Name of Race: Rokians

Color: dark red

Discription:Long-legged bipeds, with a slim build. They are different shades of green color with different colored markings that determine their future in the culture. they resemble salamanders. They have a sac under their throat similar to a frogs. They have on large hooked claw on their "chosen" hand.

Biology:They are amphibians but spend most of the time on land and do not need to keep their skin moist, as it absorbs the water then stores it, slowy rationing it to themselves. They are onmivores. They are moderatey smart and are agressive when provoked.

Culture:Their markings determine their ranking. They have a almost caste system. What hand their claw is on also plays into their ranking. I will the post the ranking system later. They worship their ruler. They for the most part, do not question their ruler.

Name of Race: Aquasoar (I suck at names)
Color of the Race(for the map) : Red
Description/picture:
Biology: The Aquasoars are a creature that live in a moor. They have webbed feet and hands to swim along with fins to help. They have 5 fingers and 4 toes. They developed natural camouflage because they are preyed upon by a large turtle-like creature. The fin on their head is used to give a menacing impression to try and ward of enemies. They are omnivores that eat mostly underwater vegetation but also eat small amounts of fish. They have an eye on the front and back of their necks that help them watch for predators and some prey. These eyes have depth perception. They can take the spikes out of their back and throw them at enemies which then regrow very fast. They have recently learned to communicate with each other and have formed a tribe after they discovered fire (They live on land).
Culture: The Aquasoars are good with getting along with each other but re extremely cautious about news things due to the giant turtle. They have developed tree huts and huts that float on the water. They tend to discuss things and agree on what to do before acting. They have hunting parties that go out and find food for the trive and ones that defend the tribe. Both genders do both jobs and they switch whenever they want.
Starting location: They live in a moor/marsh with plenty of water and "islands" in it. On map the red is their place and greenish-brown is marsh/moor.
Form of government: Direct Democracy. Every adult has a vote and tie is broken by having kids vote. If the kid vote ties, they roll a rock (like flipping a coin).
Other (I decided to add this): If you don't remember me Veo, I was that guy from Settlers of Yaman who helped you when you were attacked that one time.

So Dante and eragon, you are accepted. Dante, it's true your starting area is somewhat big. I'll scale it down.

edit: I edited the maps. Also, do you think we should consider the RP closed? We already have 8 members, and 8 people on one planet can already create quite some action.
I was also thinking that maybe we should an option which would be that the season duration would be of 2 pages, as in 1 page, or 15 posts, 8 people barely have the time to post twice that the season is already over! That's not exactly good in a slow moving RP.

Well, we are thousands of miles- or kilometers, technically- apart. It will be a while before contact. I mean, I'm like 6000 km away from my nearest neighbor, and I think the closest any civilizations are to each other is say, 3000 km, which is still like the size of the United States. By that scale, our tiny territories on the map would be realistically like the size of France!

Exactly. That's why we can't let people get too much starting area. Actually, the area we know of at the start is rather the size of Ireland, but whatever. And the land which is actually controlled or at least nominally controlled by the tribes in much smaller then that, a few thousands of square kilometers. Compared to our minuscule populations, I agree that is very big.

But I doubt many people would accept to start with one pixel or two of land.

Interaction isn't even necessarily the goal of this RP, so don't rush to discover other races, okay.

It'll probably take many years before any race comes in contact with another.

I also would favor the idea of 2 pages per season.

Oh, yes, Mihn, here, you are playing by my rules. That means no population leaps such as in Civ RP, population boosts and advances such as in the aforementioned RP, or any other of your specialties, okay? Take your time. Here you don't need to keep the pace with other nations to retain your dominance, or show others how great you are...yet.

Just figured telling them quickly while they are on is better for them to wait for you; that way they can correct it as quick as possible

I have 2 questions.
Can we break into 2 or more factions?
Could we have other tribes of us exist already in the area?
If so, split mine into two shades of blue, as there is the Tre'wa, the left, and the Tre'la, the right.
