Here is where I will list all the threads with contests templates and so on so people can find them easier! If you would like something special wrote underneath your contest link Just tell me by posting below! I hope you find this useful!

**Important**

If your thread is not listed please post a link to it here and the name of the thread. If you do not post your thread here and I see it and I think it looks bad I may not post it in the list. Also When your contest is over post that here for others convenience, and to help me. Also I only look at the first three pages so if you are behind that with an active thread I do not know about it at all.

Advertising here is know as sponsoring. The way you do this is to PM a person and ask them if they would sponsor your thread on there thread and you will sponsor them, this is a very good partnership cause it will bring people to you and bring people to them so it is a win win situation.
Also you can advertise through your sig by posting a link to your contest there, but do not post look at my sig every where you go, that is spamming, against the rules.
Also do not PM people asking them to join, most would think of this as a desperate attempt and will ignore it or will send emoland fish to rain down on your thread, not good.

.: Prizes :.

To even get members there must be prizes of some sort. The most favored ones are comments or subscriptions, this is where you will go to there spore page and look at there creations and comment on your favorite ones there, or in a subscription you befriend them. Now another way to gift people is to give them a Signature (sig). A signature is a picture at the bottom of there post that tells who is posting since it is generally unique. You will either have someone make them for you or you make them yourself to give to the winners. Now I think the hardest way to gift someone for their winnings is to make a creation for them, but these are only excepted if you are a good creator.

-P.S. Generally Prizes are only given out to the first three, but you can have more.

Contests

Contest are a longer lasting form of competition here on the forum, and generally can pop up with any subject, however keep in mind that spore is limited to is ability to produce quality, so do not expect an exact replica.
In a contest the OP holder will tell you what he or she wishes for you to make through a Picture, Text, Both, or some other mystical way. A contest essentially is where you start from scratch making a creation to fit the threads description. Now a contest can have more than one creation to be made, but is generally just one.

To make a contest you must have a title with the word contest in it and the name or what ever it is they are contesting over, like Andrew's Chameleon Contest. Then Put your descriptive Element, Prizes, and if you wish sponsors.

Create-Offs

A create-off is the longest lasting of the competitions. In a create-off you will be placed in pairs to face off by creating what the OP holder tells you to, and the better of the two creations will end up winning. Now in a create-off you must set a quota of people to join before you can begin, so I would say the least being 12 and the most being 32, unless people really like you then, you can go to 100. But practically everything else is the same as a contest.

-P.S. Do not have age, rank, etc requirements to join people do not like that.

Template Challenges

A template challenge is where someone will create a creation that has hardly no parts on it and is at the lowest complexity possible, and is typically white (other wise you will get several solid X colored creations). In this type of competition you will post a picture of your template and a link to the template( so people will know if they like it and they can download it) Then you will give a short description and set the creators free.

This is A new form of contest here on the forum, that yours truely thought up, the main reason this was created was because i was extremly tired of the normal challenges and contests. So i made a guide thread for it so here is the link go and visit it!

4. Do not bash new people for there creations, you to have made something just as bad and never shared it.

5. If you catch some one breaking forum rules do not post it, PM a moderator and they will take care of it

Helpful Hints

Okay people just because you think you are not a good creator doesn't mean that you can't participate, you need to go out there and give all the contests you see your best shot, so people will feel good about there contest and you will learn to be a better creator!

When you are going to create a contest thread and you want it to look good it is best to plan it out on paper before you actually try to type it out, the best results come when you actually plan what to say!

If you see that someone that has a thread that isn't so well give them hints on how to improve it through PMs! I know I would appreciate that!

If you think someone is new help them out and in the long run they could help you out in troubles that you would have never thought you would have!
