They were right

I read this text about 6 months ago, I didnt believe them. I thought "Spore cant be a bad game, not after all this years, it will be perfect" but turns out they were right.

Actually, they were fairly majorly wrong. The biggest issue with Spore is most certainly not its lack of social interaction.

When I play spore and I meet another creature I dont feel like I am interacting with anyone, its just a model, thats all.

Are you calling ThrowerOfStones a fanboy? Becaouse the way I see it he meant that gameplay is the biggest problem with spore, not social interaction.

actually I totally agree with them. That is what I find the most lacking. Not becasue it's not multiplayer, which I think is fine, but because the community tools are so lacking. I think a great deal of us put a lot of time into our creations with the expectation that they will be seen in other people's games. However we get VERY limited feedback on our creations in the metaverse that it makes caring about them trivial.

There are single player games out there that a fairly popular. I don't think spore was supposed to be a massive multiplayer anyways, you can just look at other people's creation and comment on them (or use them). I agree, the human to human interaction is not the biggest problem, it is the gameplay (isn't there a free demo for the creator editor if all you want to do is create or am I wrong?)
