Cheating in Spore is easy. Here's how.

Step 1: Press Ctrl + Shift + C.

Step 2: Type one of the following cheat codes.

1. "moremoney" Gives you 1 million of the spucks.

2. "setConsequenceTrait space_what trait you wanna be" Lets you change your archetype. It will also reload superweapons if you choose your own archetype.

3. "refillMotives" Refills your health and energy completely.

4. "help" Opens up the list of cheat codes.

Step 3: Press Enter.

Step 4: Voila! You've cheated!

Effects of cheating:
1. You get the Cheater badge. It is worth 0 badge points, however.
2. If you use a certain cheat, it will render it impossible for you to collect achievements. Be careful.

Could be helpful for somenoobs, I suppose.
After all this time, nothing's changed. Everyone in this "community" is in it for themselves. Maybe there's some exceptions to that rule. Maybe you're the exception to the rule. But if you're honest with yourself, you'll probably realize that you're not. Those who give comments only give them in hopes of getting those comments returned and becoming famous someday. The haters stay because they aren't willing to let that one time go. Maxis isn't around because they're doing something else, trying to get money on some spore spin-off. There's nothing but filth and despair as far as the eye can see. You call this vortex of greed and anger a community? Ha. That would be funny, if it weren't so sad. So I don't want to be here. There's a saying I'm well aware of around here... "ragequit, return as alt". Honestly, I don't see myself doing that anytime soon either. But if it makes you happy, you can believe that I'm still here. But I won't be. Because I know for a fact that there are better places to be. So toodles. Enjoy your wasteland. I don't like it, it smells too bad for my sensitive nose.

This ragequit note needs to be longer and contain more caps lock.

Any cheat that effects gameplay will disable achievements for that game file, not just a certain one. That may be what you meant, but your wording suggests that there is only one cheat that will do this. Also, remember the glitch that will disable achievments for ALL games, not just the one you cheated on. Proceed with caution.

But to add on to that, the ones that don't affect gameplay directly, such as the stylefilter ones, will not disable achievements.
