I'm not joining, (I suck at art =D) but I just wanted to say, "Y'all are da bomb! I luv all of the drawings! Keep it up!

I've recently found that outlining a drawing with yellow highlighter makes it look really cool, but the downside is that you'll probably get a headache from doing so.

Anyways, just to remind people, taking creature request. These are basically small drawings of said creature and will be colored traditionally. See my Concept Creature Sheet to see what I mean. =)

Also another note, I finally got my "Hero" Creature a design. Expect to see a picture of him soon. I really going to try hard to recreate him within Spore itself but I know I'll run into problems. The bandages on his arms and legs, the left arm which is disfigured and looks different from the rest of his body and then the scarf he wears.

Any suggests on making him within Spore?

There is some True Talent on this Page My Cousin can Draw some Wicked Creations, but the Artistic Gene Skipped me I guess.

As regarding to my art skills, well... Usually I'm not very good, but it's amazing what a drawing tablet and a nice little program called ArtRage can do for your skills. I drew a creature of mine, the Elkando.

This is what they look like in-game:

(Note this Elkando is wearing traditional religious Elkan robes)

I think it turned out quite nice. This was the first time I used the program ArtRage, which is a really amazing application for creating this kind of stuff (though it has nowhere the editing abilities of Photoshop, the drawing abilities are amazing). Unfortunately I found out I forgot the wings too late. Meh. Might add them later.

I love the feature this week! The sculptures are wonderful, too. I know they are in another thread, but they should have a link or something. There are not that many sculptors here.

I haven't done any in years, and nothing on such a large scale since college, so I'm very impressed.

I'm also impressed with how well the line art is translated into creatures.

Aside :: the comment about the yellow highlighter cracks me up. I have a friend on another site who's Id is "____IsHighOnMarkers".

@Disami: Your welcome to do that, go ahead. =D I've been keeping up with the people on dA, but it would be great to try out people's creations in Spore too.

@MaxGraphix: Really love your stuff, I like the cartoony-ness in your drawings.

@Ricotez: Also love the draw you did of your creature, my suggestion is that next time try to go over the outlines with a black marker or something dark to bring out the details better.

@ashkelon: Yay! You got to see my stuff. =3 I've done some crazy sculptures in the past and I have so many more I want to do. Some future ideas included the life size Hellhound, my creature Jackel and even a life size "Jersey Devil" sculpture (those who live and NJ would understand why). As of my line art, I've had tons of practice int he years and even did summer classes at a comic book school, so inking is something I understand very well. Great thing is tomorrow I'm going to NYC and we're stopping a store called "Evolution" on our field trip. They have a lot of creepy stuff that would do great for some art work. xD;
