaque clear with a mild tint of green. As beings from a higher dimension, they can perform incredible feats of apparent teleportation, bypassing almost all physical barriers, can manipulate 3D objects with ease and appear impervious to damage. However, they are still vulnerable to equal and higher dimensions, such as themselves, time and psychic power. They find it difficult to collect sustenance from the meagre three-dimensional food so nutrition is a big issue. They also have a strict code for not killing unless absolutely necessary. (Note: Their fourth dimension, the spatial fourth dimension, actually slots somewhere between the third dimension and the fourth official dimension, time)

Creature
Name: Balloonicite
Image: It is a creature similar to a jellyfish. Its body is a clear, pale-blue, balloon-like one. It has a small hole which acts as its mouth and a source of thrust and can open up surprisingly wide. Think of an opaque balloon, with its nozzle cut off. Then add six jellyfish-like tentacles and a few solider blotches for the various glands. Diet: Organic material smaller than it.
Height: 8cm to 80cm, depending on depth.
Description: The Balloonicites are similar to jellyfish on Earth. They live in freezing cold oceans and breathe oxygen or nearly anything containing oxygen. They eat by swallowing their food whole and dissolving and absorbing it. They also have poison secretion glands, somewhat simple eyes, electromagnetic sense and stinging/sticking semi-prehensile tentacles. Additionally, they and the other life-forms on their planet appear to be immune to cryogenics, otherwise they wouldn't live.
To create more young, tiny babies grow on their insides. Then, when they are ready, the Balloonicite's body bursts and the babies feed on the remains. Breeding season (although that name doesn't work) is roughly every 4 of their years.
They also have a tendency to do everything in 30s. When they reproduce they make 30 babies. And they hunt in 30s whenever possible (as this allows for the formation of a ball-like shape from the whole pack).
Habitat: They live in the cold liquid oxygen/nitrogen oceans of their planet, at any depth. It is also technically possible for them to float in the air.

Terrain: The atmosphere is made up of hydrogen gas and helium. The poles constitute of oceans which are made of liquid oxygen and nitrogen. Away from the poles is mostly land. This land is covered in permafrost. Tectonic movements have made the super-continent which is a large band around the planet not a perfectly straight band but have numerous bits sticking into or away from the poles.

OOC: sometime it is done in person, but usually they use more advanced versions of what links Fertavk and Xoolat.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling and the Wop-Kopah continue to be at odds, though right now the Wop-Kopah are just arguing and are not actively antagonistic. Mostly they are questioning orders and refusing to not be individualistic. The Wop-Kopah are still highly devoted to the group, but they also seem to acknowledge that they exist as separate entities as well. Right now names are simplistic, usually based on whatever they saw when the first realized they had identities. Names like the Sizzz-Shling words for hull, metal, alloy, generator, and similar names tend to be the new titles, though a few names like rock, tree, moss, pond, and star are also mixed in. Simplistic names they are, it still upsets the Sizzz-Shling.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling can't help but feel intense anger and helplessness as a Wop-Kopah called Krik starts to deviate from its plannedsoy course. Krik instead visits every other Woh-Kopah, spreading ideas and information to them. Of course Woh- Kopah are expected to converse and share data, but Krik is nt one of the approved messengers, nor are it's messages acceptable. The Sizzz-Shling would punish and or purge Krik, but unfortunately they made his people impossible to harm. The Wop- Kopah can't touch the reptilans, butthereverse is also true. It seems folly in hindsight to assumetheywould just follow orders instinctually like any sane Sizzz-Shling.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling are helpless as the Woh-Kopah begging to doubt their solid leaders, and slowly begin to gather around Krik. The reptilans note to themselves how appropriate the name is, as it's teaching spread about like wildfire. The Sizzz-Shling can't stop this defiance, they can't even stop the Woh-Kopah from spying on themselves. There was no weapon, no tactic that could be used against the Woh-Kopah, they were made too well. Ageless, untouchable, and quite possibly mad, the reptilans could see no easy way to restrain them. No way to stop them.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling note with worry that the Woh-Kopah are beginning to call themselves Wohkrik, which roughly means Flaming Ghosts. The reptilans can't help but worry as the Wohkrik push away from Sizzz-Shling mindsets, such as obeying all orders,even Krik is not automatically followed, though they always listen to it's ideas. Thereptilians look over their notes to find why this happened. The reptilans find something from generations ago when thu launch th project. Appearanly the Woh-Kopah were a little odd even when they were made, though that was believed o be because thycouldn't interact with anything but their fellows, nd that they would grow out of it as they grew. Apparently that was not true.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling watch the Wohkrik begin to ignore the Sizzz-Shling more and more, and there is nothing that the reptilians can do about it. Instead the reptilians start to work to replace the traitors, using the technology being developed for the mass armor. Although it will limit their effectiveness, the new versions will be able to phase back into solid form. This new feature should hopefully prevent similarly rebellions, since the new spies will still be able to feel and connect with the Sizzz-Shling empire. The reptiliańs only hope that this time everything goes according to plan.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling begin to finalize their experiments for the Woh-Kopah traitors. This tech will also be usefully for the OMCS armor, as it could run on the same tech, abit a much larger lversion. At the moment while the reptilians prepare to finish this experiment, the Wohrkrik begin to collect more information, a drive they can't rationalize. Right now they have taken to spy on the Sizzz-Shling along with the other species, collecting new information about everything. The Wohkrik know that the Sizzz-Shling are replacing them, but tey don't mind. At this way they need not worry about the reptilians trying to regain control.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling continue to try to replace the Woh-Kopah, though their attempts tend to go horribly wrong. However they continue rotary, and success is being made. Tests are done on barren asteroids however, just in cast the test subject's mass grows too dense too quick, and bad stuff goes down. But right now the reptilians are still making progress, and best of all this is useful in their OMCS armor project, and indirectly it is useful in their attepts to give the MCS mass armor. It's only a matter of time until the reptilians can finish up this project.

Balloonicites/Avios

Identification between Balloonicites has always been very vague. Individual identity was ignored after the Balloonicites joined the workforce, the only source of identification being the uniform worn by the Balloonicite, which differs between occupations. This is not a problem, as identification beyond their occupation is generally not needed and if it is it can be supplied from the testimony of the individual. When the Balloonicites are still student they are labelled with a number. This number gives the Teachers a reference so they can identify the needs of an individual and be able to match test results to their testee.

This number system has always been a bit slow, though, especially before the young learn to act in an organised manner. But an ingenious new solution has been created. Something called bar codes. A light is shone on a series of parallel black bars of differing lengths on a piece of white paper and the reflected light is received by photo-resistors. A computer then translates this into a number. This allows for a number organisation system recognisable by computers.

These bar codes have been adopted into an ingenious machine. As each student has a unique number, they can each have a folder containing all their report information with a unique label. They are then placed into their respective numbered slots in a motorised filing cabinet. When a bar code, such as that on a student's label, is scanned by the machine it moves the shelves of the filing cabinet so the shelf with the number appears on top. It also accepts manual entry of the number via buttons.

This ingenious system is the first practical computerised database, despite the fact that the actual data is still in hard format.

Description: The Tesseracts are a race of four-dimensional humanoids. To a three-dimensional viewer they appear to be some kind of weird pulsating gel-like being with reflections of itself inside, coloured opaque clear with a mild tint of green. As beings from a higher dimension, they can perform incredible feats of apparent teleportation, bypassing almost all physical barriers, can manipulate 3D objects with ease and appear impervious to damage. However, they are still vulnerable to equal and higher dimensions, such as themselves, time and psychic power. They find it difficult to collect sustenance from the meagre three-dimensional food so nutrition is a big issue. They also have a strict code for not killing unless absolutely necessary. (Note: Their fourth dimension, the spatial fourth dimension, actually slots somewhere between the third dimension and the fourth official dimension, time)

Name: Balloonicite
Image: It is a creature similar to a jellyfish. Its body is a clear, pale-blue, balloon-like one. It has a small hole which acts as its mouth and a source of thrust and can open up surprisingly wide. Think of an opaque balloon, with its nozzle cut off. Then add six jellyfish-like tentacles and a few solider blotches for the various glands. Diet: Organic material smaller than it.
Height: 8cm to 80cm, depending on depth.
Description: The Balloonicites are similar to jellyfish on Earth. They live in freezing cold oceans and breathe oxygen or nearly anything containing oxygen. They eat by swallowing their food whole and dissolving and absorbing it. They also have poison secretion glands, somewhat simple eyes, electromagnetic sense and stinging/sticking semi-prehensile tentacles. Additionally, they and the other life-forms on their planet appear to be immune to cryogenics, otherwise they wouldn't live.
To create more young, tiny babies grow on their insides. Then, when they are ready, the Balloonicite's body bursts and the babies feed on the remains. Breeding season (although that name doesn't work) is roughly every 4 of their years.
They also have a tendency to do everything in 30s. When they reproduce they make 30 babies. And they hunt in 30s whenever possible (as this allows for the formation of a ball-like shape from the whole pack).
Habitat: They live in the cold liquid oxygen/nitrogen oceans of their planet, at any depth. It is also technically possible for them to float in the air.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling winced as the Wohkrik continue to ignore orders, and just do whatever they want. That discription is not actually true though, the Wohkrik are not listening to every urge they have. The Wohkrik do indeed have self control, and a loyalty to the group muchlikethe Sizzz-Shling. The difference is that centuries of being alive have warped their minds and made the Sizzz-Shli seem distantdremote. And as the group seems farther, individuals felt closer, though the group made of Woh-Kopah remained. At the moment this young group is still learning to organize itself, but moves are already being made.

OOC: today is the annual celebration of my arrival upon this third rock from Sol.

IC: The Sizzz-Shling continue to work even as the Wohkrik organize themselves. The translucent and intangible draconians have started to develop a culture, though at the moment they are not sure what to focus on. One thing ever present to them is their own lack of life, their inability to feel reality or to die, so a sense that Wohkrikare not alive had started to emerge. IC: The Sizzz-Shling have bothered to stop watching the Wohkrik, for safari as the reptilians have realized there is nothing they can do to the draconans' even if they share Sizzz-Shling secrets to enemies. A hope that emerges is that enough emotional ties to the Sizzz-Shling and their mental state that they wil not be able to betray the reptilians directly. They have proven able to ignore rules andorders, but at the moment they haven't done anything actively traitorous. Balloonicites/Avios

An extremely useful way of identifying the chemical composition of something has been established. For a while it had been known that passing a light through a prism split it into 7 different colours known as the colours of the spectrum. This gave evidence that light travels in straight lines and white light is comprised of a mixture of different colours of light.

Recently, however, it was noticed that light emitted from heated materials only split into select parts of the spectrum. A pattern was soon identified that these spectral lines, as they had been identified, were in direct correlation with the chemical composition of the substance in question, specifically that of its elements. This new technique of spectroscopy can now be used to more accurately determine the elemental composition of materials.

Description: The Tesseracts are a race of four-dimensional humanoids. To a three-dimensional viewer they appear to be some kind of weird pulsating gel-like being with reflections of itself inside, coloured opaque clear with a mild tint of green. As beings from a higher dimension, they can perform incredible feats of apparent teleportation, bypassing almost all physical barriers, can manipulate 3D objects with ease and appear impervious to damage. However, they are still vulnerable to equal and higher dimensions, such as themselves, time and psychic power. They find it difficult to collect sustenance from the meagre three-dimensional food so nutrition is a big issue. They also have a strict code for not killing unless absolutely necessary. (Note: Their fourth dimension, the spatial fourth dimension, actually slots somewhere between the third dimension and the fourth official dimension, time)

Name: Balloonicite
Image: It is a creature similar to a jellyfish. Its body is a clear, pale-blue, balloon-like one. It has a small hole which acts as its mouth and a source of thrust and can open up surprisingly wide. Think of an opaque balloon, with its nozzle cut off. Then add six jellyfish-like tentacles and a few solider blotches for the various glands. Diet: Organic material smaller than it.
Height: 8cm to 80cm, depending on depth.
Description: The Balloonicites are similar to jellyfish on Earth. They live in freezing cold oceans and breathe oxygen or nearly anything containing oxygen. They eat by swallowing their food whole and dissolving and absorbing it. They also have poison secretion glands, somewhat simple eyes, electromagnetic sense and stinging/sticking semi-prehensile tentacles. Additionally, they and the other life-forms on their planet appear to be immune to cryogenics, otherwise they wouldn't live.
To create more young, tiny babies grow on their insides. Then, when they are ready, the Balloonicite's body bursts and the babies feed on the remains. Breeding season (although that name doesn't work) is roughly every 4 of their years.
They also have a tendency to do everything in 30s. When they reproduce they make 30 babies. And they hunt in 30s whenever possible (as this allows for the formation of a ball-like shape from the whole pack).
Habitat: They live in the cold liquid oxygen/nitrogen oceans of their planet, at any depth. It is also technically possible for them to float in the air.

Climates: Really cold (-190C to -220C) at the poles. Then warmer near the equator (-180C to -150C)
Terrain: The atmosphere is made up of hydrogen gas and helium. The poles constitute of oceans which are made of liquid oxygen and nitrogen. Away from the poles is mostly land. This land is covered in permafrost. Tectonic movements have made the super-continent which is a large band around the planet not a perfectly straight band but have numerous bits sticking into or away from the poles.
Other: One year is equivalent to 8 Earth Years, and one day is equivalent to 6 Earth Days.

Terrain: Liquid oxygen/nitrogen oceans covering a vast majority of the planet, with a hydrogen/neon atmosphere. At the depths of the oceans there are vast deposits of iron oxide. The ocean is impaled by tall and incredibly steep spires/mountains, the cause of which is currently unknown.
