How many of the people who voted in this actually understand what the current CEO does aside from what people (who likely don't know either) have written in this thread?

Basically, what I'm saying about this poll is that the internet is a series of tubes and this thread just dumped stuff in it. And we all know what you can't do to the internets.

ON TOPIC: Yes, it is about time EA gets a new CEO. but...

To be honest, the customer base saying a CEO should be canned and the stockholders making more cash means he is doing his job. Usually meaning they are doing their job well.

I do not like the moral decisions made, but it does make a few people a lot of money. The idea of using a brand's current good name to make a lot of money by making cheaper, sub-standard, or exploiting current staff.... It is old an idea as you can discover.

The gent is a great white in the shark pool. Success and failure on grand scales. If you do not like the shift, then you need to let your feet and wallet to the walking and talking. Walk towards it and open your wallet, or walk away and close it. With the SecuRom, in game advertising strategy, and more. The idea is that EA's future games will have a very low margin. You can have 1 success and 15 failures, make a profit, and not lose your playerbase for a few years. Human gullibility and the 'by gamers for gamers' of the past make this possible.

All will require EADM (or the next gen of it in early 2010+) on and running to function. In game adverts will be 'prolific' and by 'anyone who can write us a check.' The concept is to make things sound big and spiffy, then suck enough you buy something new in a few months. When you own most of the brands, then you get to define brand integrity. Or the lack thereof.
