Dr. Pepper Robot parts troubleshooting and other stuff

I am having the same problem as the one who poseted before me where i downloaded the one using the Dr. Pepper code and i installed it and everything, my profile even has the bot parts symbol but it wont let me use them it doesn't even have them in creature creator. I am using firefox and got spore in this order SPORE + GA + C&C i have all patches downloaded. can anyone help me with my problem?

EVERYONE! i got the parts! ok, first of all, there is a NEW VERSION of origin, download it. once it is done, download the parts pack AGAIN, and it will give you the option to install it! do this, and it will update your game! ::

I can't view others' bot creations due to the core spore bug. Any solutions?

Seems my Antiandu creatures and my antiandu adventures are locked. How can I avoid this problem?
I installed the bot parts like a mod, as the setup.exe was not working. Downloaded from Simprograms. Still able to share the creatures with bot parts, however, as I registered my code last week. Help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I believe you have installed your game the wrong way round. It must go like this to avoid most errors:

Spore
Spore C&C AND patch 2.
Patch 5
Spore GA
Patch 6 (Roboparts)

Then, someone else may have your answer.

Is the promotion still running? Like, if I were to go out and buy a bottle of Dr.Pepper just for the code would I find one, or just be wasting my money? I noticed that the last post here was from last year, but the Dr.Pepper site still lets you regiser for bot parts, so I decided to ask.

Yes it is.

I already have the no upload version, and I'm trying to install the legit version from the Simprograms link, but when I do it tells me "You must unistall SPORE(tm) before uninstalling 2010 DR PEPPER EA GAMES EVERY BOTTLE/CUP WINS PROMOTION." instead of installing it. What am I doing wrong?

If you installed bot parts before galactic adventures you must reinstall the WHOLE GAME. Annoying huh? I lost most of my creations because of this monstrosity. MAKE SURE when you reinstall, you install galactic adventures before bot parts, and then things should be fine.

Installing bot parts before galactic adventures bugs up the game so badly you can't play at all. I've experienced this firsthand

Here is the install path I used for reinstallation:
Core SPORE>Creepy & Cute>SPORE Galactic Adventures>SPORE patches 1 through 5>Bot Parts.
Creepy and Cute and Galactic Adventures are add-ons, not patches, yet bot parts is a patch, patch 6 to be exact.

Dr Pepper teamed up with EA to offer a small parts pack sort of like C&C, but it was a few robot parts.

Anybody can download and install the parts, but it pretty much sucked because to share creations, you had to get a code off a Dr Pepper cap. And you had to be in the USA.

Lots of people installed it. Some people magically didn't register but still can share them, which is a database malfunction.

If you violate the terms and install and share (which you can by putting the creations out on somewhere like http://www.servimg.com/ and people can drag them into their spore) -- the worst thing legally Dr Pepper can do is ask you to stop and possibly for compensation LOL which is about the cost of a pop, since the things were free with pop.

I can't imagine they would bother anyway.

So I downloaded bot parts off of simprograms on my other computer, it worked fine. Should I go ahead and get it on my good computer? Any tips to avoid getting locked creations issue?
