Cast of Characters

Username: Euphoric_Turtle
Character name: Creed
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Species: Hexadragon
Aspect: Poison
Appearance: Creed is about the size of a Labrador. Being a Hexadragon gives him an excuse for such an exotic appearance. He has three pairs of light blue eyes, six legs each with two toes, and has only one long tail. He has no wings but makes up for that in his quick agility. His colors represent one of a tropical bird of red, blue, and yellow. He has a 'mane' of light blue feathers going from the back of his neck to his lower back. The only horns he has are light blue and almost blend in with the feathers. He has hidden fangs in his mouth, and is armored poison spurs around each of his feet. http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=hexadragon&order=9&offset=0#/di11iz
Abilities: The fangs he hides in his mouth deliver a paralyzing venom, even the slightest would completely paralyze a human in less than a minute. The spurs located behind his feet have a poison if inflicted on a creature will deliver incredible pain.
Occupation: Bartender
Personality/Bio: Despite his small size compared to other dragons he's very feisty. Creed is quite the showoff and won't miss his chance in getting with the ladies. Quite optimistic, he rarely lets anything get him down and always lets others know how well he's doing. Creed's good at making friends and hates being alone, he's not one for dark things he's a realistic type of guy. He may be a loud-mouth but don't let this fool you, he's not afraid to get in a brawl and always expects on winning it. Creed wanted to be converted into a dragon to leave his boring human life. He thought becoming one would add some excitement into his life. If there's one thing he won't do it's attacking a women, he believes highly in chivalry and will never break this belief.

Character name: Achuak Welun (call him Ak, name means Green Moon)
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Species: Hexadragon
Aspect: Storm
Appearance: Imagine a crocodile shrunk down to the size of a German Shepard. The scales of Achuak are very smooth, a little wet feeling actually. He has deep blue eyes which he has eight of, a deep indigo. Blue feathers wrap around his neck and ankles/wrists. He has four legs (two more arm-like limbs), almost like a spider (one that is mixing two legs.) His neck splits into heads, the left one has a scar running across one of his eight eyes, he tells multiple stories of how it happened, but the real story is that he had fell on a sharp stone three years ago. He has three claws on his each of his feet. Also, he has two tails, both covered in a indigo color. His two wings are multicolored between green, indigo, and forming a swirling mix of colors.
Abilities: Can breathe a little lightning cloud from his mouth, much like Westerns do with fire. Sometimes he can even make himself electrically charged. Also, his claws seem to be always charged, and that's about it.
Occupation: Neighborhood Homeless Man/Kid
Personality/Bio: Ak is a solitude living dragon, homeless and living in the alleys is totally his choice, one could tell since he quit his job for this. Why? Well, it's mostly the fact that he hates humans, and dragons that work with humans. now, he'd never do anything stupid, like killing a human, though he still detests them enough where he thinks about it.

He lived most of his life as a dragon that often changed jobs every few months. He's been a vast array of jobs I can't even list them. He always ended up quitting because he hated his boss. Whether it be the nicest boss ever, he still hate him/her. Now, he quit his last job, and for the last couple of years he lives homeless and jobless in the alleys.
Theme song: Yellow

Username: Jalines
Character name: Evakylir (ee-VACK-ill-leer), or "lonely one;" goes by Ev
Gender: Male
Age: 21 as a human, now 8 as a dragon
Species: Luong
Aspect: Poison
Appearance: Ev generally has the average shape of a Luong dragon, with a long, snaky body that is just over 4 ft long -- about one third of which is tail -- and 2 ft tall. His body is mostly covered in large scales of a bright yellow-green color, though his underside is more of a pale green. His scales are moderately protective, but he has no additional armoring structures on his body. His legs are just longer than average and rather slender, but they have a toned musculature from his tendency to run or jump rather than completely fly for transportation. His head, a little lighter in color than his body, is a rather boxy shape with long yellow "whiskers" (those tendril-ish things Luong have, whatever those are called) at the side of his mouth even at his young age. However, also despite his age, the two horns on the top of his head are rather short. His ears are proportionally long and narrow, and they go straight back to form a mostly even line with the top of his head. His nostrils are prominent like in most Luong. His eyes are mostly a slightly dull green, with a few lines of yellow radiating out from his slit-like pupils. His teeth are short and only mildly sharp, and are usually green from a coating of poison that naturally forms over them (more below). His claws, which are uncolored since they don't have the poison his teeth have, are a bit short and about the same sharpness as his teeth. He has a short "mane" around the back of his head that is colored in a gradient from green to yellow as it goes outward. He also has a short ridge of the same material and color as the mane along his back and some of his tail. His tail ends in a bit of this material like in many Luong, though there isn't much at his age.
Abilities:
-Poison Breath: Ev can breathe out a green-colored poisonous gas that will quickly weaken most things but not kill without prolonged exposure. Unfortunately, he constantly exhales a small amount of poison, which requires constant effort to stop. He can also focus his power for a much more densely poisonous breath, though he has hardly ever needed to do so. He can use this power in a versatile manner, either breathing streams of poison or, with great effort, a sort of poisonous blast. The poison gas will fade after a long while, and it slowly floats upward. It doesn't seem to affect plants, though it possibly might with long enough exposure. Ev's state of mind seems to affect how much poison he produces, with more poison the more intensely he's feeling something.
-Poison Resistance: Ev is very resistant to being affected by many kinds of toxic substances, though perhaps less so against special toxins created by magic. He is also only minorly resistant to acidic or corrosive substances as opposed to toxic ones. Still, he is pretty much unable to be killed outright by any poison alone, although the most potent can weaken him.
-Poison Absorption: Ev is able to inhale toxic gases to clear them from the air, and he slowly degrades any poison that he ingests or that enters his bloodstream. In large amounts, he can gain energy from these poisons. However, while he quickly mastered taking back in the poison he creates himself, absorbing other poisons may be more difficult. These more difficult substances will take longer to degrade, and they may weaken him slightly in the meantime if they are particularly powerful. This ability is generally easier or harder based on his resistance to the substance.
-Venomous Bite: Ev automatically produces a layer of liquid poison that surrounds his teeth, weakening and harming any living thing he bites. When used, the poison is removed from his teeth and must be regenerated. This happens slowly without any special effort, but he can focus on it to restore the poison more quickly.
-Poison Sense: Ev can detect poisonous substances by sight, smell, and taste. When he sees something poisonous, it appears to give off a green glow that becomes more intense the more poisonous the substance is. The glow will only appear when he can actually see the substance, though even small amounts of light will work. In addition, poisonous substances Ev smells or swallows will be generally sharp and tangy, though every substance has a slightly different odor and taste. His own poison has a glow and scent like any other, though he's gotten used to his own poison enough to ignore its smell and taste.
Occupation: None
Personality/Bio: Terry Greer, as Ev was known in his human life, was always something of a loner; he was very shy and severely lacked ambition. He hardly ever did work beyond what was required of him by school, even though he was (and still is) intelligent and logical. His general lack of attention toward anything else caused him to miss even obvious signs of a deadly illness taking hold of his mother until it was too late. It may have even been his neglect itself that caused her to worsen so quickly. When she died from the illness, Terry's father blamed him for neglecting her and refused to communicate with him again. Suddenly without his family, Terry at last realized his tragic faults of inactivity and self-concern, breaking down into depression for several months. However, he then saw conversion into a dragon as an opportunity to start his life over and correct his past mistakes. After being accepted for the program, he hatched as a dragon with a personal promise to right his wrongs by applying himself and considering others. That's why it was so devastating to discover that he would always exhale poisonous gas unless he applies constant focus into stopping it, forcing him to constantly stay away from others to spare them from his poison. He chose to symbolize both his new life and his plight in a new name: Evakylir, or "lonely one." For several years after his hatching, he was once again distraught and depressed about his terrible misfortune, but he has since accepted his existence and vowed to make the best of it by trying each day to become better at suppressing his power, though he has had very slow progress. He also hangs on to the hope that there is some way -- though he cannot imagine what -- to keep the poison under control for a longer time at once or even permanently. He now lives in a very small, secluded cave under a formation of boulders about 3 miles west of Jessica's outskirts, chosen because it is removed from civilization so that he cannot endanger anyone. To forget his human life, he only goes by his dragon name and tells no one his former one. He retains his intelligence and logical thinking, though his young dragon age makes logic difficult sometimes. To take his mind off of his solitude, he collects anything interesting he finds, like peculiar rocks, stray bottle caps, and the like. He has more respect for humans than some dragons might because he was once human himself, while he of course respects dragons as well now that he is one. He tries to be considerate and kind toward others, but having never been too social in his human life and now having been in seclusion so long, he wouldn't have a good idea of what to say should he ever be in a conversation. In addition, his first reaction when he encounters anyone else is to warn them to stay away so he doesn't harm them. He would like to meet a poison dragon in the hopes that they might be immune to his poisonous breath, but since he mostly keeps to himself, he has not yet had the good fortune even with the rising dragon population. He technically has the ability of magic-powered flight like any Luong, but his attempts to fly so far have been chaotic and uncontrolled, so he's actually kind of scared to try it for fear that he'll crash into something. He gets around by running or, more often, using his flight in short bursts to make massive leaps. He can also sustain great falls with his flight power.

Username: KING_DCT
Character name: Thirkesin Iejir (Goes by Thirk, the first name comes from [thirkuir- changing, caesin- forest] and last name [Iejir- blood] which pretty much means he changes like the forest does.)
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Species: Drake
Aspect: Wood
Appearance: Thirk's is about 16 feet long, from neck to tail. Even though he is that long, about more than half og his length goes to his tail, it being longer than he is He is a bit muscular, but doe to his body shape and strength he is pretty speedy. He is a bit different then most drakes and most dragons. For example unlike most dragons, excluding the Luong, Thirk has long fiber like hairs that are under his scales. Some hairs, like under his tail, his front arms, his back feet, and his lower jaw and upper chest, are without scales. Due the the large hairs replacing the scales, he is a little more vulnerable in said area. Also, due to the vast ammount of hairs and their rather large lengths, he can jump far enough and stay in the air long enough for it to be called a short glide. He also has three yellow eyes, one of which, being the middle one, isn't used for seeing, it is used to sense temperture changes, like if one area is hotter than another, or if its colder in one area, than another. Also, his feet are more like paws and within those paws are protractile claws, similar to those of cats, that can hook on to trees and whatnot. Another key point about Thirk, is his ability to change color. For him normally, his scales are a light green color, with white hairs. Though, lets say it's winter time, his scales would now be white and his hairs would be thicker and light blue colored. As for fall, his scales for would brown and his hair would stay the same white color. Though his light green scale color changes form light to dark in between Spring and Summer. So to sum it up, his scales and hair changes color to each specific season. Though in spring, his hairs turn a light blonde color, and in summer, they go back to white. (Heres a pic of him: link)
Abilities: His abilities are as followed:
~Temperture Sense~: Just as previously stated in the description, Thirk can sense the different tempertures in the air or on the ground. Like if another dragon has used Fire breath or Ice Breath a good ways away, if Thirk, closed his left and right eye, and opened his middle eye he could sense where they are and how hot or how cold it is.
~Seasonal Change~: Just as i said in the discription, Thirk's scales and hairs change due to the different seasons. It has nothing to do with camouflage, he just changes like the forest does went it goes through the differetn seasons.
~Nature Healing~: This is one weird ability, but anyway, what he does is he creates green sap like saliva in his mouth, and he can rub it on his or others wounds and in time the wound will heal. He can also do this do a tree or plant that might be dead or at the risk of dieing.
~Nature's Point~ He has not really mastered this part of him yet, but, when scared are threatend, Thirk can tense up his body and the hairs on his front arms and tail become increasingly stronger, tighter and finer. He can use them as a weapon like as small needles, or if he really needed to use them, he could wrap them around each other and use them as a blade or some kind of lance.
Occupation: None at the moment, he could be a hermit if he wanted to.
Personality/Bio: Being a Wood Drake, Thrik, usually stays in the woods by himself. He is not a fan of being alone, but he can stand it for a while, though he will tend to find others when he is done with being alone. He even will show off a bit, with his powers and abilities, though they are nothing really worth looking at. Thirk, would like to have friends but isnt the best when it comes to "breaking the ice", mainly because he is kind of the silent type. He also is one to fall for the ladies, mainly because he rarely sees them where he usually goes, and he will sometimes act like a goof or a showoff to get thier attention, but after that he wont know what to do or say to them.
Theme song: Unstoppable
Other: Just so you know he eats nothing but sticks and insects.

Username: Legs250
Character name: Irinix Flametail (the first name comes from that translator [irisiv- heal, nixeu- flame] so, essentially, he is the Healing Flame). His old name was Doc Blackthorn, but he figured a name change was needed for his new life.
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Species: Wyvern
Aspect: Fire
Appearance: Irinix looks much like your average wyvern. He has red scales over his body, and the other details are a golden color. The head is shaped like a normal wyvern's, and the eye's pupils are a golden color. He has a forked tongue, along with golden fangs (which happen to be quite sharp). His head looks rather intelligent for a wyvern, while still retaining the usual wyvern ferocity. He has two golden horns on the top of his head as well. His neck is long, flexible, tail-like necks like wyverns have, and golden spikes go down his back towards his tail, where they stop near the tip of his tail. His body is rather small for a wyvern's, and is slightly sleeker than what somewould think of the usually nasty-looking species. He does have rather nice muscle structure, however. He has rather large wings that are tipped with golden claws, and the wings follow the usual bat-like design (still having five fingers, but they are spread out along the wing for better wing control). His legs are not suited for running (have you ever met a wyvern like that?), and, you guessed it, have golden claws at the tips of the toes. Irinix's tail is unproprtional from the rest of his body; it is very long and has a strange, golden trident-like potrusion at the tip where a barb might be on other dragons. This trident of sorts is missing the middle piece, and, in it's place, there is a small hole that, with focus and practice, a flame can be ejected from.
Abilities: Irinix's abilities are as follows- He can spit fire from his mouth, he can create a flame at the end of his trident/tail tip, he can see thermal energy (rather like a snake; this ability is able to be turned off and requires practice to use like all abilities), and he can repair wounds by touching them (this, however, can drain him quickly, depending on the size of said wound).
Occupation: Irinix does not currently have any work, although he used to work as a nurse before the RP begins.
Personality/Bio: Irinix tries to be kind to everyone, and cannot seem to hold grudges for very long. He occassionally 'zones out', which has often caused problems in the workplace (resulting in the loss of his job, actually). He prefers to think his way through a problem, so it came as a bit of a shock when he learned he was a wyvern with the fire aspect. He had wanted to become a dragon because... Well, it was kind of an experiment to see what would happen, and then, after thinking about it for a while, he decided that it was what he really wanted.
Theme song: None, at the moment.

Username: Michangs
Character name: Temezren (Tem for short. It's similar to the translation of "fast flow." He was named so because he is very eager and energetic when pursuing something he wants and sometimes not as calm as one might expect of a water dragon. It is also because he is quite intelligent, so knowledge flows into his brain quickly.)
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Species: Common Western
Aspect: Water
Appearance: His general shape isn't much different from your standard Western dragon. He is 3 feet tall (on all fours), 6 1/2 feet long (tip of the snout to the tip of the tail), and 2 1/2 feet wide (without his wings spread). His wingspan is the same as his length at its widest. Overall, his body is more lean and agile than muscular, both from his age and the fact that he's just naturally that way. Most of his body is covered in rich medium blue scales. His underside, by contrast, is gray-blue. His teeth are sharp but not particularly long, and they are all completely hidden when he closes the long muzzle that is his mouth. His eyes have pleasant light-ish blue irises around mildly slitted pupils. In place of horns, two large fins come from either side of the back of his head, which can pick up sound and essentially serve as his ears. From the top of his head all the way down to the tip of his tail, his back is lined with a much shorter, finlike ridge. His neck is slightly shorter than that of the average Western dragon, but still fits his proportions well. His wings aren't remarkably different in shape from the usual Western ones. The solid, bony parts of his wings are the same rich color as his topside, and the thin, sail-like membranes are lighter blue, similar to his eyes. While the feet on his forelegs are distinctly draconian, with long, sharp, deep blue talons at the tip of each of his thick claws, one of the four individual claws on each foot is rather like a thumb, allowing him to grasp objects with some success. The feet of his back legs are slightly heavier, with thicker claws and larger talons, and cannot be used like hands. His tail makes up about 3 feet of his body length.
Abilities: -Water Control: Can move water with his mind - change currents, throw waves, keep a coat of water on something, etc., or even move water inside a living thing to cleanse it of toxins or kill it violently. He also has limited control over the movement of water vapor and the temperature of water, and very slight control over ice.
-Water Healing: Can use water to accelerate the rate at which he heals his own wounds. Drinking is good, swimming is better. Breathing extra-humid air also energizes him and keeps him healthy. A wound that would take 3 days to heal normally would be healed in just under a day by drinking a whole lot and in a few hours by submerging the wound the entire time. This takes a lot of food from his body and cannot work if he is underfed. He's never proven himself to be able to heal others, but he thinks there is a small chance he may be able to with plenty of practice.
-Water Breathing: Can breathe water as if it was air and speak with normal clarity underwater.
-Water Sense: Is always aware of where water is if he's within about a third of a mile of it. He senses its location more exactly as he gets closer, and if he's within about a hundred feet of it, he can tell its temperature, purity, and state of matter (if he can't just use his eyes for the last one).
Occupation: Assistant librarian in a library on the southwestern outskirts of Jessica's suburbs.
Personality/Bio: Temezren, a second-generation dragon, grew up in the wild, out in the woods of Texas, which was his only option since he hatched in 2013, when his kind was being hunted down. One of the first things he learned was how to live entirely off of his natural surroundings; food came, and still comes, easily to such a powerful predator as a dragon. He lived this way for much of his life, practicing his abilities and meeting other dragons as he avoided slayers, like many others did. About four years ago, he finally ventured to Jessica, where he learned much about human society. More importantly to him, though, he found that humans had discovered a wealth of knowledge and recorded it in books. As a very curious dragon, he couldn't help but leap at any informational text he found after discovering this and learning all it contained. Driven by a passion and talent for learning, Tem spent the next few years constantly studying from whatever books he could find, educating himself with remarkable success. About half a year ago, Tem decided to fill the newly-available assistant librarian's position at Junehall Library since he spent most of his time there anyway. He does his job well enough, but with the way he gets easily distracted by doing reading of his own, he, shall we say, doesn't get a lot of raises.
Tem doesn't live anywhere in particular. He rarely spends time in Jessica other than to study. For meals and nights, he goes to the forests to find food on his own and find somewhere in the forest to sleep, not necessarily one specific place.
His age combined with his intelligence allows Temezren to have a decent understanding of how the world works in general as well as how human society functions. He still has more to learn, of course, but he's certainly not a mere child. If asked, he might give you some very interesting philosophies.
Temezren is, overall, a quiet character. He likes to keep to himself when he can and generally avoids associating with others when he doesn't need to. When he does talk to people, though, he turns out to be quite amiable and pleasant. He has a deep sense of duty and responsibility that doesn't show so much in his daily life, but if he was ever brought to it, he would stick with any task he believed was just until its end. As a rule, he is more trusting of dragons than humans, but has learned never to judge solely by stereotypes.
Theme song: None for now; I'll see if I can get YouTube to like me enough to get one on here.

Username: Prospo
Character name: Talon Smith
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Species: Wyvern
Aspect: ice
Appearance: The typical wyvern build, perhaps a little thinner than healthy but not like you can see his ribs. He hasn't yet grown into his overly long tail, which still makes the lady dragons giggle when they see it. His white scales are a little grungy, but nothing a good rain couldn't fix. His right ear has been torn a little, barely noticeable, however he likes to sport it as a battle scar. In truth he got it when he fell off a roof and brisked(word?) by a flag pole. It was his first flight attempt when his wings were not large enough. Now however his wings are large and healty, actualy they are probably the most attractive part of his body to the girl dragons. His horns are stubs and probably won't grow much more, his scales haven't yet hardened, and he's a little on the small side. All in all he's a wyvern hitting puberty.(with a blindfold on)
Abilities: He Breathes out cooler temperatures and actually uses this to "cook" his food as well as give it hypothermia when he hunts, also when he's trying to impress a girl he makes little snow flakes for her to watch. He also has a self-defense mechanism he uses, extra liquids in his body can frozen and packed with solid wastes. He can literally shoot out these ice pellet using a powerful gag reflex. He has developed a resistance to the cold. Ice can also build ontop of his scales when he is scared, angry, or upset. This is a natural reaction that strengthens his defenses against adversaries. He doesn't really like to sit still but can lie motionless for hours in a state of hibernation, he hasn't tried it but he could possibly do it for several days.
Occupation: None, dreams of one day becoming rich through hoarding.
Personality/Bio: Rebellious, witty, sometimes ignorant and rash. He grew up with his mother, a first generation convert, who was extremely overbearing. Honestly though, what would you do if your kid has a price on his head from the moment he was born. He however does not see this and simply thinks it was simply her being overprotective, she never let him play in the snow(his powers didn't become evident until he was six), and embarrased him in front of any dragon they ever met. When the persecution began to die down and the DOD set up shop, she made him read all the pamplets and booklets they posted at the stand. It was her trying to "educate" him. His father on the other hand was very unruling and when a local peacekeeper group became suspicious he flew off with a couple other dragons to deal with it. Talon never saw his dad again, for he was captured and then freed by the DOD and introduced in northern canada. After this Talon left his mother, not running away but leaving the nest. She lives on the other side of the city and frequently checks up on him, to his annoyance.

Username: SandraMJ
Character name: Giovanni Porta (Gio). It's an Italian-American name okay :U
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Species: Wyvern (no really?)
Aspect: Ice (too late for water. Buh buh.)
Appearance: Gio looks pretty skinny, from a draconic point of view, but he compenses it being almost half a head bigger than most people (your mileage may vary). A row of reddish smalt plaques, thick scales you'd say, go down his jaw to the end of his tail. Little grey aerodinamically shaped scales cover the rest of his body.

He has a pair of short, slighty twisted going to black horns decorating the back of his head, two almond shaped red eyes shine in his deep eyesockets, almost giving the impression of having eyebags, and a thin snout covered by a row of small brown-going-to-grey spikes completes his head.

Finally, his tail results kind of unnecesarily long for his height. I don't know what else I could tell you, really, so moving on.
Abilities: The guy knows how to spit ice, but since that sounds stupidly unuseful, he also knows how to freeze small sources of water (i.e. name a short length of a pipe) and extend already existent ice (he could make an ice cube extend its size slightly)
Occupation: He's a pizza deliverer. Maybe. Sometimes.
Personality/Bio: Gio is a short tempered, but easygoing if you know how to deal with him, young wyvern. He was converted into a dragon when it was some kind of secret fashion to do so, as he wanted a fresh start of his boring life as an office worker -who can blame him?- Not much has been up in his life ever since. Well, apart of the general thing between humans and dragons, I mean. So you know, it's not even weird anymore seeing a wyvern fly around transporting a bunch of pizzas. Heck, they even made a special uniform for him.

Gio likes to pull pranks on everyone, but he can be serious only when extremely needed. He has a hard time focusing on doing tasks, so he sometimes forgets about his job and simply flies away. Takes a pizza, enjoys the scennery, back to work -he hasn't been kicked because of how useful he is compared to usual pizza deliverers!- and oh well. He sometimes wonders what will be his next step when he gets bored of giving/eating pizzas. Only time will say.
Theme song: Franz Ferdinand was too tempting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=los6obvBbqU

Username: Wolfji
Character name: Sebastian Grimes (I must once again thank Seventh Sanctum)
Gender: Male
Age: 42
Occupation: Dragonslayer.
Magic user: No
Weapons: A .44 magnum, and a Boys anti-tank rifle (converted to fire .50 browning US cartridges, for easier availability of ammunition.).
Spells: None, of course.
Appearance: A grizzled man, appearing to be already in his fifties. His full head of graying hair is kept in a clean professional cut. His stern blue eyes are complimented greatly by his slight wrinkles, and roman nose, giving him a stern and gruff face. His body is mostly normal, mild amounts of muscle, and clear evidence of war days long gone dot him. What he wears depends greatly upon what he is doing, at most times being found in a white T-shirt, a plaid jacket of some kind, and work jeans.
Personality/Bio: Sebastian grew up impoverished in a small slum in Arizona, life was hard for him there, the challenge of everyday life being a real challenge. He always hated it there with his parents and sister, all of whom were dead by now, his sister having died the earliest, while he was ten. The loss of her was the only one that had actually affected him in anyway besides momentary loss. He’d always loved her, and she was so young then, and he’d always felt he could have protected her, despite the fact that he was no where near her when it had occurred. As soon as he was able to, he enlisted in the military for several years, so as to make money and perhaps, live somewhere safe for the rest of his life. Upon getting out, he moved to Texas, and got a simple, at home job, and took up gun collecting. As soon as the dragons showed up, he felt a great deal of insecurity with them around, and had become a dragonslayer, deputizing his anti-tank rifle, whether local law enforcement knew (and they don’t) or not. The recent level of acceptance for dragons has not affected him, and he still feels they are merely animals masquerading as intelligent. Though laws prevent him from doing what he believes is his duty for the human race.
Theme song: Might add one one day.

Username: Wolfpaw8
Character name: Kaldra (means fox, referring to her sneaky, cautious personality)
Gender: female
Age: 20
Species: western
Aspect: storm
Appearance:( http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=lightning dragon&order=9&offset=24#/d1lq06v)
Kaldra is pure black along most of her body, the black doesn’t reflect light well which aids in her ability to avoid discovery with ease. Her eyes are blood red with no pupils or surrounding whites, just straight red. This might give the impression that she’s evil or destructive, but she’s far from it. She is actually very caring to others, especially those younger than herself. Her claws are long, five on each paw, pearly white, with no bloodstains. Her wingspan is about seven feet from back to wingtip; the wings are black like her body scales.
On her underbelly, the scales are light blue, with darker blue scales running down the center of them. They continue from the start of her neck to the tip of her tail. She has many spikes; most are black like her scales, but the other type I will explain a little bit later. They are on her shoulders, on her head starting behind her eyes, one side of her arms and legs, and running down her back. They grow larger on her tail, much larger and sharper, making them better for fighting. Now, back to the unusual spikes; they’re transparent for the most part, light blue in color. On them are strange designs that seem to resemble either twisting bolts of lightning or a strange form of writing.
Abilities: Kaldra can breathe lightning, but not huge amounts as each blast drains her a little. She can coat her claws with electricity. She can also summon small storms, ranging from tornadoes to thunderstorms.
Occupation: None, she’s a wanderer.
Personality/Bio: Personality: Kaldra is very cautious, often preferring to hide when she sees someone to approaching them. This stems from her rough childhood, full of pain and betrayal. Despite her bloody past, she’s become sort of a mother hen to all younglings. If she meets and begins to care about a younger creature, be it human or dragon, she’ll become very protective of them. She’ll watch over them, a scaly guardian angel, keeping them safe and destroying all who would attempt to harm them. She hasn’t found someone to care for like that since her parents died because after that she retreated into a National Park.
Bio: Kaldra had a loving mother, Dask, mother in dragon tounge. They raised her in Yellowstone National Park, far away from most humans. They had a wonderful life; there was an abundance of prey, mostly white-tailed deer and elk. But when Kaldra turned sixteen things took a turn for the worst. Another dragon had scented them; he was a teenager, eager for his own plot of land and all the prey that came with it. His name was Malsvir, which loosely translates to evil, a fitting name for this heartless hunter. His scales were blood red and his eyes were black with a silver slitted pupil. His claws and muzzle were already stained with the remains of one of his brethren, he’d slashed him to pieces when his parents thrust them out on their own. His brother, Zaja , had been weak, Malsvir had viewed him as a waste of dragon flesh, unworthy of the powers dragons possessed. So he ripped out his heart the first chance he got and feasted on his Zaja’s remains. Malsvir then took to the sky, eager to find new territory in a National Park. He ended up in Yellowstone and when he caught the scents of a mother and her sixteen year old daughter, he knew that this was likely the easiest option.
He winged ever closer to Kaldra and Dask’s cave, situated near the peak of a waterfall overlooking Lamar Valley. Kaldra lay curled up in sleep, her mother standing at the cave entrance. It happened in a blur, one second her mother was turning, coming inside, the next she was pulled off the edge by a crimson dragon. Kaldra leapt up, aiming to fight back, but by the time she flew to the rocks near the waterfall’s base Malsvir was biting into Dask’s neck. It was the death blow.
Kaldra panicked and flew into the trees, cringing at the vicious laughter floating through the air after her. She left Yellowstone, wandering for the next four years of her life, before returning to her childhood home. She’d aimed on taking revenge on Malsvir for her mother’s murder, but the DoD had already taken care of that. A few weeks after word arrived at their council of Malsvir’s actions, they’d sent a team of five peacekeepers to euthanize the dangerous individual. Furious when she found out, but powerless to change the past, Kaldra settled into a semi-normal life in the cave she and her mother had once shared.

The Dragonheart Cafe was doing a booming lunch business as usual. It was an attraction for anyone who came to the Jessica area, because it was the only reputable place where you could get a hamburger cooked by dragon fire. A steady stream of tourists kept things lively, while regular business from the locals (dragons in particular) made sure the bills were always paid. The restaurant was decorated in a medieval theme, and customers could see back into the kitchen where their famous burgers were being prepared. Whenever a patty was finished cooking, it would be passed down to the end of the line where a fire dragon would flip it into the air, give it a good char with his breath, and plate it.

From one corner of the dining area, some customers could see the phone in the back, where the manager (a purple drake with a black swirly pattern in his scales, wearing a clean-ish white apron) was listening with a worried expression. He nodded and hung up the phone, then bolted into the dining room, almost knocking over a waitress. Nobody had ever seen the manager act this way before; something must have been amiss. He grabbed the remote for the TV in the corner of the room and switched off the football game amid cries of protest from the customers. He flipped through the channels until he finally found the news.

"Quiet down, this is important!" he snarled. The entire room fell silent as the commercial break ended. A male newscaster sat in a fairly typical set for a news program, next to a graphic that read "Tragedy befalls dragon community."

"This is Wolf News, bringing you dependable coverage from North America and the world," he began. "This morning, the dragon species received its biggest setback in recent history when their queen Aurnia was found murdered near her cave. Correspondent Wendy Dodson is live on location. Wendy, what can you tell us?"

The camera changed to the outskirts of the woods south of Jessica. Wendy was a sky-blue western dragon holding a microphone. She seemed visibly distraught, but she was still doing a good job maintaining her composure. Behind her were emergency response vehicles of all kinds, but mostly ambulances, coroner's vans, and HAZMAT vehicles. A radiation scrubber was set up, and most of the people going back and forth were wearing radiation suits. A steady stream of small body bags was going into and out of the woods.

"Thank you, Bill. Aurnia was found dead around 5:00 AM today. All signs currently point to murder. Her body was found dismembered and partially eaten, with a twelve-foot section of rebar driven through her cranium. The remains of the suspected perpetrators have been recovered. Their identities are unknown, but we do know that they were dragons. Further identification will require dental records, due to the condition of the corpses. Here we have police captain Gerald Stackpole with more details."

The interview with the captain was fairly dry, but there were a few useful pieces of information: Time of death was around 3:00 AM. Apparently, she had gone out for a hunt and was attacked then by multiple assailants. Her left foreleg and right hind leg were severed while she was still alive; these were located about a hundred yards away, half-eaten. There was evidently a large struggle, given that the amount of radiation in the area was currently lethal to humans. Something had similarly disabled the hatchery guards and destroyed or stolen several dozen eggs.

Her next interviewee was more interesting: Kennt Schmidt, the dragon who had found Aurnia's body. He was even more shell-shocked than the anchor-dragoness, but that wasn't the odd thing. He looked to be some sort of drake with long, snow white fur and seven red eyes: three on either side of his head and one in the middle of his forehead. He was kind of hard to see, because he was partially obscured under the world's second largest umbrella. A tone of nervousness permeated his conversation as he talked about how he had come early, just before sunup, and found everyone at the hatchery either disemboweled or knocked out, then found what was left of Aurnia.

"Are there any other thoughts you'd like to share?" Wendy asked, wrapping up.

"Just one," Kennt replied. He moved his umbrella to give a better view of his face and switched to speaking Draconic. "Something's wrong," He said. "Find me. This wasn't dragons, it was something worse, I don't know what."

The reporter's face dropped, then quickly regained its composure. "Thank you for your time," she said quickly. The camera cut directly to her, and the world's second largest umbrella swished out of sight. "Back to you, Bill."

"Thank you, Wendy. At Wolf news, our hearts go out the all of the dragons who knew Aurnia. In other news, a rash of mysterious disappearances has the North Texas area on high alert. More news after the break."

~~~~~
In the forest, the police were doing their best to keep away any and all people who tried to come close to either crime scene. It wasn't like many dragons dared to get close; they could feel the nausea from the radiation whenever they got remotely close, and it would be debilitating for most by the time they got past the official police line. A few might have heard the commotion, but been unable to approach for the many of the same reasons they couldn't approach now.
Evakylir slowly uncurled from his sleeping position and yawned massively, inhaling a portion of the green vapor that had collected in the tiny alcove during the night. At least when you live miles away from anyone else, he reflected, you can sleep in as much as you want.
Ev stretched his lithe form like a cat, extending his front legs straight out to stretch them and then doing the same for his hind legs. He slowly walked out of his secluded home, being careful to avoid the large, bumpy bag on the floor that held the collection of assorted trinkets he had come across. He squinted in the near-noon light as he emerged. As he glanced around to decide where he would go hunting today, he noticed a flurry of commotion around the forest a few miles from Jessica. Many onlookers - mostly dragons - as well as vehicles were gathered around a point in the woods.
What could that be all about? he wondered. Ordinarily he ignored commotions like this, but this was far bigger than any event he'd seen before. I just have to see what that is, he decided. He doubted for a second that he should go, given that he would have to control his poison breath possibly for a long time, but his determination easily pushed that qualm aside. I should be able to see what's going on quickly enough for me to get out without trouble.
His curiosity building, Ev started towards the forest by leaping off of the ground and using his Luong flight power to make a massive jump. While in the air, he observed that the busy region was quite close to the hill where he remembered Aurnia's cave to be. As he continually repeated the jump to proceed to the forest, anxiety began to blend with his curiosity. The implications of what he had seen so far didn't bode well.
Temezren was absorbed by a book again. Today, he was continuing the fictional story of a human struggling to find deeper thought in the middle of an ignorant society with a fondness for burning things. It's scary how difficult it's been made for him, he thought. I hope society in real life never gets this messed up. He had only recently branched out into literature, and he thought much the same for most books of that kind. ((Anyone want to guess which book he's reading? Besides Jalines; I think he'll already know. I just read it myself.))
"Tem!" a shout rang out behind him. This one wasn't like the usual ones, though. His co-worker Rick was usually annoyed and trying to wake him up to a customer, but this time, he sounded worried for some reason. Very worried.
"Tem, I think you need to see this," Rick called again.
"Coming," Tem answered as he climbed out of the chair and onto his feet. He left the usual annoyance out of his voice as well.
He found Rick in an employees-only room in the back, floored with white tiles and walled with cheap plaster of an equally boring white, the dull brown door already wide open for him. Rick was on the edge of his small wheeled office chair, staring with grave concern at a small TV on the gray desk in front of him. "Good, you're just in time," he said as Tem entered. "Here, listen to this." He turned the TV towards Tem as the little dragon stood on his hind legs and rested his forelegs on the desk to get a good view.
He did listen. Within a few seconds, he almost wished he hadn't as the newscaster announced the unimaginable: Aurnia was dead. Tem gasped sharply before he could stop himself. A searing pain arced through his chest; physically, he had not been harmed, but emotionally, he felt like he had just been stabbed in the heart. A tiny, desperate flicker of hope that something was somehow wrong kept him up for a minute longer, but as scenes and words continued to say nothing against the great dragon's death, the truth of it hit Tem like a cannonball. He lost the strength to remain standing; he slipped off of the desk and collapsed to the floor, staring despairingly at the drab white walls.
Rick pushed his seat away in a hurry and knelt down next to Tem. "Tem? Hey, Tem, are you - who am I kidding, you're obviously not okay. God, Tem, I'm... I'm so sorry. If there's anything I can do..." But he had nothing else to say.
Tem lay there, silent. In that one moment, he had lost so much. A leader, a source of hope, a savior of an entire race, a grandmother... He felt hot tears start to run out of his eyes. ...all gone. Just... gone. He squeezed his eyes shut. Why? Why her? Why now? Why at all? But he had no answers and no way to change it. He could only lie there for who knew how long, burning away inside from the blow he had been dealt.
The flow was steady at the bar, many humans and dragons alike came to relax and have a good time. The food was good, the atomosphere enjoyable, and no discrimination was aloud. A small hexadragon by the name of Creed worked the bar serving drinks to the customers. He may have been small but he moved quickly with much agility enough to give anyone a good show. A couple of bar tricks were pulled off making the customers laugh and have a good time.
"Woah." A customer said almost out of breath. It was a female dragon with light purple scales with lime green tattoo designs on her shoulders. Paulie the manager looked at the TV screen and turned up the volume so everyone could here. Creed stopped his job and stared intently. His jaw was wide open as the news wearily slipped into his mind. The female held her companion which was a smaller blue dragon who was weeping at the terrible news.
Creed felt more like in shock then anything, What? Is this a sick joke? Creed thought; so many emotions flooded his mind. For he did not know Aurnia personally but he looked up to her. She was a great dragon who had done many great things for the dragon community. Creed rested his head on the counter in disbelief.
"Hey kid you don't look so good." Paulie said to him and walked over patting his shoulder. Creed didn't say anything he wasn't sure how to handle the news. "Listen, I can't really understand whats going through your head emotionally but I can understand if you want to take the night off. Go head really." Paulie was a nice man and walked away at that.
Creed stood there in awe and horror. He turned away from his customers and walked out of the bar. The two dragon females who were in the bar already made their way out crying down the street. He had no tears to shed for her but he needed to go home. Yes home seemed like the best option.
"Break time" for Gio meant the time he spent doing nothing at job until some loon called for a pizza giving stupid directions. Normally, he'd have gone wherever to enjoy his time until his boss had called him via the headphoes Gio was told to wear, but rare of an ocassion as it was, he decided to just relax in the backpart of the traditional pizzeria, far from your typical fast food chains, where there was a pair of sofas and a small TV.
Gio sat down next to a quite small human, a teen working in the place to get some money to buy whatever he wanted, who was rather more interested in taking a nap than in giving Gio something to talk about. Hence, the wyvern managed to get the remote control of the TV with his tail, and changed channels with his feet, as his upper claws were stuck to his wings, like every wyvern's.
Zapping. One channel after another appeared in the screen. Situation comedies full of drama; telenovelas, with still more drama; uninteresting advertisments full of lies... But it all stopped when he heard the word "Aurnia". He went back a few channels, and discovered the news that had hit the dragon population that day.
He got up of the sofa harshly, waking up the boy next to him, who made a noise of weak protest and went back to sleep. Gio advanced with stomps towards the exit of his job place, and left his headphones in the entrance.
-I'm taking a day off -he stated trying to recover his usual calm, but leaving some hints of anger- Don't you dare call me today.
And with this he flew away, no real direction, following the lead of "Find me".
When Evakylir got close, he was met by a man (woman? Underweight panda? Hard to say) in a hazard suit. The person raised one hand. "Sir, I need you to stop. This is a crime scene, and it's very radioactive. You're going to have to leave the way you came; it's too dangerous to be here without special protection."
If radiation felt like a huge knot in one's stomach, there was something to what he/she was saying.
Finding Kennt would be tricky. Gio may have glimpsed him around Aurnia's cave, always at night and never in the daytime. He and Aurnia tended to talk off by themselves and sometimes go out on walks together. Still, attendants at the cave knew his name but didn't know much about him. More importantly, no-one knew where he lived. Shouldn't be too hard to find such an odd dragon if one knew where to ask, right?
((I have taken pizza as a breakfast a few times in my life. Trufax.))
Gio flied above the forest/scenario of the crime. There was even more people than earlier due to the sperading of the news. The young dragon hadn't listened to the part of the radiation, so he would have felt rather amused about some people's suits hadn't he been so frustrated for his lack of ability to find Kennt. And after a few minutes flying, trying not to be spotted by going down fastly when he thought someone was looking his way (he's not a ninja, he was surely seen by everyone ever), he realised he felt real bad. And as he flew lower he found it was worse, so he advanced past the people, so if there was any people who hadn't seen him before, it was sure that he had been noticed when crashing against the ground like a meteorite in slow motion.
Sabestian remained as blank faced as ever, while he watched the news. He'd be the first to admit, he hated dragons, but he liked the burgers here, so he always tried to hide it here, if only for the sake of his meal. Well, hot damn. Guess the dragon's days are increasingly numbered. He thought, as he resumed eatting his burger. He could not show his enthusiasm for this turn of events, there were a few too many dragons in the room, and he'd left his guns at home.
Finishing quickly, he threw his trash away and left the diner. It was time to get home soon, get his gear. This was going to incite a riot among dragons, he knew that, and he also knew, that that was as good an excuse as any to kill a few by 'accident.' Oh yes, he had to get ready for this, this was most certianly not something to just ignore. As a peacekeeper, this, this was his duty.
Irinix had been watching the news at a friend's house (human friend) when they had reported the Dragon Queen's death. Or, in this case, murder. He now was just sitting outside, attempting to get a reasonable-sized flame in his trident tail-tip. A small flame was flickered out of existence as Irinix continued to think about this. What would this do to the dragon population? What had that dragon (which Irinix had assumed has a hexadragon) referred to? Was it something dragons should know? This wouldn't be the first time Irinix had accidentally missed something and had to pay for it later.
He sighed, and stretched his wings up. He brought them down slowly, sighing again. Whatever was going to happen, Irinix got the feeling he'd be caught up in it. And that was usually a bad feeling for him. Kinda like a bruise in one's liver that hurt everytime he moved. Just one of those things, like an old man's knee aching before a storm. It was just one of those little signals that alerted him to something about to happen. Of course, the previous times he had felt this way, it was over something small, like a pop quiz worth 200 points, or when his mom made him go to the high school dances. This time... This was big.
((I really hope this isn't a bad first post. I'm just trying to have fun and still be, at best, on par with you guys. And yes, I specified that his liver hurt. Do dragons have livers, or do they have something else?))
With the sound of HAZMAT and ambulance sirens and horns going off all through out the entire forest, everyone would assume that all dragons that lived in the forest would woken by the noises, but yet, one dragon, a Drake that lives in the woods, was still asleep. At first he had woken up for a morning run, and quick snack. Well when he finished his run he climbed up a tree, jumped to other trees, but then found that one particular tree top was comfier than his bed, so he decided to take a quick snooze, well that was over 2 hours ago and he still is sleeping.
With a slight yawn and a quick stretch, Thirkesin, the Drake who actually goes by Thirk, woke up to see that he had fallen asleep on top of a tree. He quickly scaled down the tree to see tire track on the ground, he figured some humans drove through here for some reason, but what he didnt know was, why there were so man tracks, leading to the same location. Thirk spun around a couple times looking at all the tracks, and wondered why they where here. He then looked around where he was and didnt really see any dragons near by, except a few that had worried faces and some were even cring. Thirk felt as if he missed something very important and he wanted to know what it was.
There was quite a lot of shouting as Gio flew directly over the crime scene. His nausea was much worse now that he was on the ground. Four men in hazard suits came running, shouting something about radiation and a decontamination chamber. It was kind of hard to tell exactly what they were saying because their suits muffled pretty much everything, but their intent was clear.
~~~~~

As Sebastian left the cafe, several dragons left with him. They were all pulling out cell phones and dialing friends to tell them the news. The cafe was getting a bit too loud to be calling people, because that's what about half the customers were doing, all at once.

~~~~~
((Dragons do have livers.))
If Thirk wanted to know what had happened, all he needed to do was ask someone.
Ak, see the news from his spot in the cafe, after gathering enough money for a cheeseburger, saw the news and left the burger there, slightly more money to pay with the burger, and he ran out in a quick run.
"kwi uoinota! uoinota! uoinota!"
Aurnia? Why her? Why not some worthless human dictator or the CEO of some stupid human company? Why Aurnia? He ran past Sebastian and jumped. His wings unfolded as he went into flight. He flapped his wings towards the scene of the crime. No HAZMAT, DEFCON changer riika was gonna stop Ak. If his name was Ak!
Well, it technically wasn't...
Gio looked at the men, who seemed to have becomen all of a sudden hazy and blurred... And they were moving too much. He could barely work out a pair of words, before he had to close his snout with strength not to leave on the ground his breakfast. He was soon taken with the help of a few more experts to a cubic room sealed with crystal, placed a few minutes away. Attending to the tone of the men's voices, and the speed with which they were working, told Gio that something was wrong with him. More than usual, that's it. He wanted to ask what the hell was going on, but he felt too dizzy to even open his mouth.
Kaldra opened her eyes groggily; she’d collapsed beneath some trees after flying for days on end. She had left her cave in Yellowstone; it brought back too many harsh memories of her mother’s murder.
It was so cruel, without a seconds warning. I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye, just one moment she’s going outside, the next she’s lying dead…
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she got slowly to her feet. Kaldra stretched, first as long as she could go and then flexing her wings. The sunlight flickering through the trees glinted off of her dark scales, sending spiraling beams of light onto the tree trunks and grass around her. Then the peace was shattered by sirens.
What’s that?!
She scratched a long white claw across the ground, got a running start, and leapt into the sky. Her wings opened as she glided through the breeze, riding thermals to minimize effort. In the distance, she could see a large cave, which she knew by instinct belonged to Aurnia, the leader of the dragons. But something was wrong, people and dragons were swarming around it and there was blood on the rocks. Kaldra landed nearby, walking cautiously towards the cave on foot, her wings folded along her back.
