So lately I've been having a lot of inspiration from old buildings from around the world. As such, I want to see what other people can do with such inspiration, so why not have a club for it?
Basically, this is a club for buildings. Historic buildings to be more precise.
OR
Historically inspired buildings. What do I mean by inspired? Well these dont have to be spot on recreations of the real thing but can be a modernized/ futuristic version of whatever youre making. So think steam punk or other such styles- History meets technology.

So, pretty much anyone can join as long as they want to or already do, make historic buildings. With this, anyone can join; veterans who can make amazing buildings or novices who would like to better their own skills through this club.

If you're indeed interested in joining, just post something you've made that is historically inspired or something you plan on making and I'll go ahead and add you. ANYONE CAN JOIN, THERE ARE NO REAL REQUIREMENTS!

Theme will change...sometime. The best voted buildings for said theme will be put into the OP (first post). All other creations are put into a sporecast that I'll host as well as put in the second post for the duration of the 'contest' which may or may not have trophies...!

Well I don't have much but I think I have a building based off a mayan pyramid, I'll see if I can find it.

Here my latest set (A remake set for Wolfin298's Wolfin species
Its a combination of Mayan, Native american and Egyptian architecture.


As far as things go, I dont do a lot of historically inspired buildings, but with my request thread I am bound to make more

Alright so I've posted a theme area on the second post where I'll post some time period/area that can be worked on. (Usually it's the one I'm working on at the moment, sorry for the bias). Probably end up doing a poll for future themes...

Heres an idea...
Make a Sporecast dedicated to this group/thread.
Every say... 2 weeks change the theme.

The current theme is Pacific island right? People can enter their Pacific-inspired Architecture for the next 2 weeks, and all entries are placed into the theme post.

When the 2 weeks is over, you can judge who is 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Feature the top 3 on the OP as winners, and feature all entries on the second post. All entries should go into the Sporecast.
If you want I can make themed trophies for the winners every two weeks (Say in this case, a gold, silver and bronze palm tree ) and they can be dished out to winners.

Every time the theme is changed, you should change the name of the thread to (for example)
Historical Building Society (or HBS for short) *Pacifica Contest*

Well its just an idea - or call it a concept, but it could be a way of getting people motivated to make such buildings
So Whatdya say?
