The idea is to remind twitter users that there are official twitter accounts out there.

Most of you probably have twitter accounts. Many of us have several. I've noted that many of the spore creators have accounts under their spore user id's, and the discussion is often about spore. There are even some contest accounts.

There are also accounts for Cactus and others on the EA team, and spore itself has an announcement account.

It's fun finding the creators you know, and meeting some new ones, through Twitter. These are some good places to "friend" and link to, and also to look for people you know in the friend lists!

And don't forget the tag searches :: #DarkSpore #EA #Maxis #Spore #games etc.

It's actually pretty active. Mostly contest announcements and such. Downtime.

Props for other games.

I was interested because it lead me to the accounts of other player and let me see what they were posting about the game. The european community is much more active than the americans

But mostly creating, contests, ideas for contests.

The best creators I know are mostly german and dutch.

I agree with ya yoshii. I hate twitter too. Facebook is better holds better stuff other than sayings.

Depends on how they are used and who your friends are. One of the guys I hang with wrote an IRC client for twitter that turns it into the fastest adhoc chat client I've ever used!

People control what they put up on either venue.

If you only friend idiots, what do you expect to see?

OTOH, I learn a LOT from the people I share twitter with. Brilliant minds. Brilliant tweets, even when they are silly.

I kinda figure that much. My x-wife uses twitters.

I just think it's really funny every time I hear people running down the applications for the quality of the posts!

I hate intrusive ads, and the fact that FB tests changes just a little better than EA does. Those are app faults.
