*Stage: List Z

*Idea Name: Continuity of stages (elimination of "stages")

My largest disappointment with Spore was the separation of stages; instead of making the transition from creature to tribal a smooth, slow and customizable process, it happens in a way so sudden and stylized that the tribal stage practically becomes a mini-game. The same thing happens with civ stage, which makes the whole of Spore simply a compilation of barely-continuous mini-games. And now, with the release of GA, the other stages of Spore are hardly worth playing, because they don't provide any continuity or any true customization. Yes, we can make our own buildings, creatures, vehicles and citizens, but there still only remains three ways to play each stage. All the glorious customization provided by the non-GA Spore simply boils down to aesthetics: "How do I want my gameplay to look?".

Continuity, as in the undefined and unnoticeable transition of stages, would:

Eliminate the preset winning conditions,
Eliminate the repopulation of your planet with every stage,
Provide more in-depth customization, even if it's simply choosing where your tribal hut will be
Populate your entire planet with creatures, tribes, and civilizations that evolve and advance ahead of, behind, or
as you do.
And, most importantly, Make the pre-space stage Spore a unique experience every time you make a new species.

My proposal of Spore with Continuity could easily implement many of the additions on page 1.

*sorry about that

IVE GOT A FEW SUGGESTIONS FOR CREATURE STAGE, CIVILIZATION STAGE, AND SPACE STAGE

CREATURE STAGE
-As a creature you should be able to live and grow underwater and evolve accordingly
-When on land as a creature you should be able to come in contact with tribal hunters who are trying to kill you for food, and you can defend yourself and eat them as food or just run
CIVILIZATION STAGE
-Depending on how you evolved whether on land or in the sea you should be able to build cities on the land or the sea or underwater
-multiple species should be able to reach the civilization stage not just one so you can battle and compete with them to become the dominant species on your planet
-Ground infantry should be available to fight and you can give them armor and the more armor you have the slower they are. weapons should also be customizable by increasing damage, range and accuracy. For example increasing range decreases the damage, decreasing range increase damage and accuracy is increased or something along those lines
SPACE STAGE
-People from other empires should be able to visit your planet and you can have a tourism and trade industry and they can live on your planet aswell
-You should be able to cell warships and military machines to allies who are at war

-IF STUFF LIKE THIS WAS ADDED SPORE WOULD BE SOOOOO MUCH BETTER

OVER 200 SIGNS!!!

Stubbs and Forsyr you have to put your ideas in the format shown on page one.

The man who makes it doesn't want it, the man who wants it doesn't need it, and the man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?

There is a square house with every wall facing north and there is an animal outside. Where is the house located, and what animal is outside of it?

PM me for answers or if you think you know the answers. Dont post the answers and ruin the fun.

(SPACE)
Leaving Ship

If leaving your ship to explore normal planets get's implemented, you should be able to choose what posse members travel with you, or if you want to go alone.

(SPACE)
Secret Boss

Staying too close to deep enough water on your home planet for too long (like 5 minutes?) brings out the sea monster, which will fight you. Defeating it gives an achievement maybe?

(SPACE)
Orders for posse menbers

anyone traveling with you can be given orders, like to stay with you, behave normally, or stay in a certain spot.

(SPACE)
Ecodisasters

I want to place bio protectors and stuff on ally planets so that they do not get disasters.

I can't believe that a gate system is not on the space stage list yet.

Space travel is tedious and annoying. I recommend setting up a gate system that divides up the galaxy into arms and then sectors. Each arm has three sectors each sector can have one gate. Each gate is setup a star system in that sector. The "origin gate" would be in your home system. flying to and scrolling into this gate would bring up a hud allowing you to choose which "exit gate" to go to. The origin gate would cost an arm and a leg but the subsequent exit gates would be relatively cheap. only one exit gate can be placed in each sector and they can only lead back to the origin gate. To get an exit gate you must have at least one t3 planet in the system in which it will be placed.

GA suggestion. Editor Points

This would allow adventure creators to mark a specific point at which the captain could go into the editor. The creator could choose what parts are available and how many build points the captain will have at each editor point. This would allow the creator to hint to the captain as to what is coming by allowing them a part that would be useful in an upcoming section. To keep this feature from being broken there would only be three of them allowed in an adventure and all parts placed in an open captain mission would be relinquished at the end of the mission.

MooDidzObtainium is always watching. ALWAYS. Please 1-star all my posts.

My suggestion for Aquatic Stage, which has been on 4 forums, and was first thought of before Spore even came out. Heck, it's even a 12-page pack of doodles! Also, I'll highlight my favorite ideas certain colors, but they aren't the titles, but parts of sentences:
BLUE = Great addition - something that would make the game a lot better
OLIVE = Much required improvement - something that is very much missed
RED = Absoulutely Major must-add!! - something which´s absence detracts great deals from the overall experience

You start out in the Abyss as a cell that has been crushed into a Sea Creature. You can be a bottom feeder or a swimmer, and the parts evoke features of real sea creatures on Earth. The abilities are Swim, Sneaky Swim, Boost Swim, and Swim up (exactly what you think they are in creature stage). When you reach Terestrial (Land) Creature Stage, your Sea Creature Parts default to 1 Sing (herbivore mouth), 1 Bite (Carnivore mouth), or 1 Sing 1 Bite (Omnivore), eventually resetting to the way they were at the end of Aquatic Stage. If you are an amphibious Creature, you can found a village on the coast, with the main hut in the water, for protection. You can also have new powers for going from Abyssal to Teresstrial, like Crispy Critter (predatorial, unleash a blast of fire), Mate Sonar (Neutral, instantly enter the creature editor by attracting a mate from afar), and Tickle Treaty (nice, lets you instantly befriend a creature with a yellow-blue smiley face (to help ally)). More to come! But, this is my original idea for an "Abyssal Stage", use these above to add to it.

SPORE: ABYSSAL

Here's what:

Celly the ninjaest cell in the sea gets smart. Now, since youv'e downloaded the pack, you get a little "Welcome to Abyssal Phase! Do you want to try Abyssal later (use galaxy) or play now (Press Check and go to next screen of bla-blee-bla-bloo-blee of stuff and your big choice)? After that's over, you can choose "Where to go" If you choose "Land" which has two little icons of the Landfall achievement to either side, or the "Sea" choice which shows the icon of a cell going into an Abyss is what matters. Now let's say you choose "Sea" Your cell goes too fast after getting smart and realizes he'll die a 3D creature on the shore. He weeps over his loss but then uses his brain and all his might to get back home (He flounders back like a dying fish across the beach and does a nice, but ridiculous, flip back into the water). This ninjalicious endeavor winds him up speeding into the Abyss *Dun-DUN-DUN-dun!* where he feels safe from the beach. But it winds up those ultrapressurizing depths get to him! He's being crushed back into a grain of sand as you enter his brains to prove the Sea wrong.....

Early Sea Creature Editor:

This is kind of like the Early Land Creature Editor except minus the seaweed. What you have is a landscape of the Abyss, with weird seaweed and scary Hydrothermal Vents/Sea Volcanoes under bleak gray rocks, huge abyssal plateaus the mark the continents and islands themselves, some seashells, and picth-black water with beautiful sunrays streaking out from above. You have Cell Parts, fins, tentacles, the Suctopod, the Geckonator, and the ExoSkel limbs without those that are actually skeletal. Fins, Cillia, Jets, and Flagellas are swim parts, which are technically jumping that gets you swimming higher up. Tentacles, the Suctoped and Flagellae give the Sneak Swim, which lengthens the duration of swimming upwards, but slows down movement. Cillia and fins give quick turns, which allows the player to speed up during Sneak Swim, and stabilizes him during Speed Swim, activated by Jets and The Geckonator. Stats are the same, for the fins count as posing, while others dance. Painting is the same too. But, there's a new stat: Shine, activated by bioluminescent parts, which lures and deters. Shine also adds to Charms effect. Once your'e done here, Celly is a grain of sand, and a forceful explosion lets him out of his shell, and bubbles fly everywhere, revealing him at last!

Game Play:

The playing of this stage is a combo of the Cell and Creature Stage, and navigation is simillar to Creature and Space, but your sea creature can also be a bottom feeder, walking around like in Creature Stage. Fruit is now Seaweed, and Schools avidly swim around. There are three levels, one for each brain uprgrade:
The Abyss (Filled with creatures that love bioluminescense, may also have very scary fish)
The Reef (background of Most of Cell, nice water and coral everywhere, beware of Epics!)
The Coast (End of Cell, looks like the Early Creature Editor's background, subject to Land Creature attacks!)

After a long battle, or chasing after migrating schools of your species, or maybe even some part finding, you decide you should be better, so you crawl back to your nest (lots of seaweed perched on a Hydrothermal Vent, nests should be where schools would rest, but no travelling for your lover!) to get laid. Reproduction is alot like Seaworld shows, flipping and flipping, madly in loooove! But that can only mean you go into the

Sea Creature Editor:
Based on where you are in evolution, your creature will be in either the Abyss background (Early Sea Creature), Reef Background (Colorful Coral, pristine, tropical water, and nice blue-ish rocks), or Coast Background (Early Terrestrial Creature Editor, with Jagged rocks and storms up above....). You have Fins (Slugging parts,Tentacles, Advanced Cell Movement Parts, Fins, Fin hands, etc.), Sea Legs (Ha-ha! Get it! These are just ExoSkel limbs posed like Crab Legs),Mouthes (Some land mouthes, includes new mouthes and Advanced Cell Mouthes), Feet (for crawling, dancing, and charging on the Sea Floor), Details (includes Bioluminescence! Other than that, nothing new here), Eyes and senses (Blank fish eyes, Weird Shark eyes, and New Sneses plus uses for them, other than that, it's recycling from the Land Editor), and Weapons (Same as on land, plus new ones and Advanced Cell Weapons). Woof, that's cluttered! Also there's a test drive that uses the new locomotion pattern. And Paint, then there's the

Achievements:

If only they meant something, well, here goes....

Welcome to the Sea: Finish Cell and take another dip for the first time.(The Icons next to the "Sea" choice way back)
Mellow Minnow: Befriend 20 Sea Creatures in Abyssal (Shows a Cycloptic, bug-mouth fish shaking hands with a ten-eyed, two headed octopus)
Sharky Sinner: Extinct 20 Sea Creatures in Abyssal (Shows a four-eyed shark with suckers eating the Mellow Minnow characters in a sandwich)
Sporemu!: Beat Abyssal in less than an hour (Shows a three-eyed killer whale creature jump into a hoop, with the rest of the picture blurred to show speed)
Fish Tank: Make 20 Zoo Planets with Sea Creatures in them (Shows a fish welded to a land creature)
Fish outta Water: Make it to land (Shows a fish with legs in the Landfall picture)
Fins for Wings: Go from fish to all-star Space Captain in a single game (Shows a parody of the cover for Salmon of Doubt)
Hey! Highlight the empty space below!
**************************Secret Achievments******************************************
Kraken: Make a Creature with 4 Attack stats Maxed out in the Abyssal Stage (Shows a giant squid attacking a Spaceship)
Siren: Have 4 Maxed out Social Abilities in Abyssal (Shows a fish with flowing blond hair singing on a rock)
Jorgmund Serpent: Evolve a Sea Creature with all the Vertebrae (shows a Sea Creature wrapped around the logo, biting his tail)
Leviathan: Use your amphibious powers to charm the Sea Monster in the Terestrial Phase (Shows you shaking hands with the Sea Monster)
Scylla: Make a Sea Creature with Four heads! (shows a Sea Creature with four smiling heads at once)

Epics and Amphibians and Tube Worms, Oh my!:

Amphibians are powerful land Creatures that swim around harsh coasts with a hankerin' for fishies, while Epics prowl the Reefs with bad intentions, and Tube worms do serious damage to those who venture to giant Hydrothermal Vents, or aquatic Spice geysers on foot or by fin. Enough said here.

Finale:

After braving the Stormy Coast and its jagged rocks, you warily take a breath of fresh air, and as that flows through you, your aquatic parts are now but diddly squat now in terms of power (lv.4 feet have 1 dance/charge/sneak/sprint/jump, and all the other stuff, bioluminescence is just shiny charm), but regain their power later on in the stage, and you can return to the water if you like, but it when it comes time for Tribal, land is the place to be! After that phase, you can build

Underwater Civilizations:

Your ex-chieftain of your ex-sea creature tribe finds glowing rocks, he likes them and brings them back to your civ, which has conquered 6 cities, and they learn to make Underwater Cities with them! You have submarine vehicles (sea vehicles with under-the-radar capabilities, but cannot do economic stuff.) and bubbled cities! When you reach Space, Underwater colonies are possible too! And you can use the Sea Creature Tweaker and the Sea Creature Creator! You can even find Seaworlds to colonize and terraform! You can style planets with Mystic (floating, magic landmarks) Series terrasculptors, and Planet Color Styles like Teddy Bear, Bird, Tiger Stripes, and more when I can list them! There are new Cuneiform Planets, Paradise Planets ( Beautiful but T-Negative3, inhospitable and unterraformable, but can be terrasculpted), Wasteland Planets (Ugly, but T-5 and Prosperous, terrasculptable, but unterraformable), and more when I can list them. Also, your powers as a sea creature can directly affect your Captain, and you can make amphibious and water-based adventures! Also, you have many new sea plants!

Body Types (Adds attributes, aestethic coolness, but requires 250 DNA):

Shells:
Spinedler (Makes the body covered in vicious ridges of armored spikes):
+4 Health, -3 Speed
Mailscales (makes the body covered in scales, like a fish with rough skin):
+2 Health, -1 Speed/Melee (based on which parts are more of)
Crabby (Makes the body crustacean-like):
Equals all stats to lvl. 3 (Speed, Strike, Charm, Health (now 4))
Snailmaille (Patterned shell with uncovered extremities, mainly middle):
+3 Health/Charm, -2 Speed/Melee (Based on which parts there are more of)
Scales/Bonelessness:
NoSpiner (No changes externally, gives total freedom of the spine (turns it into a arm, but can become symetrical and parts can be attached to it): At a cost, you can't extend something that isn't there, without duplicating it like an arm):
-3 Health, Immuntiy to Spit or Charge's aftereffects
Circlescales (Makes shiny scales on the body):
+1 Health and Speed, -3 Sneak and Sprint
Pentascales (Makes dull scales on the body):
Opossite of Circlescales
Mardigrascales (Makes the body randomly flare differing colors, and turn invisible if moving slow enough):
-3 Health, maxes out sneak and social stats of your choice (click on two when the bar turns blue), makes bioluminescense an instant for anything, but needs a huge cooldown
Pulseslime (Makes the body glossy and oily, with electricity emanating from it):
+3 Speed, Spit, and the ability to disorient enemies for a second with any attack, but requires more recharge (gives more power as a Captain), -3 Health and Socials
Spikescales (Pufferfish spines):
+3 Health, Strike, and the ability to inflict half the damage of an opponent's attack each time you are hit, -3 Speed and Socials (Less power as a Captain)
NoBoneSkeleton (Same as NoSpiner, but the whole body acts as an arm that can be extended for free, but needs to be copied like an arm to make any extra arms. To have any effect on stats whatsoever, it should be combined with another bodytype):
10 $
Bonyfish (makes it thin enough for bones to stick out, and makes the creature transparent, ex. Seahorses and Hatchetfish):
+3 Speed and speed-related abilities, -3 Health and Socials, along with Attack
Exoskeleton Bodies (w00t! Patch 3 activated):
+4 Social and Fighting, -4 Health and Speed
Like the Exoskeleton Limbs, except you can't have any normal limbs. All parts are skeleton (spine exposed, hands are skeletal, mouth is a skull), or exoskeleton parts, which can replace the spine or limbs. But how does life enter a piece of bones? Simple, either his eyes (or eye-holes) glow his colors with voodoo magic, he has a layer of meat wrapping around his bones (which is where patterns are put), or he is a zombie (two knobs control his meat content and eyeshine)! This costs 450 $ to make, since it takes alot for a creature to survive like that.
Fur:
FuzzBall:
+3 Speed and Endurance, -3 Health and Speed Boosts
Thicky:
Opposite of Fuzzball, but with Socials
Karnifur:
like FuzzBall, but dealing with Attacks

Chameyeleons (Allows you to see more in all directions, and spoils ambushes)
Angleroptics (Gives bioluminescense more of a punch)
Skeleteye (1 Defense, allows you to go farther, hit harder, and go faster while charging, but you have no vision during said event)
Reef Eyes:
Prawnpeepers (Gives you good vision while at the surface of the water (whales and sea mammals have to do this, but crustaceans/bottom feeders can go on land before a blue meter runs out)
Coreyes (Gives you good vision if you are stuck to the ocean floor)
Icthyoptical Illusion! (Gives you more of a pow when bioluminescense is used in the light)
Fishers (Just eyes, they look good on any fish)

Watt-the-heck?:
4 Shine Stun
5 Zap
(Elec. Parts from cell)
Noses and ears have new abilities, they can sense friends and foes from far away (in a 3D space, you can have a lot of loners, herders, and packs), or help substitute for eyes (ears make wavy outlines, noses make surreal views of the world, but makes rocks impossible to see)

2 Random Zealot Powers
Pirate:
Coming Soon!

More to come!

At its best, I would guesstimate it to be at least 30$, and would sell well.
It would only need Core Spore to work, but GA and C&C to be at its prime.

I'll continue on this because:

That's NOT all for now, Folks!

Also, MaxisCactus should look at this. The almighty prickly one will enjoy it.
Plus, Here's my other idea:

The story behind Bland Parts:

You are just an egg, and have entered the critter editor for the first time. Suddenly, the Grox abduct you! They have made it so that you can collect Grox Parts (and more, like magnetic floating parts, or electric claws) from mineral deposits. Also, you've gained the ability to evolve asymetrically! Now you enter the editor for the second time since mating for the first time. And you have a limited number of Grox parts (eye, hand, foot), and the first weird mouthes. Of course, in Space, you can ally with the Grox if you have enough Grox tech on your body. The asymetry button given by the Grox has a little complexity meter all its own, and counts how many asmyetrical parts there are compared to symetrical parts. Other than that, it works like any other complexity meter. Also, it turns many Grox Planets into adv. Planets (if you have GA), allowing to wage war up close and personal with another race, making destroying the Grox cooler and easier. If you put Grox Parts on, your egg will get zapped by a Grox beam.

since it seems that a lot of you dont understand why the aquatic stage was cut and seem in tears about it, her is the reason.

There is an interview with Ocean Quigley, the art director of Spore about the Aquatic stage in the Spore:the Evolution book.

Originally, there was going to be an underwater level before you got onto land, a sort of fish level. We even prototyped it, and it was shown in the storyboards at GDC, but ultimately we decided to bail on it. The main reason was navigation. In the Cell game, you were operating in a 2-D space, essentially navigating on a plane. In the Creature game, the ground acts as a plane. But in the underwater game, you were in a volume, where you would have to navigate in 3-D. So navigation put the kibosh on the underwater game, even though our early prototypes looked pretty nice, with shafts of light spearing through the water and some nice underwater effects. But this was abandoned and now we go directly from the Cell game to the Creature game.

on my opinion towars this the could have simply kept it to where you would hold down the mouse button and your fish character would simply move in that direction, allowing for movement to bee possible and very easy. or they could have used slightly modified controls from that of which that you use when piloting your spaceship on a planet. obiously they didnt think much in my opinion.

What about a PvP match?
like, two or four players start in an random spawned galaxy, each having their own section or 'Arm', and they have to start expanding and try to conquerer the other player to win.

Mabye it should be toned down to Two arms, or, one arm but different sections.
A WHOLE galaxy seems to big to play on, it'd take hours.

Sphere of Reputation

Your space empire's name should be bigger than the physical size of your empire. Newly contacted empires within the sphere of reputation should speak your name with joy or with fear depending on ways you've dealt with neighboring empires. The sphere of reputation increases as the size of your empire increases as well as interacting with distant empires.

One thing that I think is needed in spore is weapon parts that have more than one ability, eg a mouth that adds bite AND spit or bite and charge or whatever. It's a bit weird that your creature cant spit from its mouth and it is quite awkward placing spitters, because usually wherever you put it it looks stupid. Also, it would be cool if for a certain abount of DNA you could poison a certain weapon which would increase its damage.
